Dickies BBQ

When I used to travel on biz to Dallas, TX, I'd always have lunch at the Dickies BBQ in Coppell, TX (very close to DFW airport). That Dickies was one of the first and, I believe, set the standard for their style of BBQ. I'm aware that not every Dickies restaurant meets that high standard (I'm thinking of you, Dickies restaurant up there in South Carolina).Yesterday I decided to try the Dickies located on Bruce B Downes in Wesley Chapel, just north of SR56. Wow! These fine folks work hard to offer a stellar BBQ experience, in food flavor and quality as well as a friendly customer experience. They meet the standard set at the restaurant near DFW and I'm thrilled about that!Give this location a try if you've had a bad experience with previous management. You'll be impressed, I bet!

totally incompetent. food arrived 1 1/2 hours late for our banquet and they forgot our drinks. still charged full price

Erica's personality and awesome customer service surpassed my expectation. She was bubbly and energetic and complimented my top/bathing suit. We felt welcome and spoke about our experience at the lagoon near by, as we were just leaving the lagoon and felt like eating bbq. We had two orders of two meat option (brisket, brisket burnt ends, chicken and pulled pork) with some delicious sides; potato salad, fried okra, mac n cheese,and bbq baked beans. Definitely going back.

The food had great taste ...... but,(Dined in) Food was cold. I brought it back for heating up, after 4 mins, still cold.1. Food Cold, steam cooker not working2. Correct bun not available for the Westerner3. Sign on door states Carmel Brownie with Anniversary Meal Deal - no brownies available, only cookies and rice crispy treats4. Had to return sandwich to receive cheddar cheese as advertised 5. Iced tea at filling station has no lids, open to the public6. Slicing table not cleaned between customers (greater than 15 minutes, plus)7. No ice milk as in the past8. No hot bbq sauce as in the past

The food was good, but the company is not honest. I purchased their gift card offer where if you buy a $25 card they would give you a $5 card to use. Well, I got the $5 card and it is no good. I contacted the company and the representative said he would call me back and that they have had other problems similar. No call back, so I write to them on their website. They said they would send a $10 gift card. Never came, so I contact the company again and they are not responding. Yes, it's only a $5 card, but they are not honest and do not follow through with their promises. Not a very trustworthy company. I can find other BBQ places to eat, will not support dishonesty.

I've been going to Dickies since it opened here in Wesley Chapel. The restaurant has been going downhill for some time now. Today will be THE LAST time I eat there. Their signature brisket bar-b-cue was disgusting. Aside from the fact that they weigh every molecule of meat they put on your plate (which just annoys me), the brisket was like shoe leather! I'm not one to complain AT a restaurant so I just didn't eat my lunch and left. The clerk left and went outside to talk on the phone while there were customers in line waiting to pay (and yes, you have to pay before you eat)!This place won't last long here!

Food was good, guys behind the counter were nice. Price for what you get is on the high side. And the main reason I am dinging them a couple of stars is that the entire restaurant needs a serious cleaning. I was a little worried about touching anything in the place. My shoes were slippery from the greasy floor when we left. Who ever is running the show needs a lesson in how to clean a restaurant, and then teach the employees how to do it .....every day.

I thought this was wonderful. Pulled pork sandwich, cabbage slaw and fried onions. Will return. Only problem is getting a menu on line without ordering.

Came across this new location of Dickeys BBQ. Just opened a few days ago. Love me some Dickey's BBQ. Clean location. Food is always great. Service is excellent. Close to a lot of things. Glad they opened a new one
