Ginza Restaurant

Ginza Japanese Restaurant is located in a plaza off Collier and SR 54 in Land O Lakes and is one of my favorite go to spots for sushi in the Land O Lakes area. Ginza Japanese grill serves sushi, poke, hibachi, and typical Japanese dishes. The ambiance at Ginza is authentic Japanese style with dim lighting, a big 2 sided sushi bar, open dining area, authentic Japanese music playing softly in the background, and cozy nooks for a more private intimate experience. John's krab Volcano sushi roll comes with krab topping over a California sushi roll like a traditional regular volcano roll 9/10 Ginza's regular Volcano sushi roll comes with salmon topping over a California roll 7/10 but the traditional volcano features krab so make sure to order the krab roll if you want the traditional style. Mexican sushi roll comes with tempura shrimp and avocado and is one of my favorites 9/10 Gangnam style sushi roll 10/10 Red Dragon sushi roll comes with tuna and avocado topping over a spicy tuna roll 10/10Omg sushi roll comes with shrimp and onion topping over krab and avocado. 9/10 Our Service was quick and friendly. Our server was attentive and it was quick to get our food and to close out our bill after eating. Ginza does not charge extra if you request spicy mayo and eel sauce on top of the sushi rolls but they do charge extra if you ask for it on the side, which seems to be on par for most other sushi joints in the area. Ginza is a large restaurant with plenty of seating. I've never had to wait to get seating because they were too busy. There is no need to call ahead for reservations. If you're in the Land O Lakes area and are craving sushi, I highly recommend checking out Ginza Japanese restaurant for an intimate experience!

Went to lunch here for the first time with bff, and thoroughly enjoyed it, both company and meal!I ordered off the lunch menu, Udon noodle soup with Tempura veggies. It probably was the best Udon noodle soup I ever had! The broth was incredible, and the Tempura veggies were crispy and plentiful. I would come back and have it again, that good!

There are sushi spots far and few between in this location so it's a good alternative to publix sushi. Sometimes they are open when they say they are and sometimes they are closed with no voicemail for over a week telling you that the place is closed. I didnt' find out until I drove 30 minutes to the location and say the we are closed for the week sign...a voicemail on the machine would have been a lot better. Lots of other cars and I were kind of staring at each other like..why are you closed on a random wednesday night?The ambiance is dim light and can be romantic or great for groups.

The sushi is so fresh and service is great. Highly recommend as our local sushi restaurant

This restaurant has become the norm that my family judges sushi against. The service is great the food is delicious.

I wouldn't eat here as a first choice. They give you a stack of different paper menus that are nasty and the prices don't match what they charge you. The Server is the one making the sushi. And it just wasn't good at all the sushi roll was nasty and sloppy and the salad was chopped lettuce and dressing nothing else. Then when you say something they look at you like you have 3 heads. Needless to say I paid full price for everything and didn't eat anything. No manager presence whatsoever.

This became our go to place for a quick sushi dinner or a take out! It's always fresh, delicious and owners are so nice and attentive! Their salmon is exceptional!

Ginza Japanese Restaurant is located off Collier Parkway & State Road 54 on the side of a shopping plaza next to Publix Supermarket & China Wok. Ginza features a large 2 sided sushi bar with seating for 8, 5 tables in the middle of the restaurant, and hidden private booth seating that gives diners privacy and make diners feel like they're in their own world! The House Ginger Salad was surprisingly much larger than the typical bowl these are served in and the ginger salad dressing was on point! 8/10 The Pacific Ocean Deluxe Sushi roll came topped w escolar, red tuna, colored tobico (inside) krab, krab stick, mayo, s roe, Asparagus, avocado. 9/10 The Fire Volcano came topped with broiled spicy salmon over spicy tuna roll spicy mayo, avocado sauce, tempura crunch eel sauce. 9/10 The Gangham Style Deluxe Sushi roll came with Marinated crab meat, fried onion, eei sauce, spicy mayo, masago, Conch, fried shrimp, crab stick, cream cheese, cucumber, and avocado. 9/10The OMG roll came topped with Steamed shrimp, fried onion, sweet and chili sauce, spicy mayo, (Inside) krab meat, avocado. 8/10 If you're in the Lutz or Land O Lakes area and looking for great sushi, hibachi, bento, or udon noodles with private comfy booth seating, definitely give Ginza Japanese Restaurant a try!

Spring rolls and sushi were really good. Everything came to the table relatively quickly. We'll likely visit again soon!

This was my fiancé and I's favorite place to go. Not anymore. I asked for a to-go order of the skewered chicken teriyaki. (Since they took the menu from me and I didn't know the name. But I felt I described it exactly like it said) this was like $9 and some change. They made the hibachi $18 one instead. Like if there's 2 different chicken teriyaki meals, maybe give the menu back for clarification, cause I don't know the menu!! ‍ she refused to take it back and blamed me for it. I understand it was already made, but that price was completely different. So unfortunate.
