Don Jose Mexican- Sebring

A group of 11 of us met for lunch recentlyMy go to item on the menu is the salmon salad. It never disappoints. It was fresh and more than plenty. The other ladies in my group also enjoyed their dishes. Taco, wraps, quesadillas and chicken The decor is pleasing. Staff is friendly. Plenty of parking

Food, Service and Ambiance very nice and do recommend. Not to be petty, and I would give them a 5 Star rating but this establishment has a policy of up charging $1.00 if you request Mild Salsa. I suppose most people like spicy but there are those persons that want to enjoy the flavor of salsa yet for medial reasons cannot eat spicy. Sure we can deprive ourselves and not order it or pay the up charge. I find this something that leaves a bad taste (no pun intended). Have traveled the USA and abroad, and have never been charged for the distinction of mild versus hot. Some like it mild!

Two times now we have waited more than 15 minutes to have anyone speak to us once we were seated. Several times employees walked past us without even acknowledging our existence. The employees didn't even make eye contact as they passed by. When the chips and salsa arrived the male "server" didn't utter a word. We understand we were not the only people there but at least tell us that you knew we are there and would be with us in a few minutes.

This place has an amazing spot on Lake Jackson. Great outdoor seating if it isn't too hot. Indoors things can be a bit chaotic with a lot of traffic.Food is just "okay". It reminded me of places that are trying to be Mexican but have chefs who are not. Chips are so-so and they have this really stupid policy of an upcharge for mild salsa. Three of four at our table thought the hot sauce was too hot so we had no choice here. My plate had the food thrown on it and then the fajita meat skillet stacked over the top of my food. This made some of my food unaccessible unless I removed the super-hot sizzling skillet. Not sure why they don't separate the meat skillet from the veggies, sour cream and guacamole. Overall the food is unremarkable. Only 2 of 4 finished their meals. My mahi, which was the daily special, was very dry. No refried beans, instead brown beans which don't go well in a fajita. Only three shells with no ask if I wanted more. The onions and green peppers were on the grill too long (which is probably why the fish was dry). No one came to ask how our food was during the prime period of eating.They were busy so we had to wait for a table to be cleared, about ten minutes at 6:45 on a Sunday night. Lot of boaters come in after a day on the water so the dress style reflects very casual.Good size parking lot. Cute fountain by the building. Great decorations inside. Very festive, which besides the lake view was the only other highlight.Service is not very good. My water sat on the outside of the table for almost ten minutes before someone came to refill and he just handed us the pitcher. They brought out one entree well before the other three.I wouldn't be excited to go back here...

We arrived at around 4pm and were greeted immediately. The server approached our table very quickly and was attentive the entire time. Our food arrived very quickly as well. In total there were 3 meals and two margaritas ordered and it was about $75 total (w/o tip). We had a birthday and they sang and gave the birthday girl a hat and free dessert which was really nice. My chimichanga was delicious but you have to ask for the queso to be put on top, it doesnt come with it. The rice and beans were meh. Not pictured was a steak chimichanga w/o queso and steak fajitas. Both were good.Not too many people there when we arrived but it slowly started getting full throughout our dinner. The atmosphere and theme were really fun. Very colorful all around and there was inside and outside seating available and bars for both options. Even though the tables were quite spaced from each other, you can hear other people's forks clanking and conversations if there's enough people around.

Didn't know where it was at first little hard to find no advertisement on the main drag even though it is off of route 27 behind the gas station but food was excellent atmosphere was good. The service was outstanding. I don't think we waited 15 minutes for all the food to be delivered to us And the price was very very reasonable.

Great find in Sebring while I was in town for work. Very clean and nice place...exterior and interior. Sat at the bar and had great service from Belinda. Burritos were top notch and reasonably priced. The whiskey selection is LEGIT. Blantons, Eagle Rare, Col. Taylor. Wow. Didn't expect that at a Mexican restaurant in Sebring Florida. Next time I'm in Sebring, I'll be eating here.

Service was great. Over priced had super nacho greasy and watery chips were soaked and not flavorful. Definitely not worth it. Salsa was good. Won't be back.

Nice Mexican place! Food is good to excellent, and service was super fast and attentive. Nice view of the lake, and a big outdoor patio and bar, for days when it's not too hot.Clean and well run. We stop here frequently when driving across the state. Even has a boat dock!Recommended.

Food is excellent staff are really friendly would definitely recommend . I had the chicken fajitas and my wife had chicken tostadas
