Dollar General Market

I was looking for "Walmart Neighborhood Markets" and stumbled upon this gem... I didn't even KNOW that Dollar General Markets were a thing?! It's honestly pretty cool if you ask me. We go to Dollar General to pick up things quickly (instead of having to run into a super center or grocery store,) so this concept makes it a lot easier to grab more things you may need without the hassle of a larger grocery store. They honestly have everything- from fresh meats and produce to canned and shelf stable foods, deli meats and cheeses... And even an international aisle! Granted, it's small, but it definitely lives up to its purpose. The aisles are wider in the normal section of the store, and it's surprisingly kept up very well. I was even stoked to find the new Milo's EXTRA sweet tea- and it was amazing! I'll definitely be back, (even if it's just for the tea!)

Doesn't have everythinggggg you need but pretty close to it and at great prices! I will check here and then head to another grocery store for more specific items I didn't find. Employees have always been so friendly and helpful every time I've gone in. They have food alcohol laundry home goods and so much more. It is easy to maneuver and is always organized.

I've never really noticed a store being organized before but this location made me realize it!! Everything is sooo organized and the staff are all so kind! They carry a diverse amount of household items as well as foods and drinks. They also offer great alcohol deals.

I like the smaller store. For when you just need a few things. The only thing is they never have more than one cashier. It takes forever to get out of the store

A Review update: Had to bump this down a star. The last year they have considerably cut down on their cashier staff. Through the week, there is usually only the express line open. If you are only going to leave one lane open, it's unusual to choose the one with the small, standing counter without a turning belt or more room. This slows down the process considerably, and the line is almost always long. It's not the convenient stop it once was - expect at least 10-25 minute check-out wait. One would think they'd at least have more cashiers available on weekends, but for the most part there is two with lengthy lines and the same wait time. Disappointing.

needed to use restroom, cashier tells me restroom is broken. a person in store said they were not. so cashier is liar!

This Dollar General Market is at the southernmost edge of Lakeland on 37 . It is a good sized grocery store and Dollar General "blend". Shoppers with a keen eye on price will benefit from the products in here, from the great produce to the Clover Valley generic brand. One entire wall is refrigerator-freezer items. Many prices beat WalMart. You can occasionaly get $5 off coupons on $30 purchases. Sample prices included oranges at 50c a pound, large heads lettuce $1, frozen TV dinners $1, frozen burritos 8 for $3. Harvests Own Bread (50 calories) $1. They sometimes have half off deals on cleaning supplies or housewares. This store is kept relatively clean, carts are a cheer fluorescent green.I'd give it four stars but the parking lot is a little scary for loiterers (and potholes). Shopping here beats Aldi's or Save-a-Lot in quality and variety.

I love this store. They have great deals on food and everybody is always so nice. A great grocery store in a Land of overpriced box stores.
