Da Sesto Italiano Ristorante E Vino is my go to restaurant for expensive Italian food. Sesto specializes in the Marche region of Italy. All of his cuisine features large portions and incredible sauces. Took my 89 year old mother and my son here for a meal and everyone was pleased. Ordered grey goose dirty vodka martinis with Gorgonzola stuffed olives. Verrry smoooth... first time I tried Gorgonzola stuffed olives. Had to get more of 'em ($2 for 4 extra olives. Worth every penny). The service at Da Sesto is also worth mentioning. Jacquelyn was totally on point: Knew the specials, all the sauces, and was quick with extra Gorgonzola stuffed olives, lemon wedges, and napkins. Just like in previous visits, any leftovers that could leak were wrapped up well in plastic wrap after being deftly packaged in to go containers. With service going generally downhill in the restaurant industry it is gratifying to see there are some restaurants who still know how to cater to their customers. Da Sesto still rewards a Yelp check in with 2 mini cannoli for desert.

Now, I'm not the aficionado on what's authentic Italian or not. That's definitely not my strong suit. I struggle reading the menu however I can tell you the food. Here is outstanding. My wife had the braised beef ravioli and I had the seafood cannelloni, which was a special. Both were outstanding! We also enjoyed an olive medley that was pretty salty. As for the atmosphere, they're going for kind of a mobster dive type vibe and it could be anything from T-shirt and jeans to what my wife and I were dressed nice celebrating my wife's birthday so definitely kind of a come as you are or how you want the evening to betype place. The only issue we really had was some loud talking guy who was cussing up a storm during casual conversation and ended up talking about dogs, licking each other. Seriously guy, etiquette let's go. I don't get me wrong. This isn't a quiet place. Casual conversation and bursts of laughter happened frequently. This was a different situation, however. I would definitely recommend this place as a date night or just looking for good Italian food.

We've been hearing about Da Sesto's for awhile and decided to give a try to celebrate a friend who was turning 87. After going, I was debating what kind of review to give, so I'll just give facts. We had a reservation for 6:45 and arrived about 5 minutes prior. We were told we had to wait a bit even though there were 4, four tops open. While we stood there, other folks came in and were seated right away and we had to wait 20 minutes till we were seated. If it was just me, I would have left but it was our friends birthday and she was excited to be there. Finally seated and it seemed like everything took a very long time. A long time to get our drinks, a long time to order, a long time to get bread and salads. Long time for just about everything. When the entrees finally came, after being there an hour and a half, they looked great. I had ordered the Pappardelle Mamma and it was salty to the point of really spoiling a great dish. One of the two older ladies we were with, ordered a carbonara, which came out very dry, very salty. Not like a carbonara at all. Our friend, whose birthday it was got the shrimp in lemon sauce and was enjoying it, so I kept quiet not to spoil the evening. By the time we got our check, we had been there 2 and 1/2 hours. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I think it might have been just an off night for the place, considering all the other great reviews but I've been to many incredible reviewed restaurants in the states and in many other countries but not had this experience. I could tell my dish would have been fantastic if not for the salt issue but the extended waits for everything can't be ignored. It seemed like it could have been avoided or resolved pretty easy but that didn't happen. That said...I'm not sure I want to go back...

Stopped by for dessert without a reservation. They were busy but kind enough to seat & serve us. The owner/chef even came by to speak with us. Lovely ambience. Excellent canoli martini!

The food here is always delicious, though a bit pricey. The birthday dessert is a cannoli, which is also incredible. The service was great too and the ambiance is nice, though a bit dark. I highly recommend this place for a nicer dinner, just keep in mind the price.

Found this gem searching Yelp. It's not a very large location but they have made efficient use of the space to accommodate as many patrons as possible. Let's get to the best part..... the food! I couldn't decide between 4 different dishes. My waitress, Dee, helped me with the decision (she was great!). I had the Pappardelle Aragosta e Gamberoni. The pasta was fresh and delicious. However, the sauce was the main attraction of this dish. I enjoyed every bite. For dessert, I had the Tiramisu Al Limoncello. Another hit! I highly recommend this place.

