This is a love letter to Flavas Jamaican Grille This place is close to my house so we are frequent customers whether we order for pick up or delivery they have always been super friendly, consistent and the food you can tell is always made with so much love. Over the past week we experienced the devastating storm Milton and Flavas opened their doors to the community and provided free meals to families in need. This past week has been full of anxiety and so much stress and Flavas coming thru for our community means so much to me. They organized and packaged the food and handled what I'm sure was a hectic process with so much grace! Thank you so much Flavas I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know. I'm proud to be a patron of this establishment they truly an example of what it means to be there for your people.

Great flavor and cook on the jerk chicken. It was not dry with just the right of spicy. The chop on the vegetables was the most impressive being finely julienne cut and diced on the peppers.Overall they have one of the better tasting jerky chicken in the Tampa area. I did have the mashed potatoes the other day and wish it came with some gravy as it was slightly dry.

My chicken curry was delicious! Definitely authentic Jamaican cuisine. The wait took a bit long but it's worth it. I ordered to-go so I can't speak much on the ambiance but the interior was nice & clean. The mango tea was perfect. I hate really sweet drinks - but this had a perfect level of sweetness for me. My only complaint is only giving me 1 plantain ...that feels so evil. I love plantains so only one feels like a cruel joke. Other than that - amazing spot.

I'm a Flavaz regular. It's some of the best Jamaican food available in Riverview. The portion size is generous and the food is tasty. My favorite dish is their oxtails, although the price has increased, so I seldom have them. The stew chicken, jerk chicken and cabbage are also very good. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly.

The energy when walking inside Flavaz seemed very authentic & genuine. The music wasn't bad either. The 2 young ladies I encountered here are very kind and professional, the customer service was great. I went in to order a side of Mac n cheese and some plantains. They made the plantains fresh and they were still hot when I got home to eat them. They were very good and I would definitely recommend them. The macaroni was ok, my babies liked it and I ate it up as well. Would love to try more of their vegetarian menu sometime in the future. Their restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated showing an appreciation for their culture. Definitely check this place out if you have the chance. Also if you want chicken it's important that you show up early because they seem to sale out of chicken pretty quickly. Probably call in to make sure they have what you want, also it doesn't hurt to call your order in.

The lunch specials are the way to go in order to get a hot meal under $15. Each meal I've received has been hot, fresh, and flavorful. My favorite is the jerk chicken lunch special! Comes with white rice or rice with peas, cabbage, jerk chicken (leg/thigh cut up) 2 plantains and a drink and a side of sauce. The portions are good. Customer service is always nice. If you have any questions about the menu they're there to explain it. A lot of people that I've noticed come in and order To-go. There's plenty of dining space if you want to sit down be it at the bar or dining area.

Ya Mon. This little spot delivered over and over again. The oxtails are the hottest item in the place. Get there or order early. They sell out fast. I love their rice and peas and jerk chicken. It's the authenticity for me. Not commercial. Delivered true Jamaican food and service from the heart.
