While eating we could see our server ALSO eating at the bar. She came to our table with a mouth full of food, still chewing. There was a baby in a baby walker slipping around. We used to LOVE this place and went regularly. In the last 6 months it's went WAY down hill. AC wasn't functional either.

Came here with friends for dinner after cleaning the beach. The space is beautifully decorated. The customer service was great, though the waitress forgot our dessert, but thankfully we weren't charged for it. The food was great. The rice and beans were perfect. The guacamole was great. My friends really loved their food and called this the best Mexican food they have ever had in the area. I ordered a asada quesadilla and super burrito w/ asada. Both were really full of flavor. Good prices. I would come back to this place again anytime.

A lot of things wrong with this Mexican place I've lived in Texas so I know something about what is good and what is not good with Mexican restaurants. The plates lacked color, honestly it was gross see my pic. The chips tasted like they were fried in rancid oil. The margaritas tasted like they was VERY little alcohol. The salsa was just bland. The tamale was a freakin joke. They said they didn't have shredded beef, my tamale has a mix of shredded and ground (?) beef. The service was way subpar and as others have noted I don't think even the wait staff knows the menu. Way overpriced. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Hoping I don't pay more for this later.....

We ate at the bar (we like to do that), and felt like we were encroaching on their space as the employees also sat at the bar while they weren't running food or waiting on tables. Seemed kind of odd....like we were sitting in the employee break room. Odd. You would have thought that with us sitting there, our service would be excellent. It really wasn't. We got our chips and salsa/drinks pretty quickly...but then it was almost 10 minutes before someone came back to take our order. The place wasnt busy....prob four other tables in total occupied. We finally saw our server who may have been prepping a to go order as she handed it to someone who was at the door. She then went back in the back again, and finally came back out several minutes later to take our order. If we hadn't been so hungry, we may have walked out.Chips and salsa seemed fresh (hot chips) and tasty. We got the fajitas, which were pretty good. Nothing so amazing we would drive back just for it, but still just pretty good. Overall just an ok experience, with the previously mentioned dining/service sitch the off-putting part of our experience.

So delicious and truly authentic. This was one of the only places I could find online that served a shrimp cocktail and they went above my expectations. We also got to try some of their aguas frescas which were very refreshing. Clean and service was great.
