I was impressed with the fantastic service! The wonderful owner/manager took my phone order, and had my sanwiches ready by the time I got there and was very accommodating!

Day 2 of the new job in Ybor and this is my second Cuban sandwich. This spot was recommended by a friend as it has been in business for quite some time. This was a busy place. I was there less than 3 minutes and watched them sell 20 Cubans to all the working guys running in for a quick meal. The sandwich was already made so I just took it back to my office. They only serve food to go as there is no place to sit. I got back and unwrapped the sandwich only to find lettuce and tomato on it. My Cuban buddy said if you see lettuce, run the other way . I tried the sandwich and it wasn't bad for a ham sandwich. The roast pork was sliced rather than pulled on this one, and very sparse. It wasn't a bad sandwich, but it wasn't what I had in mind for a Cuban. The croquetas were on point. This one wasn't my favorite, but I was happy I got to try it. Tomorrow is another day and another sandwich.

Best cuban sandwiches in Tampa! I could stop the review right there but this is Yelp so here are a few more details...Large Cuban is under $5!!! Incredible value!Yes it is out of the way and located in the industrial port section of Tampa. Go look at some ships or visit the shrimp docks while you're in the area!Yes it is a small hole-in-the-wall local place (which in my opinion already makes it a must try). The place gets busy so you know it's good!They have breakfast options and many other sandwich options which unfortunately I have never tried as I am always chowing the cuban.If you want a traditional and superb cuban sandwich definitely put this place on your list!

This food is so good I almost ate the bag and the wax paper the sandwich was wrapped in, this time I tried the roast pork sandwich with a side of black beans, wowwwwww sandwich was moist and so flavorful, I tried to save half, yea right didn't happen, black beans were silky and packed with little pieces of porky goodness, people are super friendly and you can't beat the prices, I've been coming here for about 10 years, usually stick to the Cuban sandwiches which are out of sight but I may have a new favorite, nice job D&D's!!!!

What a great place!!! Homey and comfortable!! So friendly to all!! I bought the guava pastries and guava with cheese pastries. They were delicious!! Also picked up a Cuban pressed sandwich for later. It also was great!! I will be back!!

The owners are amazing as amazing as the food! I had the chance to talk to one of the employees who has worked for them for almost 30 years and her love for her job and was so moving. Super cute and right to the point Cuban food. Yummy sandwiches, danishes, and authentic Cuban food Amazing cafe con leche!Amazing prices for the quality and taste, too!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Always friendly, very clean restaurant and the people there are utterly AMAZING! The food is always delicious!!

This is a true Tampa Gem! Fastest sandwich in town and the price is fair. And the pine scrub setting is classic central Florida. (Owners: please plant a couple long-leaf pines on the property)They have their act together and are aware of every customer. If anything, customers need to step it up a notch to keep it moving. They make sandwiches much faster than jimmy johns. The employees are ready to start your sandwich the minutes you come in. You don't have to wait for an available computer to start your order, just blurt out what you want and go pick out chips and a drink. One of the best under-$10 lunches in Tampa.

**** Updated Review ****Popped back into D&D because I remembered how awesome their roast pork sandwich was. Well, it was very good again with super soft Cuban bread and tender chunks of pork. I will say that I remember it being a lot more moist as this time it was kind of dry. Though, I might have ordered it with extra au jus last time. Also, the service was super fast and the black beans side is a meal in itself - just like before. Well done, D&D.

I get inflation....... But a tuna sandwich for $9 on two pieces of white bread and a slice of American cheese is a little much, especially since the day before I got a 7" ham sub, a bag of chips, and a drink for $7.80. Really disappointed. The sandwich was good but not $9 good.
