Just had a late lunch - a delicious, custom-crafted, panini-pressed pastrami wrap and Greek "side"/shared salad - at Frankie's Deli: Clearwater, on Sunset Point & Hercules.Tracy, the co-owner, skillfully made the perfect wrap (including honey mustard dressing and the works!) and super-fresh & crispy Greek salad. She is very personable, witty and popular with the locals, who greet her by name and make themselves comfortable in her sandwich shop.So glad we discovered this local gem. We'll be back!!!I highly recommend you give them a try. You'll be GLAD you did...

Great spot for a quick lunch. This place is right out of upstate New York and you can tell by the abundance of Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack decor. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and personable and they make a pretty good sandwich. I had the Cuban. It was well pressed and crispy. Could have used a little more mustard but otherwise it was delicious. Service was fast and the atmosphere, while basic, was comfortable.

It was okay, got the Italian.Bread wasn't the best, which is what separates a good sub shop from average to me. This was average.Seemed like a decent local subs place. Had that ny feel, and so did the patrons.Host was friendly.

I hate to do it but I have to knock these guys down a notch. This will be my one and only with them and believe me I do not like giving 1-2 stars however observations from today must go on all the time. A 2 to me is below average and this was. Inside decor I really could care less about for a "deli" so the mafia posters, old tv, dusty wall near the Coke machine and pink tables did not deduct a point. When I entered there was one customer the owner was bantering with (the only customer) After a few minutes of not being acknowledged I finally realized where a menu was which was taped to the counter. I ordered a pressed Italian steamroller. Got my money out and he never said another word. Never took my money. Never told me to take a seat. Guessing they would start my sub and get the money I decided I guess you pay after and sat down. A few more minutes went by and a nice lady ( believe the owners wife ) provided me said sub. If the sub did not have the oil lettuce banana peppers etc it would have been so dried out that you would not have been able to bite through the bread. Luckily the large amount of oil rehydrated half of the crouton I was biting into. Since there was never mention or offer of a drink you can imagine it was not an enjoyable experience. They purchase boars head brand meats like most local delis bread was not good for a press it should have been wrapped in foil to keep hydrated absolutely nothing special about this sub that one could not make in their own oven much better. While half way through I was about to get up and nine fireman (thank you for your service) came in. So now I have to wait for these guys to order before I can pay. It's not like I wanted to start a tab and possibly order another sub. This is beyond aggravating. Then as I am waiting to pay the owner shouts to the lady what did this guy get so he knows how much to charge me? You took my order. Ring me up right then. Or ask me what I ordered. Trust me I am not trying to sneak one by the local sub shop. A few other observations. A couple came in after me one ordered a tuna sub. She was asked if she could wait or order something different as they did not make the tuna yet. Glad to see they make their own but it is 11:55 and you service a lunch crowd. Of the nine fireman they ordered 4 Cubans and 5 steamrollers. Took the owner a few extra minutes to figure that out before I was allowed to finally get up and pay. They seem to have a following. Seem to get a lot of call aheads. So I am not trying to shut the place down I just did it enjoy one bit of my experience perhaps someone else will have a different one but I am not willing to try a second shot.

Well we ordered for the 1st time on line and I had pulled up the menu (and yes it was YELLOW) and went by the menu on line and the prices!According to the menu, the sandwiches I ordered were $6.29 each and with tax they were $6.73 each! When we went to pick them up, the person (owner) said we had an OLD menu and they were $7.99 each......I called and advised her of the menu I read and she was downright rude and didn't really care if I was right or wrong! So we will be sure to NEVER order from here again and I plan on spreading the word about how rude the owner is and doesn't care what the customer says!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omg this place.....a GEM!!! My husband found this place, we pass by all the time and he stopped one day for lunch and told me about it. Ya'll when I tell you it's one of the most incredible sandwiches that has ever graced my taste buds..I'm keeping it 100%. The owner is this great lady, who's makes all the food herself, and they use boars head meat. The Italian steamroller is my go to everytime it tastes like this place I used to go as a kid and it's brings me back. First the sandwich's are HUGE!! The bread is so good and crispy and the prices are a VALUE!! It gives New York deli, such a cute little place to stop by for lunch or get something to go. Try it next time you need a quick bite to eat!

Ordered online 4 subs and sides of potato salad through Door Dash. The bill was $75 thanks to door dash fees! The driver had to wait a long time, took over an hour and a half to get 2.4 miles delivery. I believe the driver's wait time cause I have had to wait a long time every time I've gone in. This used to be such a great place about 15 years ago and had a lot of regular customers. I hate to see it declining and hopefully it will get a shot to improve back to the good ole days.

Food was fine but 2 sandwiches ran us $16+ with no sides or drinks. Inside is straight of the the 80's and super tacky. *Both ladies there rude and made us feel like a burden between the attitude and no attention given to anyone except their regulars whom she screeched at for the duration of our meal.Cussing away and talking to the owner on FaceTime ABOUT SHITTING HIS PANTS WHILST WERE EATING. Really?***THEY WERE NOT FOLLOWING CORONAVIRUS GUIDELINES. We asked them to wipe the table down we sat at which never happened and they put our sandwiches on the hot press with no gloves without washing their hands***As a food service manager it was gross and I'd never run a store like that. Hope the owner sees this post. We were excited to have a deli around the corner from our new home but we'll never return unfortunately.

Used to be great but now terrible & owner is rude & defensive if you let her know of problem. Cuban used to be great but now there is no cheese & bread is so hard, you can't bite into it at all.. Even if you save half the sandwich to prove no cheese, she claims it is not possible to tell(?) The owners used to be wonderful but now rude. Told her nicely that I did not want refund or another sandwich & just thought she would want to know but she hung up on me. I was a regular customer but now will never go back!
