Dan's Clam Stand

Great quality very fresh seafood. Portions of most teams are large and everything is very delicately fried. The only downside is that the owners are probably from somewhere like Pennsylvania because there isn't the first grain of seasoning of any sort anywhere in the place. Not even salt. That said, albeit bland as hell, it's really good and is a great way to finish off a day of manatees in Crystal River before heading out of town as nobody around Orlando or the rest of central florida can fry seafood like these guys. We particularly liked the fried scallops and wished we had ordered more. If these guys ever invest in a can of Tony Chachere's for their kitchen, that 4-star review would jump to a solid 5 stars!

We have always had a great experience here and yesterday was no different! We came in with a large group and they knocked it out of the park as usual, quick service and hot fresh food served promptly! Love the servers here and the food as well...I ordered Onion Rings and had plenty to share and a special platter with Fresh Clams and the Colossial Fried Shrimp Tempura style with Rice and Slaw...truly delicious....the owner is a great guy and does a lot to support the community as well..we will be back very soon!!

We stopped by again for some good chowder and seafood. Service is always friendly. Restaurant is casual and old Florida. My fresh clams fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly.

Servers are great. Food is right on the button. We always take home a 1/2 gallon of clam chowder. Surprisingly good hamburgers. You can't miss with the fried clam strips. We love to sit outside to eat with our dogs. Not super fancy but the fish tank is interesting

First time I ever tried alagator was from here and it was awesome. I really like their blackenef fish as well. Great staff and warm feelingvof friendliness.

Stopped in to grab some food to-go. Ordered steamed clams and grouper tacos. Waitress was very friendly and efficient, wrapped clams in plastic wrap to prevent spillage. Put all utensils and cold items in separate bag. Food was well cooked and delicious. Restaurant itself is a simple place, nothing fancy but offers great food and service

We were looking for a new spot for Valentines Day and decided on Dan's! Boy were we glad we did! We were told to pick a sit immediately upon walking in and a server arrived within seconds, when it was packed!!!!We ordered the Cedar Key clams as our appetizer. They were full of flavor, as was the wine/garlic/butter sauce on them!!! I opted for a side salad and a bowl of clam chowder. The salad was fresh and a nice size! The chowder was full of chopped clams and really good!!!! Hubby had the Philly sandwich. It was packed full of ingredients!!! He really enjoyed it, also! It's a cute little restaurant within a short drive of downtown Crystal River! We'll definitely be back soon!

Love this little seafood place, food is consistent and the service is great for how busy they always are. Seafood is fresh and the oysters are good. My new found favorite is the Cioppino!

Real New England clam chowder. Buttery, not too thick, clams tender. The best! Better than I've had up in New England. Whole belly clams, fried haddock and onion rings. The tender flakey batter I remember from growing up in the cape! You won't be disappointed.

I stopped in one day for a quick lunch and really enjoyed it. They have a wonderful big aquarium in there to enjoy as well. Excellent shrimp and excellent service!
