Emily's Downtown Family Restaurant

Delicious breakfast / lunch food at very reasonable prices and amazing service by Beth who helped us. Their hollandaise sauce for their eggs Benedict is made from scratch! Amazing!!!You can't go wrong with this place folks if you are looking for an amazing food and experience!

This was perfection on a plate! I get this breakfast everywhere. For some reason restaurants just can't get it right. Emily's though, executed this PERFECTLY! Plus the coffee was delicious, never less than half full, and the place was clean. Only gripe, the red-aproned bus boy needs to wash his hands after man-handling his junk.

As we walked in, we new we were in an all American dinner, ordered the classics breakfast and my wife ordered the gyro with fries, the food took a little longer than expected, apparently they do a lot of to go orders and only had one cook, but once the food arrived, it was freshly y cooked with plenty to eat, will highly recommend, just be patient for the food to arrive, the servers were friendly and ttwntive

This modestly appointed, tucked away gem gets five stars for flat out doing everything right. Let me run it down briefly... it's clean, it's well lit, there's ample parking, there's diner style counter seating, the wait staff are genuine and helpful, the owner takes personal interest in making sure you have a good experience, they serve breakfast all day, they have a thorough and exhaustive menu, the soda was ice cold, the food came quickly, the soups are stellar, my club sandwich was flawless, and the place is ridiculously cheap. Like, 2006 cheap. As an example, my Turkey & Bacon Club included the sandwich, homemade mushroom soup AND French fries... FOR $9.75! You have to try this place, hidden treasure deep within downtown Clearwater. Highly recommend!

I just left this restaurant extremely unhappy. I've eaten here before, years ago, and I remembered loving the food and service. Not today. I wasn't given the best greeting, but I can overlook that. When I received my breakfast, my eggs and hash browns were cold. My biscuit was hard as a rock. Again, I could overlook all of that if it was corrected. Unfortunately, no one stop by to ask if everything was okay. The server just dropped off my check and didn't say "thank you" or "have a great day". I went to pay. The gentleman, who looked like the manager, didn't ask me how my meal was. He just ran my card and sent me on my way. I'll never go back and I definitely won't recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Nice People, Pretty Good FoodEmily's is a block south of Cleveland and a block east of Ft Harrison, so it isn't on typical travel patterns and is a bit hidden. The restaurant is spacious and very comfortable with big windows. Staff is very welcoming and friendly and on top of keeping the coffee cup full.Food could be a bit a little better. I was there for breakfast and had a couple of standard scrambled eggs. With that was a cup of grits that had nice consistency but lacked flavor. Why can't grits ever be cooked with enough salt and butter? Salt added at the table just isn't the same. I also had the ham which was flavorful but needed to be cooked and seared more. The biscuit was small and also a little undercooked.Food should be 3 stars while atmosphere and service is 5. So, a 4 overall.
