This friendly place will make you feel welcomed and you will love thier BBQ. If you're looking for some good grubbin BBQ, come try Dee's Family in Riverview. They take pride in making thier food from scratch. Located right of 301 hwy. They also do catering services too for any events.What I had:1) Brisket and Ribs- Phenomenal 2) Smoked Oaxtail- Good Bite to sink into 3) Sides- every sides they served combined well with the BBQ4) Sweet Tea- Refreshing 5) Peach Cobbler or Pecan- a dessert you don't want miss tasting.

I used to frequent the previous BBQ restaurant that was in this spot so decided to try the new restaurant out. This is a family owned business and the owners were very nice. The restaurant has a clean look with pictures of the food on the wall. All of the food is cooked fresh daily. I was impressed by the menu options and definitely want to try everything on the menu.I ordered the brisket which was delicious. The meat had a nice flavor and was tender. They have 3 barbecue sauce options: Sweet Chili, Jerk Barbecue and Carolina Gold. I loved the Carolina Gold on my brisket. The green beans were also fresh with a good flavor and the truffle Mac and cheese was delicious. The prices were fair.I definitely will be back to try some other items and recommend this restaurant.

This is another place I stopped in on a whim while driving by. This used to be trust me bbq and is now Dee's BBQ. I like the new colors of the building and the place is well staffed with people ready to take your order. Or so I thought????? After walking in I was the only customer inside and was immediately greeted by 4 staff members that said welcome in, is this your first time? After having glanced at the menu on the counter. I didn't see a 3 meat combo or sampler that you'd normally find on any bbq establishments menu. I asked if they have a combo option. Surprisingly only one staff member decides the pricing and while she was beginning to speak with another walk in, my rep suggested the pulled jerk chicken or their special of the day burnt ends and provided samples. The pulled chicken tasted like a recipe from my crockpot and the burnt ends weren't burnt at all. It was more like sub par cubed chuck roast that has simmered in a crock pot and served a day later. Although the samples were disappointing, I was willing to support the new company and still wanted to order the combo option. The employee with knowledge of the pricing was still engaged in a conversation with a walk that came after me. It appears that she is the only one with access to the register as she continued to block other employees from using it. I found this to be counterproductive as I was the first and only customer in their store initially and STILL waiting on pricing. With so many staff members, I was confused why the cashier is blocking sales rather than processing them and increasing wait times with now only 3 patrons inside. Un-willing to wait any longer, I left without receiving pricing and hungry without food. I would like to see a combo option on the menu to avoid delays in the future. I think it's better when all employees have knowledge of pricing to provide the most efficient level of service. All in all, there isn't anything specific that sets them apart or cannot be DUPLICATED in my own crockpot at home. The samples did not SCREAM recipes from a BBQ company but rather just reminded me of basic homestyle cooking instead.

In my continued search for good BBQ in the area I came across this great place right on 301 in Riverview. Be warned that the Google Maps directions take you to the wrong location. It's right at the river so keep looking if you miss it. First the folks working there are great. The mom daughter team were nice and pleasant and went over everything on the menu. I got the ribs and the brisket with beans, rice, coleslaw and potato salad. The meats are delicious. The brisket is juicy and well seasoned. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and so good. Each of the sides is very good and full of flavor. This is a must try again

The customer service is excellent, and the food is fresh and delicious. They have different types of sauce.

I was pleasantly surprised that one of my favorite barbecue joints (Trust Me) was recently changed to Dee's Family BBQ. I was wearing a NY Yankees Bronx Bombers tee which instantly started a conversation with these transplanted New Yorkers. We hit it off immediately, but it was the food which caused me to salivate.I ordered the family meal which included ribs, pulled pork (pernil), brisket (my favorite), rice and peas (arroz con gandules) as well as mac & cheese. I did not get chicken, but it's available also. The portions were enough to feed my family twice. The meats were seasoned perfectly and tasted great!The owners were very professional and very welcoming. It may be a small restaurant, but definitely worth stopping at or ordering from. Take a chance on them - you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return and send friends and family.

Fairly new BBQ spot that popped up not too far away. The location is easily accessible. Nice parking right off of 301. Y'all know me. I love my bbq so naturally it was a matter of time until I stopped by. Now first and foremost the nice lady at the counter was very very helpful and nice and professional. I always gravitate towards baked chicken when trying a new spot. Unfortunately they did not have this as a menu item so I just went with the bbq chicken legs. Now the chicken wasn't too bad at all. Cooked nice and had the right amount of sauce on them. I ordered the rice and beans and Mac n cheese. The rice was decent. Nothing to really say. But the Mac n cheese was def not it, if you're a Big Mac n cheese fan you will not like these. Usually at any bbq spot they'll have some collard greens or some green beans for sides so I was very surprised to see they did not. I'd say the food is about a 6.5/10 but the service was a solid 9/10. Pics below. As per usual.

This is one of the best places in Riverview. I have been a customer for about as long as they have been in business. It is amazing how they see you and remember you by first name. I cannot say how it makes you feel like you are an appreciated customer. Now for the food. Every time I have gotten the Ribs and Brisket has been nice and tender with an excellent flavor even without the BBQ sauce. I am trying the chicken for the first time and looking forward to it. The place is so good that if you are not early, they run out of Racks of Ribs and other meats fairly quickly. So, get there earlier in the day and get the best of the best in my opinion. I have loved everything I have gotten from them.

Excellent bbq! The brisket sandwich is a great deal. The smoked chicken quarters were extremely flavorful. The pork is more of a Spanish style pulled pork instead of a traditional bbq style, but very good flavor and tenderness. The baked beans have red bell pepper which adds great flavor. Also have had the green beans, which are more of my wives style as they are crispy with garlic added. Just tried the burnt ends last week, I'll be coming back for those as much as possible. I'll try to add pictures if I can get remember to get them!Also have great and friendly service. Will be back to support this new local business!
