CW's Gin Joint

CW Gin Joint is hands down one of my favorite spots in Tampa. It's like stepping into a secret club where the drinks are as smooth as the vibes. I always go in with a plan--"I'll just order one drink"--and leave wondering how I'm on cocktail number three. Blame it on Roger.If Roger's behind the bar, do yourself a favor and ask for anything with Uncle Nearest. I don't know what magic he works, but it's always exactly what I need. And if you're a fan of a Clover Club like me, they nail it every single time--perfectly frothy and dangerously delicious.The ambiance? Dim and chill, but never dull. It's the kind of place that whispers "Stay awhile" while Koya's smooth tunes pull you in even deeper. Her and her husband's live performances? Pure gold. I swear, the drinks taste better when they're on stage.CW Gin Joint is classy without being pretentious, fun without being rowdy--basically, the perfect vibe for when you want to feel fancy and a little tipsy. Go see Roger, sip a Clover Club, and enjoy the music.

Justin was the bar tender and he was very helpful explaining some of their unique cocktails in great detail. I sat at the bar directly in front of his drink making area and I saw first hand how much pride he takes in preparing drinks to a certain specification. I ordered the Spoonbill special which Justin invented. It's a unique drink that includes rendered duck fat, Eljiah Craig Bourbon and some other tasty additives. I enjoyed Justin's creation.I ordered portabella fries to go with my drink which came in a huge portion with aioli sauce for dipping. Nice place, great staff nice people. Thanks!

Hidden gem! We date night here a lot. Youve got to be willing to sit at the bar because reservations are booked months in advance! Amazing ambiance

Since attending a birthday dinner at Gin Joint last year, I always wanted to go again but could never find a reservation. Last night, my friend and I decided to go and sit at the bar. Although there's a parking garage across the street, we used the valet service for $10. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday but we managed to sit. They had live music with 2 amazing singers. The bartender, Justin, was awesome and made my 2 drinks to perfection. We didn't have dinner, just appetizers, and both the Truffle purple potatoes and the eggplant fries were delicious. We had such a great time with good music, delicious drinks and appetizers, and excellent crowds. I can't wait to go back.

I recently discovered Gin Joint as a highly recommended spot for office happy hours, so we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the elaborate and intricate decor.The service was excellent and friendly. I ordered a gin martini, which was exceptionally smooth, demonstrating the bartender's expertise.Although we didn't have the chance to sample the food, our overall drinking experience was outstanding.

If you're looking for a unique place that is amazing all around, you need to check out Gin Joint. Every time I've gone, I've had an incredible experience. The food, the drinks, the service, has always been top notch. I love going when the live jazz band is playing because it feels like I'm being transported to another era and another city- it's truly a great vibe. I always ask the waiters or bartenders for recommendations on food and drinks and have never been disappointed with any of the suggestions or anything I've ordered, so make sure you swing by and check them out. You won't be disappointed either!

What a gem of a place!! Great ambiance with a roaring 20's feel, and the service was amazing. Jennifer really knew her stuff and we'll be asking for her personally next time we come which we hope to be soon. The food was ok, but overall lacked salt/seasoning. The drinks were amazing!!!

Gin Joint is fantastic! It's the perfect place to go for a night out with a variety of drinks, foods, and desserts to choose from! I would advise you to make a reservation because it does get very busy. On certain days, they have live music and it is such a good time! Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves! I will say, it's important to plan ahead for parking because Downtown Tampa's parking does require some waking and it does get a little busy inside. Reserving a table helps to ensure that you will have a table and space for you and your party. The service has always been wonderful! The waitstaff is knowledge about the menu and able to provide suggestions. My favorite menu items are the Purple Rain (Vodka, Blueberry, Lemon) and the Coconut Crème Brûlée. The last time we went, our lovely server recommended a delicious drink that I cannot recall the name of (picture attached to this review). It was so sweet and refreshing! Perfect for what I want in my drink! I hope you have a chance to enjoy this treasure if you find yourself in Downtown Tampa! Overall, The Gin Joint is always a wonderful and fun experience! Love this place! The best Bartenders, unique drinks and fabulous menu items. Definitely try the fried artichoke!
