Double Yummy

We are here on a Saturday night around 5:30. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. There were about 20 tables total, mostly 4 top. There were already about 6 tables taken. We didn't have to wait for a table and picked a booth. Thankfully the ice water tasted good. We had the egg rolls and they were crisp and tasty, not greasy. We all tried soup- one egg drop, one wonton and one hot and sour. All were piping hot and delicious. I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice. The beef was tender and veggies nice and soft with a bite. My daughter had the beef and broccoli. Tender beef and crisp broccoli. My husband had the chicken and beef with garlic sauce. The sauce was fabulous and the meat was very tender as well. The portions were great. The prices were reasonable. We will be back to try more!

This place is so good! We came a while back and ordered the Sampler Platter, Egg Rolls and Chicken Chow Mein and it was delish!!; Went the other day..Beef Fried Rice and General Tso lunch special that comes with the Won Ton Soup and also an Egg Roll ...service was quick and the food was hot and delicious ..they also have the Crispy Noodles as well...love this place..my favorite!!! Nice and clean too....they are very nice too...

My friends and I have been reading on the local restaurant social media groups about how amazing Double Yummy is. With 4.6 stars on Yelp and 4.4 on my favorite mapping software, I figured it's probably average-to-good. We decided to give it a try. Our server was incredibly sweet and prompt, always checking on us and our water level. That said, the food was very mediocre. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and it tasted like every other S&S chicken I've ever had. I know these restaurants all get their stuff from the same suppliers. So I basically expect the same mediocrity at every "chinese" restaurant. And that's what I got here. Mediocre. I was happy that it was served hot; extra points for that for sure. But it's still the same premade stuff as anywhere else. My friend had the chicken fried rice, and he said the chicken tasted like it was from a can. It looked like cream-colored uniformly shaped blobs. What's wild Is the number of glowing reviews on social media for Double Yummy. "Amazing" "Delicious" Literally people saying it's the best Chinese in all of Hernando county. I think everyone needs to travel a little more. The dumplings were pretty good. The server said the filling was made in house.

Food was not especially good. The wonton soup had things floating in them that were soggy and I think normally the consumer adds the things themselves if they want them. The wait staff were very good. We had no complaints. Quite honestly, I make better Chinese food in my home than we had here.

Double yummy not to be confused with yummy garden is a fantastic Chinese restaurant. They have a wide selection of dishes and the staff is superb and attention to your needs. This is a great place for lunch for dinner if you're in the mood for good Chinese food. I highly recommend it.

We got take out. The food was excellent. We ordered Lo Mein, Wonton Soup and Chow Mein. The portions were very generous and the food was excellent. This is our new favorite for authentic Chinese food.

We ordered takeout when my daughter came to visit the food was delicious. The wonton soup had handmade wontons. The shrimp and scallops in the garlic sauce was delightful and the moo goo gi pan was on point. We were very very pleased

I wasn't expecting much , little place in a half empty strip mall . Friends said it was delicious and I was skeptical but I was 100% wrong . Walked in server greeted us with a smile and once we were seated got our drinks and took our order. Food came quickly and I was pleasantly surprised . Fried rice had nice vegetables and a great flavor and none of that greasiness some have . Hubby ordered boneless ribs and I got chicken wings we shared lomein and each had an egg roll. I can't think of a single negative about this place. Lesson learned don't let the appearance fool you this place is terrific!

The place is in an old strip mall that you barely know it's there. Go find it for the best chinese food in Hernando! I love the shrimp in lobster sauce, cashew chicken and house special fried rice.

Double Yummy for Double YummyThis location , Formerly my favorite China City , changed hands a few times. Now reopened with new owners. Happy to report, now my favorite Chinese in the area. House fried rice with jumbo shrimp and large piece's of protein. Dumplings perfect and great sliced Roast Pork. Very clean taste and lots of room to dine in. Try the new kid on the block