A delightful and well executed Italian meal but did have some minor room for improvement. It's a small restaurant, nicely decorated and with a romantic vibe but it didn't feel too cramped which was a definite plus. Creepy statue of Don Corleone at the front will probably haunt my dreams tonight. Saturdays they have live music by a talented gentleman doing lounge-style songs. He wasn't too loud but I wasn't keen on being seated right in front of the stage, and on a busy Saturday night you don't have much say in where you are seated. We started with the appetizer on special which was gnocchi Asiago fried and served in a tomato sauce with fried bits of guanciale. This dish was perfect in every way from the texture to the marriage of flavors. It was like elevated mozzarella sticks and I would eat that as a meal. Bread was nothing special but it was hot, fresh and crusty outside while chewy inside and exactly what you'd expect. The pesto that comes with it is knock out delicious, can't speak for the sun dried tomato one as I am not a fan of SDTs. Salads were good but when you have fresh bread why are you ruining a Caesar with commercially produced, zero flavor croutons? I know you have leftover bread, house made croutons would be a great use of it. There was an unusually long wait for our entrees. Our waitress apologized twice and said they were coming. Thankfully when they did they were fresh and hot. The Gorgonzola gnocchi was delicious from the tender gnocchi to the well balanced sauce. My only suggestion would be a pop of green - peas, spinach, or heck even some parsley to give a bit of color to an otherwise white plate. The papperdelle mama angela was cooked perfectly and had a nice scattering of mushrooms, sausage, and ham - capers were few and far between but when I did find one it was a delightful pop of acid. While the flavors were great I think a different noodle would have been better here as the sauce didn't really cling to the papperdelle. All in all, a great value for quality meals and nice atmosphere.

Had a reservation for 7pm sat and ordered our appetizer and entree along with our drink order . Appetizer didn't show up till 50mins later almost a whole hour. Waiter Dee said she would have the manager take it off the Bill. Now it's almost 9pm when the restaurant closes and we still haven't received our entree . Manager said it was a training experience for her kitchen . We won't be back here with this type of service . Appetizer was plain and overcooked no flavor . Oh they never took off the appetizer either !

Venturing into Da Sesto Italia was a culinary journey that left a lasting impression, thanks to the extraordinary flavors and impeccable service. The Polpette, or meatballs, stood out as a true masterpiece. The richness and depth of flavor in each bite were complemented perfectly by an outstanding sauce that not only coated the meatballs but elevated them to a level of culinary delight. The Fagotto di Vitello, a veal pouch stuffed with a tantalizing blend of sausage, ham, pancetta, mushroom, spinach, and asiago cheese, served with angel hair and Napoletana sauce, was a revelation. The symphony of ingredients melted seamlessly in the mouth, creating a harmonious experience that undoubtedly marked it as the best thing I have ever had. The intention to make this a staple order on future visits is already set in stone.Moving on to the Pappardelle Mamma Angela, the white wine cream sauce was well-executed, but the true star was the homemade pappardelle. The pasta, fresh and expertly crafted, added a distinct dimension to the dish, proving that attention to detail can elevate a seemingly familiar dish to new heights.Dessert brought us the Tiramisu al Limoncello, a Limoncello liquor-soaked cake with a zesty mascarpone cream. While the sweetness and tartness might have leaned towards the intense side for my taste, the presentation was nothing short of outstanding. It was a visual and gastronomic treat that left my husband thoroughly delighted. Our dining experience was made even more memorable by the exceptional service provided by Donna. Her kindness, attention to detail, and spot-on recommendations added a personal touch to the evening. Donna ensured that our food and drinks were not only served promptly but also with a genuine warmth that enhanced the overall dining experience.Da Sesto Italia has successfully blended exquisite flavors with attentive service, earning its place as a top choice for those seeking a culinary adventure that transcends the ordinary.
