Davis Islands Garden Club

Stopped by to check out the space where we got married 7 years ago. The garden club is still in incredible shape. Absolutely beautiful view of Tampa bay, lush plantings, beautiful patio with booth style seating all the way along the perimeter. They have a white gazebo we used for our ceremony that is in off center of the garden overlooking the bay. They have a small building with bathrooms, prep kitchen and area for seating. We opted to have everything outside but had the inside building available for those that wanted to escape the heat. It was so fun coming back sharing this special space with our kids and reliving the most magical memories.

Our friends booked thier wedding here and while the price may have been right...the terms were stressful for a bride and groom JUST married. We had to make sure trash was all tied up, we put it in the dumpster, all chairs and tables put up, basically make sure the place was cleaned up. Let me tell you something; being married for close to 20 years, having ALL that burden AFTER your wedding & reception is A LOT. Come on y'all. The venue was pretty. We had a nice evening. But y'all need to seriously consider a newlywed couple and all you expect them to do.

Very pretty venue. It's small but perfect for small groups. Service was good and the garden is nice overlook off the water

Went to a family wedding held here in this Garden Club and well... at first we couldn't figure out how to get in because there was substantial construction where they were blocking the transit right in so we were driving around trying to find an alternate route. Being that it's literally an island, there are very limited ways to get around that hefty construction site. Parking was confusing to get to also. BUT, once inside, the place is MAGICAL! Beautiful view of the bay, and downtown Tampa. Carefully manicured garden areas, complete with games in separate stations for the guests to enjoy. I'm not certain if the catering was included but if it was, well it was GRAND! They have a full kitchen area that has a window to be approached as if it were a bar. Perfect with a large group of guests to line up to. All in all the place is just beautiful and great for intimate as much as large events. Kudos!

We attended a wedding here in early November, and enjoyed this tranquil setting near Downtown Tampa, overlooking Seddon Channel & Harbour Island. The outdoor gardens were lovely and peaceful, complete with a picturesque gazebo. While not a large event space, the building can accommodate at least 100 guests, with 10 large round tables, a long wedding table, small dance floor and large dinner buffet. Behind the building, adjacent to the lawn & gardens, was a large covered patio. Bathrooms were large, clean, & well-stocked. Street parking is free, but not plentiful, as much of it is in-use by the surrounding neighborhood & adjoining public spaces, and on-site parking is very limited. Yet, in spite of being in a busy downtown neighborhood, the waterfront grounds are serene, and this is an ideal venue for intimate events.

I attended a wedding here. It is a small but nice facility on Davis Island just behind Tampa General Hospital. Have to know where you're going in order to find it. There is a waterfront outdoor grass area with a gazebo that faces the channel and Harbour Island - perfect for an outdoor wedding. Also there is an outdoor area with perimeter seating that is covered and ideal for a cocktail/reception party. The main ballroom can accommodate 80 to 100 people.

Beautiful place for a special event!The Davis Island Garden club is a very clean and spacious event hall that can easily accommodate those who are looking for a nice venue for a special event that can easily hold about 200-250 people comfortably. In the back of the club house, there is a beautiful white garden gazebo from which you can enjoy the fantastic views of harbor island in the backdrop. They also have a cool metallic butterfly chair which adds to the touch of the outside garden club. Very well maintained grounds - kudos to the staff!

Attended a friend's wedding here! Great venue for about 100 guests. Covered patio worked well for cocktail hour and we could venture down to the water for fresh air. Restrooms were pleasant and the main room had nice lighting for the reception. It was quiet and we felt we weren't near the hustle and bustle of the city, making for an intimate wedding.

Attended a wedding on the grounds here. Well-maintained with a beautiful view and sufficient facilities (albeit small restrooms).

Very nice venue with a beautiful outdoor area/view. However, communication with the event resource (there is only one) is very, very difficult. I heard this from everyone in our wedding planning/setup team. Many times no response at all or failed to show up to unlock doors for scheduled onsite meetings.
