FIWI island style

The menu is vast and the food is excellent. Orlando is a wonderful chef and business owner. I have been addicted to his curry chicken with rice and greens!!! His portions are huge. He mentioned that he was expanding into grocery items in his cafe soon. God bless this place!

We stopped by this "hole in a glass-wall building" that we knew to be a former spot for a quick bite of bbq and the side fixens' (directly across the street from The Village Inn on Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills, FL). While I don't recall seeing a sign for it as we were approaching (it's on the right side of the street if you're south-bound), the lights were on, and people were inside and outside (appropriate social distancing). As we entered, we were greeted by the vibrant Owner and Chef, Orlando. We learned that he purchased the restaurant just 3 weeks ago; it was obvious that he and his crew were working hard to get things up-and-running with freshly painted bright yellow walls, "fun reggae music" playing, a bright painting of Bob Marley on the wall and the delicious smell of BBQ as soon as we exited our car. Be sure to check out the picture of my ribs. That massive serving was only $17.00. I will get 3 meals from them. I chose steamed cabbage and yellow rice as well. While the serving sizes are large, the rich flavors are even larger!!! The food was absolutely superb and cooked to perfection!!! The meat literally fell off the bones.....YUMMMM!!!Be sure to bring cash, because at this point, they do not accept credit cards. Be sure to give this new restaurant a try! Wow! We came because we saw the under new management sign for a BBQ place we'd tried a couple of times before.... Instead of BBQ, we found an amazing gem of a Jamaican restaurant....Everything we tried was simply amazing. The Oxtail was to die for. Perfectly seasoned and melt in your mouth.... The Jerked Chicken was the real deal.... Perfectly seasoned and barely hanging on the bone..... The Pepper Steak was covered in its own unique seasoning and also perfectly cooked....While the rice was also cooked to perfection, the cabbage was the crux de gras.... I've been to the Caribbean and Jamaica many times..... And the food doesn't get any better than this.... This hole in the wall, without even proper signage, is one of the very best eateries in the area....

Delicious! We got a couple of plates. We got the curry, chicken and goat. And a plate of jerk chicken. Very good, I'm happy to have some island food in the area. Can't wait to try the oxtails.

Delicious Authentic Jamaican food, made from scratch with real ingredients and love! We checked this out when we saw that there was new ownership of what was previously a BBQ place. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was Jamaican! Jamaica is one of my favorite places to go, and the food and culture are amazing. Fiwi takes me back immediately to being in Jamaica. The owner/chef is fabulous and his passion comes through in the food!

I ordered Escovitch snapper fish and it was delicious! Loved the vibes of this restaurant. Very clean, courteous owner and staff and an irie ambiance.

This restaurant is a rip off. I ordered a large jerk chicken cheese and rice and cabbage. Also you only get one leg and thigh. It is so overpriced compared to other good Jamaican restaurants in Tampa. They didn't have any cabbage so they gave me a salad instead. Then charge my credit card for a tip which I did not approve of. And as far as food goes it was over spicy.

This food was so delicious!! I felt like I was at my grandmas house the food was great! Would definitely be back!
