Every now and then Drica's Cafe Truck stops by my workplace. I'm always happy to see the pink truck with great tasting coffee. I wish Drica stopped by every morning! Drica offers typical drinks you'll find at any cafe; teas, lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, flavor options, etc., but being from Brazil, Drica offers a bit of Brazilian flare with Brazilian baked good. I asked about the Gluten-free Brazilian Cheese Bread and she let me know it was her best seller. I decided to try it with a small cafe con leche for $6 and some change and they didn't disappoint. The cheese bread was delicious. The only thing that would have made it better is a bit of garlic butter on the top. Since Drica uses different brews periodically the coffee will change in taste a bit. If you like the brew you can by a bag of coffee beans to take home right from Drica. One thing that makes this cafe truck so great is Drica herself. She is so friendly and always smiling. You can really tell she loves what she does!

If you like the nuances of quality fresh-brewed, small-batch artisan coffee, a stop at the pink food truck parking around town is for you. Drica is well-versed in coffee tasting, most recently sporting an Indonesian blend. I had the cortado, a 2 shot hot espresso with milk. It was full-bodied yet gentle with no bitterness nor aftertaste. Another day I had an iced vanlla latte with the same bean (1 shot espresso, milk & vanilla syrup over ice. It was a very pleasant experience. Her coffee prices are very reasonable, starting at $2.35 for a coffee and topping under $5 for the fancier ones. Unfortunately I get headaches with coffee (caffeine) and though 1 shot was gentler than 2, coffee won't be habit forming for me. A friend loves her caramel macchiato. Her pastries are delicious, small but high-priced. Her gluten-free cheesebread is very cheesy, her cheesecake ($5) New Yorkishly tasty. The spinach empada ($5) was dry, cold and tiny. The blueberry muffins ($3) are full of flavor but 2 bites. I love the pastries represent her Brazilian culture. I enjoy visiting with her or her mother-in-law Fran who helps (as does her son). My biggest disappointment has been that she is not always at her regular locations so you might get there for a "no show". Her coffee and entrepreneurial spirit get 5 stars but pastry prices and no shows have me rating her overall at 3. Very worth the trip when you find her!

This is a great little coffee truck. They have a good selection of drinks and a few things to munch on. I really like their iced caramel macchiato. It's about the same price as Starbucks, but local (and they park at my office every other week). If you are heading out for coffee and see these guys, try them instead of a normal Starbucks run. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Some of the best coffee available in Lakeland and her treats are far superior to any coffee shop in the area. The cheese bread is AMAZING and very reasonably priced. Service is always fast and courteous. Coffee fans should do themselves a favor and make time to go to Drica's coffee truck.

The coffee maybe good but the empanadas are extremely over priced. I paid close to $10 for two small pastry size. I cant knock the hustle but they wont get me again.

Drica makes my day every time! Her coffees are perfectly rich and delicious and the other treats are to die for, too. That's not even to mention the lovely, smiling, friendly face behind it all. I can't wait until she has a brick and mortar place I can visit every day.

Unfortunately my experience here was one that I will not have again. I got a cafe con leche, one cheese roll, and 3 muffins for 14.50 ...... the cafe con leche was a lot of foam, the cheese roll was meh and kind of old tasting, and the muffins were TINY. I MEAN TINY. They might as well be mini muffins. The value is not there and not worth my time in the future. Sorry! It was just unfortunate-- I was hoping for better.

Love love love Dricas coffee. Personal favorites are the iced Cuban coffee and the iced mocha with (homemade!) whip cream.
