Deli Plus Grocery

Another cool place that Boon was keeping secret from the Yelp community.This small and somewhat cramped grocery and convenince store has some good Latin American produce and grocery items (cheese, sodas, snacks, cookies) as well as a pretty impressive prepared food area with chicken, beef, several fish, malanga (some sort of yuca like tuber taro entity), mondongo, beans, rice and more. It's all flavorful and somehqat unhealthy (greasy) in the delicious Latin way that goes well with rice and beans. Pretty reasonable.. $4.99 for chicken combo, $7.99 for fish, $8.99 if you're fancy and go for salmon. They also have some pastel Mexican type bakery items. It gets bust and isn't a fancy place. Caribbean Crown, Kreyol Delight, Petra (also Petra across the street so don't get confused) and Caribbean Crown (my fav) all in same strip plaza so you can really live large. And by large I mean you're getting fat. Hit the gym.

Went today to grab a bite to eat. While next up to order I asked for white rice as there was none on the line. Looked as though the cook first refused to make it to bring it to the line, and then decided to make it. Next, another customer walked in and the rice was now on the line, the servers basically bypassed me and my boyfriend to which we spoke up. They started with my order however bypassed my boyfriend to take the order of the next customer. He informed that he was in front of the guy but they still didn't assist him. We are not Spanish and we got incorrect customer service due to this. Another customer spoke Spanish and joined in an all out Spanish convo with another customer and server about me. When my boyfriend informed he knew they were talking mess they all shut up. Wont visit again I love Spanish food. When we got to the register my boyfriend informed the two people standing there of the bad service and nothing was done to correct it, they just smiled it off.

Good ass Cubans and steaks, amazingly priced, and excellent customer service. Had the chupacabra with no jalapeños, absolutely amazing, my brother loved the turkey Cuban . And my friend also loved it too. Fucks with that place heavy.

I came across this grocery market when I wanted to quickly grab some ingredients for dinner. The first thing you will notice as soon as you walk in the door is how cramped it is. The place is big, but they try to stick so many different aisles in the small store. In the very back is the deli. I haven't actually tried any of the food, but I saw a lot of people checking out with some, so it must be good. Overall, as a grocery market, I would say the selections aren't bad. The items are more hispanic-based, but if you're looking for very specific items, I would try your luck at a bigger grocery store. The prices are fairly general too. Nothing too pricey, or inexpensive. However, they do seem to have some homemade hispanic desserts, such as flan or rice pudding. It would be interesting to try out. Overall, I might be coming back to try the food but for this visit, I didn't have much luck finding the ingredients I wanted.

Every single person in this grocery store has an attitude problem. The workers behind the counter made my Cuban sandwich wrong. I told them 3 times NO MAYO, NO MUSTARD. I get home to a soggy cuban, slathered with heavy mayo. I immediately returned to the store and told the man at the register that my sandwich was made wrong. He simply looks at me and says "did you tell them in the back?" I said No, ... im not sure of your policies in here but I paid for this sandwich up at the checkout counter with you, not in the back where they made it. It took another 15 minutes before I got my second sandwich. I will NEEVVVVVVVVEEERRRR GIVE THIS STORE MY BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE. The workers are rude and if you're not Spanish the service is TRASH.

I hate to give bad reviews but I have to warn people from getting as sick as I did from eating here. A couple of weeks ago I bought lunch, a couple of hours later my stomach was hurting bad that I thought I had to leave work but I managed.I was not sure if it was from the my lunch so I did not think about it much as I felt better the next morning.Yesterday, I went back for lunch......this time it felt like a bomb hit my stomach, super sick I then realize my feeling sick a couple of hours after lunch was directly related to eating at this restaurant.I am just saying, I hope they will watch what they are serving because one of these days they will cause some serious harm. I will not ever eat there again because I have never felt like I would not make it to the bathroom before in my life. Be safe

Service was great , food was delicious, employees were very kind & prices are reasonable. I totally recommend this place !!!

Great breakfast sandwiches but the customer service from the ladies in the cooking area suck. I called ahead of time to place an order, I was told 15 minutes, I gave them 20, I showed up and my order was not ready. The girl said they were busy with an attitude and that it will be another 10 more minutes. I was a bit upset cause I didn't had 10 more minutes to wait, if that was the case she should of said 30 minutes instead of 15 and I would just went to another Deli like I end up doing. So i hope in the near future they just give a good estimated time instead of wasting customers time.
