Donovan's Meatery

New to the area and first time at Donovan's. Went around 3pm on a Saturday and the place was basically empty (2-3 other tables). Large space to accommodate all parties. Decoration was pretty/good vibes. Appetizer plates had dust or lint on them so they all had to be wiped down after they were placed on our table but no issues after that. The chicken dip was creamy - nothing crazy good to me but the table loved it. Black garlic aioli was very good. I'm not sure I'm able to describe how it differs from regular garlic aioli but if you like one you'll probably like the other. Tempura chicken sandwich was so juicy and perfectly crisp and airy. I barely ate it because I was drinking. Happy hour I think was 2-5(?) so the spritzer was $7 or so. We don't usually drink gin but we're wanting the spritzer and surprisingly you don't taste it at all which was awesome. My friend was able to get the chicken parm that's usually on dinner menu after the waiter asked the kitchen if it was all prepped (it was) so that was a nice accommodation as well. All in all great experience.

Decided to try this place for my mother in-laws birthday because we all wanted a steak. We had a 4pm reservation on a Wednesday evening and this was a good time. We all decided to share the 30oz porterhouse steak and the mac & cheese. We each had our own mash potatoes which we also could have shared. We all thoroughly enjoyed the steak, it was well seasoned and at the perfect temperature which we requested. We all thought the mash potatoes were too salty. And the Mac & cheese was pretty good. My mother-in-law has a white wine, the restaurant had a great selection while my wife had a nonalcoholic drink which she said was very delicious. Our server was very personable and she was knowledgeable about the menu. We thought that it was a little slow especially since there was only one other table in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this location and both me and my wife said we'd come back.

Donovan's is a local restaurant located in the Winthrop Plaza. I will say I have been here a few times and each time it's been under new management. I believe this is the best food I have had thus far the portions are large. The food is tasty and the prices are reasonable. Bonus points because they have a huge wine selection. I look forward to coming back and trying more menu items. The inside and ambience is stunning. Great for a date night or just a bite to eat.

First time here. Started off with the charcuterie board, which had a great assortment of cheese and meats. All were very delicious. We especially liked the hot honey sauce for dipping the bread in. For main courses, we had prime rib, chicken, Cordon Bleu, and the bourbon salmon. I think the bourbon salmon was the best. The glaze was absolutely delicious and deep in flavor. The chicken Cordon Bleu was also quite nice little bit on the salty side and the sauce could've been a little bit thinner on it but otherwise a great dish the prime rib ribs were cooked perfectly nice and tender flavored nicely. One came with a side of mac & cheese, which was probably some of the best mac & cheese I ever had service was on slightly on the slow side, but not horrible all in all it's a really nice more upscale restaurant in the area.

Food and service was great! Went here on a Tuesday night, I had a reservation but it was not needed. I got the wagyu ribeye which was great. Caesar salad was untraditional but was amazing. I didn't care for the fried shrimp appetizer as it had a sweet breading which I was expecting something more savory. The waiter Patrick was very nice and fast, we got a free dessert for the occasion. This place is a great option to have a nice meal or date night without having to drive to Tampa.

Carly went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I appreciate it very much. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to feel like a king

Service was great, drinks even better. And food was amazing. Large servings, enough to take some leftovers for home.

I've driven by this place a million times, but it wasn't until someone who loves this place suggested it.Tons of food options. Although it is primarily a steak house, including Waygu, I had the ziti with beef. And instead of ground beef they put big chunks of steak (like the kind normally in a stew). The plate was huge...HUGE. Enough for two or leftovers. The cheese was so delicious with every bite.Another at our table got the bourbon brown sugar salmon. They raved about it and ate the entire thing.Ambiance is romantic. Lot of cute decorations and lighting. Nice adult beverage menu. Several dining rooms, including outside seating. Without reservations on a Saturday around 6p they sat us at a Hightop near the bar. Great service. And very friendly. Must have been five different staff checking on us. Plenty of parking behind the building with a little park filled with statues. This is a really cute shopping complex.

The food here is awesome. I wish I came here for a nice filet but I went for the half chicken and was amazed at how moist the white meat was and it had a nice chili glaze over it. The brussel sprouts was a very healthy accompaniment to it. I would love to come again and bring some friends.

Food and service average at best, way overpriced. Will not be back, had a nice atmosphere and vibe, maybe drinks only. Pass on the food.
