My family has been customers of this bakery/ their previous bakeries for 15 years. Delicious, friendly, reliable, and cheap. They make delicious baked goods, but my favorite is the cheese Burek. They have an amazing assortment of Balkan goods inside the store, which always remind us of home :)

First, there aren't many Eastern European grocery stores to begin with around Tampa Bay Area, more specifically St.Pete. And while this one may not be a one-stop-shop for your E.E needs, that's not the reason you go there. The reason one visits this hidden gem is for the variety of fresh and delicious Burek or Pita and savory single portioned bread/buns/biscuits- whatever you want to cal them. Everything is hand made over night or in the wee hours while everyone is still asleep. The amount of cheese in the cheese burek is amazing. They definitely don't skimp out on the filling to dough ratio. It's perfection! And the prices!? $12 a good sized personal burek. They also have a pizza sized one that's about $20-25 and is made in a layered style (smaller ones are rolled). They're an awesome option for a party or pot lucks. Another important thing to mention is their customer service! Eastern Europeans (no matter in what country) don't have high expectations for customer service, unfortunately. However I have never had a bad experience here! The staff is always welcoming, and takes time to answer any and all questions. You must go here even if it's out of your way! I promise you won't be disappointed. I submitted for an address update on the Yelp page but it's 4255 73rd Ave N. Easiest way for me to get to it is by driving through the Home Depot parking lot and exiting by the garden center- it's a small plaza across from that intersecting street.

Great and convenient small store with all the signature Yugoslavian staples. They have a limited food selection which tastes amazing. If you're looking for brands like Milka and Kinder, this is your place to go. Very helpful staff also!

Incredible baked goods! The Borek is outrageous, I got the spinach and the beef one. The flavors were incredible, and the crust on the borek was flaky and delicious. Their baked goods are made daily from scratch. Yum!
