Dallas Bull

Came to Tampa for an interview a few months back. Being the avid line dancer that I am, I needed to know there was a good spot down here. It's safe to say I was more than reassured there was a new line dancing home in my future after visiting the Dallas Bull. Lessons start at 7:30pm on Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Saturday nights. The instructor is AWESOME! He can teach an advanced dance with ease, but also can have a first timer boot scootin' and boogin' in no time!Be careful coming on Saturday night. It is not for weak livers. Saturday 'Sink or Swim' night includes free drinks after paying your cover ($10-$15). If you start sinkin, the bouncers will get you out ASAP. The locals call me Michael Phelps...because all I do is swim swim swim no matter what (I'm sorry). 9.5/10 - Have already been back 4 times in 6 weeks, and foresee many more nights kickin the dust up.

I was really wanting to love this country bar because I'm from TX. On Saturday nights for 20 dollars you get unlimited drinks (well) and Busch light for beer. The 20 dollars also covers your entry fee.It is a VERY young crowd.18-21 year olds are 85% of the crowd.It's a very large area, with 2 stories and top 40 is played on the second floor, and country is played on the first.They have wayyyyy too many rules and restrictions.You can't bring your drinks on the dance floor (do what?!), security is constantly LOOKING for problems, if you go outside to smoke a cig, you can't bring your drink with you and you'll be told off by all the security guards in not knowing the rulesIf you want people to enjoy themselves, maybe you should put out more signs, or explaining that to first timers when they're paying their entrance fees.I've never even seen half of these "line dances" done in Houston, so maybe Florida creates their own line dances? All in all, won't be going back, but it was a decent time.

I like a good honky tonk, I LOVE this one. I went for a concert, which I was already excited about but the building and staff are what made this such a pleasant experience. I have never been in a bar/concert where the floors are SO CLEAN it was awesome. The entire place in general felt clean. Good amount of security placed around the building, checking in with tickets was an easy experience, bartenders were super quick and efficient, all staff were kind. A man got sick near us and staff cleaned it up immediately which was great to not have to keep thinking about lol. Sold out show but we got in and out with minimal waiting. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great vibes all around!

Although I'm not a country fan, I went to Dallas Bull with my sister who was visiting. Honestly, I was dreading it. But I ended up being very impressed with this place. Super clean, not obnoxiously crowded (which I thought it would be). Good drinks and...even though I'm not a country music fan...good music. I enjoyed it!

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. I literally never write reviews but my friends and I came for ladies night, had to wait at the bar for 20 minutes because they had one bartender. Then, when my friend went back to go get another beer and handed it to her boyfriend, the bouncers immediately kicked him out with no reasoning. I don't know why they wouldn't tell him she couldn't use her drink card for him, it doesn't say that anywhere. Not on a sign, not on the card, not anywhere. For $10, they sure are acting like the FBI. Also, the bouncer at the door did find my friends joke about feet pics funny because he checked the inside of our boots?? Also, they made us wait outside in line for at least 30 minutes. 0/10

I have never been more disgusted with an establishment's behavior like I was with this one. I did not have a single drink throughout the night and experienced an aggressive encounter with security. This included my girlfriend (who was also sober) having a male security guard get in her face and call her slurs and every offensive name under the sun because she asked if she could go get her CAR KEYS that she dropped by mistake within the bar after they kicked us out (which they had no valid reason to kick us out in the first place). I have honestly never seen a man talk to a woman the way this security person did to my friend. They ended up calling the cops on my friend because she stood outside trying to reason with security to get her car keys back for "trespassing". My biggest regret is spending a single dime at this establishment. If I could give this place a 0 stars, I would! Don't come here unless you want your night ruined by a security team that's on a huge power trip.

Staff is unbelievably unprofessional and extremely aggressively rude! Give your security guards training so they don't have to bully the customers! I will never go again!

The service was racists and did not let certain people in. The service was slow and selective. Most of the "security" was selective to who they thought was right and not the truth. I am extremely ungrateful and disappointed with your service and will never be back to this astonishment. Hearing from excursive resources it will be raided/ undercovers coming soon.

worst people here. the owner and managers were horrible. we were all 21 and got kicked out for literally dancing to the wobble. come at your own risk the entire bar and management sucks

Awesome atmosphere with bars in each corner and a center dance floor. They have a bull to take pictures on and great drinks to enjoy. The music was on point and the line dancing was so much fun. The workers were super nice, inviting and helpful.
