I've had the gyro and the chicken shawarma. Always go gyro it's way more flavorful and juicy. Solid spot for halal New York style food

first time trying halal and the flavor was great. Good mix of vegetables chicken and rice! I love the sauce and also the sweet treat after pistachio baklava. I would definitely come back after a workout to fuel up

Update as of 8/16/2024 - Still excellent. Dropped by for a quick dinner and got our usual Combo over rice and salad. Plus we got fries which were seasoned so nicely. Service was quick and the food cooked well. No complaints.

We got takeout from here and it was really well prepared. If you come here and aren't a fan of spicy, just ask them to remove the hot sauce.

Chicken shawarma without the shawarma. So basically middle eastern food without the middle eastern food. Congrats. Now we have another venue that doesn't even cook decent gyros and simplistic cuisine dishes like chicken shawarma platter. No spices no flavor just mayonnaise like the local fan base. Notice all the stellar reviews come from the same crowd. Hehe. Prolly cheaper to fly to turkey and eat like a real one. Instead of helping those with the lack of culture and flavor. It's a failed attempt at an ethnic food option. More importantly it's a disgrace to an entire hemisphere Never forget where you came from. Sometimes it's too late.

This is a casual Middle Eastern restaurant in Cross Creek very close to the New Tampa Public Library (on the opposite side of the road in the plaza with the Shell gas station and 4 other restaurants)They have meat in kebabs form (boneless chunks) or shawarma (shredded flat meat) in which you put over rice or have as a wrap. You can get white sauce on the dish or on the side. There are fountain sodas and desserts like baklava.I ordered chicken kabob over rice and a soda. While I was the only person dining in, many people entered from delivery services and some ordered carryout.Pros:They cook it while you wait, so it is actually fresh. There is a decent amount of food in the rice meal which consists of meat, yellow rice, and salad. The spice mix is flavorful but not too spicy. The cafe is appealing and has a nice red/black color scheme. Roughly 30 people can fit inside.ConsIt takes 15-20 minutes to get your food so call in first or prepare to wait. The meat was VERY dry and you need to have water with you to prevent choking. I hope this is not the case all the time. They were out of lamb when I went on Sunday evening. Also, the salad was just a standard house salad instead of "mint salad" usually seen in many Middle Eastern restaurants. It didnt fit that well.Misc: The A/C is VERY COLD. I am a big guy and I was almost uncomfortable.Overall: this was good.. Middle Eastern food is still a mixed bag in Tampa for me.

We had the chicken shawarma over rice. It came with a nice salad of lettuce, tomato, red onion and cucumber. Condiments include a red pepper sauce and a yogurt sauce. It was delicious. We also added a side of pita and an order of falafel which came with a scoop of hummus. The service was great and the people were very friendly. Not much ambiance, but it was fine for lunch time. Can't wait to try more from the menu.
