This was a cute little spot. I went for their happy hour. It was from 2-6When we arrived, it was around 5 p.m., and the parking lot was pretty empty. But by the time we left, it was full. So, the happy hour menu had a few great options and reasonable prices. I had the wings, and my friend had the burger The bartenders were so friendly, and the service was AMAZING.

Overall **** Technically 3.75 Weighted Stars which pushes it to 4. I don't get much of District South, the menu seems to lean southern but the music is non-stop Jamaican. This leads to a confusing concept IMO. The food is great but the pricing structure is insane to me and it would stop me from returning.Setting *** The space is really small but very attractive with faux tin ceilings, lots of wood and very clean. The bar is wall facing and may seat 10-15 people. There are possibly only dining room seats for another 30 guests. There is outdoor seating but you are facing the parking lot and an incredibly busy road so don't expect a peaceful setting.Parking is very tight however after 5pm and on the weekends you can park at the business across the street.Service *** our service was friendly, attentive and made recommendations with ease but on a a relatively slow early Sunday evening the drink service was slow.Food **** The food was fantastic. We started with the cucumber appetizer which was delicious and refreshing.I opted for the fish special which was "Triple Tail" which described as white, flaky and very flavorful. I had never heard of this fish before but it really did live up to its deValue ** I am torn on this. The menu prices are generally reasonable it is the drink prices that are outrageous. A double top shelf Gin & Tonic was $22! Nowhere in Tampa have I ever paid that much for a drink, nowhere! I used to live in NYC and I never paid that much. For two people, one app, two entree and four drinks each was $190!!!!

I've only experienced their take out and it was honestly some of the best delivered meals I've had, so I can only imagine how much better it would be served straight from the kitchen. My beet salad was outstanding, the macaroni and cheese was so rich and delicious, and the burgers were surprisingly really good.Can't wait to dine in the restaurant one day soon.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere had a fantastic vibe, and everything on the menu is made from scratch. They offered a variety of specials, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch.

We had a satisfying brunch experience at District South! The food was delicious and packed with flavor--everyone at the table was raving about their choices. I had the quiche of the day, which was perfectly cooked and paired with a refreshing arugula salad, it was light, yet fulfilling. Our server, Zoe, was on point--attentive, friendly, and gave some excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy yet lively, making it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. We'll definitely be back for more!!

Such a cute little place to hang and enjoy the food and drinks. We visited this place on a late Sunday evening so it was not very busy. The staff quickly seated us and got our order. She was nice and helpful with order recommendations. We got a coconut grouper and steak and frite. The steak was decent. Sweet potato fries was good even tho its an upcharge of $4 without us being notified. The coconut grouper bites was mid. The coating was too thick and not crunchy. Overall, we had a nice and quick meal.

Ugh I hate doing this but honestly my group felt so awkward with the way we left I just want others with larger groups to be aware. Our group of 6 showed up around 12 for brunch. We did not have a reservation so I completely would have understood waiting 15-20min for them to put tables together and get a waitress. However, the girl at the hostess station looked clueless. Like she had never sat a table larger than 2 and then told us it would be an hour wait??? AN HOUR??? They were not busy. With that, there were 2 tables that sat 4 each open, we could have sat separate at and then one bigger table around the corner open. Obviously I don't know what their reservation list looked like but she didn't even check those who were almost done, nothing. So I'm not giving my business to a location that makes no effort to take us and tells me an hour. I took the hint, and then we left.

We discovered this gem while searching for the best brunch in Tampa, and the 30-minute drive was absolutely worth it! From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations. The menu was full of creative and delicious options. The Jameson pretzel was perfectly soft with the ideal balance of crust, while the charred shishito peppers with cilantro dipping sauce were simply amazing. The lightly fried okra stalks paired with aioli were a game-changer! We also shared the grilled chicken club and the holiday bread pudding, both of which were divine. Huge kudos to the genius behind this culinary artistry!

Make a reservation!!Great vibe for date night. Food was amazing, don't skip the bread basket.

Great food. We walked in with a party of 8 and they were very accommodating. Menu is awesome. Highly recommend the grouper bites. Ended up ordering 2 more orders for the table. Whoever was bartending made a perfect espresso martini. Highly recommend this place, definitely coming back again. 10/10 PS: they put the Florida basketball game on for us right away. Much appreciated!
