EXACTLY what I have been looking for! This small Puerto Rican bakery is just so good! The food, the service all! This was my first of what I'm sure will be many visits here. So on first visits to Latin bakeries it's a must to try a little bit of everything. Why? Because, science! Got a box of pastelitos (cheese and queso pastries, guava pastries, guava and cheese, and the gorgeous Mallorca breads!) and some Empanadas (chicken and some beef and cheese) Everything has been delicious! The empanadas are very big. The Mrs. loved the chicken option. The beef and cheese were also very good. Although I wished they offered just a beef but I can be okay with cheese. Who's going to complain lol! The guava and cheese, cheese pastries have been, you guessed it...very very good! The Mallorca bread normally sold with powder sugar on top were in a bag which they give you the sugar in a cup to go. A little different, but nothing bad. I put them in the oven for a few minutes to get warm, then placed in a bag with the sugar, shook it like beignets and BAM! Just really good Mallorca bread! Duran bakery, expect me in a lot more frequently! I can't wait to go back. Barry friends (bariatric surgery): one empanada should be more than enough but order two..leftovers cannot be a bad thing!

The puerto rican cake was pretty good. The service was friendly. I wanted to try their food but I just cannot justify $15 for lunch when there are various other local spots serving similar food for much less. It would be nice if they stayed open later but most of the establishments in this plaza seem to close early as well.

It's a new Puerto Rican bakery in the shopping plaza on the corner of Lithia Pinecrest and Lumsden Rd. It's near the Wooden Spoon Diner. It's family owned and local to Brandon. They sell pastries, desserts, breads, sandwiches, and more. It's great that they are close to home.I absolutely love their guava & cheese quesitos. They are so delicious! I'm not usually a fan of this combination, but I love this particular version. Maybe because the cheese filling is sweeter. They also have strawberry and pineapple turnovers. I've only had the pineapple which I haven't seen in this area. It was great! The guava pastries are also a winner. I'd go back many more times just for these items alone. The mallorca wasn't my favorite. It's good, but it's more of a bread consistency than a sweet roll. The cheese and guava on top was very good. It was just too dense in my opinion. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Puerto Rican gringa whose parents were born on the island. I'm guessing there are two different versions. The version that I know (and my mother loved) is the softer one that is more like a sweet roll. I've also had better ham & cheese mallorca sandwiches. However, I will try their other sandwiches and fritter appetizers for lunch one day.Other than that, everything else I've tried was wonderful. I love that the turnover and pastries are flaky and full of flavor, unlike some other bakeries. They are perfect! I do want to try the donuts and tornillos. I also want to try the breads. There will definitely be more visits, and very soon.

We loved this place. The tres leches cake was the best in the area. The service was exceptional although a little on the slow side. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely go back.

I can't believe this bakery closed. went this pass Saturday and to my surprise they're under new owners and don't sell any of the yummy food found at Duran's Bakery. their alcapurrias were by far my favorite and can't seem to find anyone who makes them as yummy and authentic as this place.

Glad to see a piece of Puerto Rico in the states that captures the taste and is almost identical! Definitely worth trying!

I have been wanting to try this bakery for a while. I stopped in for lunch today, and picked up some pastries as well. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be going back. I tried their hot dish special today, and look forward to trying their Cuban sandwich next time.

My husband and I had Tripleta sandwich which was amazing. The quesitos had lots of filling inside, super yummy just like in Puerto Rico
