El Huarache Azteca

Ever get hungry and want to switch things up?I was in Clearwater for work and decided I wanted something other than the drive thru for lunch. Started out with freshly baked tortilla chips served with some of the best salsa verde I've ever had, and a tall glass of cold horchata. If that had been the whole meal I would have been happy enough. The horchata was like dessert in a glass. So deliciously sweet and refreshing.Then my giant lunch was brought to me. Milanesa de res (breaded beef), with all of the fixings, including a basket of warm, fluffy tortillas. Look at the pictures. It was enough for two meals! So that's exactly what I did. And let me tell you, those leftovers were just as good for lunch today. I'm just missing that horchata. Huarache Azteca itself is vibrant, cozy, and clean, and I loved the music, too. Exploring the side roads... of HWY19 in Clearwater. I discover this unique Mexican spot!! Not sure the region of Mexico the recipes originate. Boy, they did not hesitate to make a statement. This is the second time we stop by and food is consistently delicious, service is wonderful both servers were polite and friendly. It has 2 small chair for outside seating and plenty of seating inside and great vibe inside. Outside you have the melody of local parrots nesting nearby. Definitely becoming a regular here.

Authentic Azteca Mexicano food. When you come to El Huarache Azteca you know you are in an authentic Latin restaurant by the clientele seated. We enjoy places like this. Leslie had the Oredn Tacos Dorados, and I the Milanesa De Res. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures. Ask for Xoche with her Aztecan hospitable smile. One of the best authentic Mexican Resturant I've eaten in in Florida and the US!!! The service was so wonderful and the food was beyond delicious!

Excellent food very traditional flavors . Very nice polite and fast customer service, we stayed outside weather was nice they have 2 little tables with umbrella under the trees and you hear the birds singing, very quiet and relaxing on a Saturday. All the food was delicious . The agua Jamaica and tamarindo also perfectly balanced! Very refreshing!

Being from Arizona I have high expectations for Mexican food. This place was delicious and truly authentic.

Best tacos, chips and salsa, and of course, margaritas!Always a friendly atmosphere . It's a hidden gem right next to the Toyota dealership.

There is nothing "authentic" about this place. Unseasoned, overcooked, "mexican" food for old people that are terrified of flavor and spices. The queso was the most odd tasting queso I've ever had, seems like it was made with Mozzarella, which isn't Mexican in the slightest.Their "hot" salsa was barely mild, so it was easy to tell what kind of clientele they're used to serving. Fajitas came out soggy and severely overcooked. Not to mention that a Fajita plate for 2 and 2 sodas was over $50.If you want good AUTHENTIC Mexican food, try Chile Verde in St. Pete.
