When this restaurant opened it was really good, but little by little it's gets worse. Today I ordered and and the meat was not fully cooked, the take out boxes where all greasy (like they took the carne frita and just dumped it in the boxes), salad was and tostones were all greasy, and rice had no flavor. Why do people open restaurants up and start off good then go down hill.

We were in the area and my brother suggested we try this place because he said they have very good frituras (Puerto Rican appetizers). As far as I am concerned there is nothing better than a well made fritura. I am quick to order an alcapurria or empanadilla, they have both and they are very good. My review can stop there and I would be fine but I also had an order of carne frita with tostones (fried pork chunks with plantains). This meal was excellent. The pork was fried perfectly, not dry at all. The tostones were perfect, bottoming they know how to cook Puerto Rican dishes. My brother had a passion fruit (parcha) frappé it was so freaking good. My mom ordered some white rice with beans, you can tell if someone can cook Puerto Rican food simply by tasting their beans and these people had some excellent beans; mom gave her stamp of approval, and for mom to say they are good, they really have to be good because mom's beans are out of this world. The one drawback I can see people have about this place is the fact that they only have outside dining. I get it, the outside dining is not all that but to be honest, it reminds me of the many places I have eaten at while visiting the island. The place may not necessarily look inviting but the food makes up for it. The beer is cold and the food is delicious, the only knock I would give them is that the service was a bit slow, but I will take slow and food rather than fast and mediocre. Give them a chance you won't be disappointed. By the way, I met the owner who seems to be a good guy, very friendly!

The absolute most authentic Puerto Rican food here in the Tampa area!! I've been searching for weeks now for authentic delicious Boricua food and am finally glad I found this gem!! The alcapurrias are perfect, abs their mofongo is amazing! We had piña colada's, sangrias, and a medalla bucket. The ambience is beautiful and reminds me of old San Juan with the vibes and music! I am definitely returning!!

One of the worst Puerto Rican foods. Sad little bland salad, no rice in their dishes. Would not recommend this place to anyone

This place basics music at all hours into the late night. Zero considerations for the neighboring communities. Reaching out to the commissioners and police on this issue.

This is by far my worst experience in a restaurant ever, they took 30 mins to take our order, 40 minutes to get the food, they didn't even get everything that was ordered and when it got to us the food was cold, I ordered a mofongo which had a fly in it, when it was notified to the staff our server said "ohh that's nothing" and threw it away, our frappes didn't even get on time with the food or even when we finished it and all of this just for mid food. I would never go back to this place even if i get everything for free.

I had the cooked mixed conch, octopus, and shrimp. This meal comes with tostones, half a tomato slice, a flavorful garlic sauce to drizzle or dip , and lettuce. It was my first time trying conch and I think it's good, however, just don't understand the hype behind it. Im not a seafood person, but I was feeling spontaneous. The restaurant is clean and the people were cool. I even dropped my credit card here and the owners found it. The next time I'll be out here for that churrasco steak! See you soon

My husband and I just moved to Valrico from riverview and we decided to stop in and get lunch. He ordered chicharon de pollo and white rice and beans, the lady who served us was incredibly rude. The food was bland and the chicken was fried with batter (super greasy). Normally chicharon de pollo isn't breaded chicken so we were confused to why it was breaded fried chicken. The plantains aren't fresh, they are the ones you microwave and then fry, wasn't cooked all the way. Overall the food was very mediocre and bland, the atmosphere was nice but that was about it.
