THANK YOU Curry Leaves for finding your way to Lakeland! How did you know we were in desperate need of another good Indian spot?!But really, there have been at least 2 Indian restaurants in Lakeland that have closed the past few years- I only know of one other still nearby. As someone who lovessss this type of food it was so sad. So thank goodness Curry Leaves decided to move here! If I remember right, they were in the Brandon area before and then came here. When you first come to Curry Leaves, don't mind that it's connected to a Quality Inn. This couldn't be more of an oxymoron as the restaurant itself is super nice, clean and honestly even a little fancy. It elevates the Quality Inn, if anything. This is on my top list of Indian places I've been to- and that's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of Indian places. Even a family member of mine who hasn't liked this kind of food preciously enjoyed what she had here. They cook the lamb just right so it's soft and juicy. The naan is thick but cooked through and they even have a naan that has coconut flakes baked inside that's surprisingly good.On the weekends they have a buffet that I am definitely going to come try at some point. I have thoroughly loved everything I've had here. They do even have a full bar here too, and they serve Indian beer which my friend and I were very curious about. Highly highly recommend!

food was alright, service - not so much. i want to point out that there was a big birthday celebration that took up half of the restaurant, not sure if it was well planned ahead of time because there was only 3 servers across the entire store. no one at the bar, and it took 37 minutes to get our food. i timed it after it took 30 min to get a ginger ale and they gave it to the wrong person while the staff looked at me. management, please prep betterfood was good though. we got the laknowi paneer tikka - very good option and had great flavor. slightly with a kick also got the chicken reshmi kababs which were a nice creamy chicken dish that was different than your usual tikka spice.for entrees, we got the puri bhaji, paneer lababdar, kundapur chicken, and the nalli nihari.everything except the nihari was really good. the nihari was like trying to eat a rope thats been hardened in ice. it was tough and it felt stale. i dont believe it was a lamb shank. we didnt even bother to order dessert fearing it was going to take another 45 minutes to bring out a slice of gulab jamun cheesecake and rasmalai tiramisu. would want to try this again as long as there isnt another birthday party. their tampa location connected to a gas station is much better.

A quick stop for an impromptu lunch was rewarded with a surprisingly delicious Indian buffet. We only arrived 30 minutes before closing but the food was delicious! Had some doubts about the location (being located next to a hotel and right off the highway, behind a gas station), but the rich flavors and ample variety of popular dishes quickly put my doubts to rest. Overall the ambiance was good - plenty of natural light, clean, moderately spacious and an upscale bar area.Highly recommend checking out Curry Leaves!

We went to Curry Leaves last night with 2 friends who have been there several times. Curry Leaves in Tampa is my fave Indian restaurant in Tampa so I was excited to eat at their Lakeland location. It's inside the Quality Inn, but the decor inside the restaurant is really nice! Service was fantastic. Everything that we had was delicious. We ordered garlic naan to share. I ordered Karahi Vegetables, and added chicken (Medium Spice)... LOVED IT! Hubby ordered Karahi Chicken (hot). Our friends ordered Chicken Korma & Chicken Varutharachathu, which they both loved. We also had this incredibly delicious dessert... Gulab Jamun Cheesecake. We were told the owner made it. Highly recommend making room for that after dinner!! We will definitely be back.

Been wanting to come here for a minute. They have a sister location in Tampa but this is newer, prettier and easier to get to for me.They have a weekend buffet..I repeat weekend! Most Indian restaurants do buffet during weekday lunch hours so that's nice. I think I heard someone say the menu changes daily so it's always new and fresh items if you want to come in frequently. They have beautiful mural on the back wall near the dosa station. Mango lassi- 10/10. Perfect combo of mango and yogurt but the cherry on top was the cardamom and other spices that added to it.Gulab jamun- 10/10. Best I've had at any Indian restaurant hands down. Doesn't taste like it's out the box or freezer section. Also has spices and shaved almonds to add some flare. Key things from the buffet I loved- chicken 65, tandoori chicken, egg vindaloo, lamb curry. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause we weren't given a menu (I wanted to see what drinks or a la carte items they had) nor direction on if we close the bill at the table or up front. Return? YesRecommend? Yes

Amazing Indian food, probably one of my top Indian restaurants so far. I really enjoyed my experience with this elevated Indian cuisine. From the outside, this place didn't look too promising since it was hidden by a hotel, but walking in the ambiance and interior felt "boujee" as my dad put it haha. The interior was classy and had a fine dining feel.I enjoyed every single dish we had! Firstly, we were given complimentary crispy appetizers (not sure what the name is) with three different dipping sauces. The crispy appetizers themselves were crispy and flavorful. My dad and I enjoyed all the sauces. I don't know the names of them, but one was yogurt, one was sweet, and one was savory and they were all yummy. Next we were given the mango lassi. It was delicious and refreshing! It was made with high quality mangoes blended with yogurt and spices and it wasn't too sweet. Next we were given the Chicken Tikka Naanza which was sort of like an Indian pizza. This was really good! The crust was naan and on top was the chicken tikka with stretchy cheese. Everything worked together, loved this fusion dish. Lastly, we got the lamb biryani and it was delicious. The rice was fluffy, flavorful, and had good heat. The lamb was also flavorful, juicy, and tender. I also loved the caramalized onions in the rice. The rice paired well with the side yogurt which helped render the spiciness. I wasn't the biggest fan of the side pickles though. The service was also great, efficient, and attentive. The servers made sure our waters were filled and they even replaced our plates after we finished our appetizer. I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone passing through the Lakeland area and I want to try the original location in Tampa one day.

Incredible Indian restaurant attached to a Quality Inn hotel located in Lakeland FL!!! A must try; especially for the weekday lunch special! For $14 you have the option of protein, sauce, naan, lentils, rice, and a small fresh salad. Incredible deal for the amount and quality of food! While the location in a Quality Inn does seem odd, their Tampa location (also great!) is located adjacent to a gas station. Must be their thing lol. The restaurant itself is super clean, up to date, and has a nice ambiance to it. When I went it was a little busy during the lunch hour, but I overheard a waiter saying how it gets packed on the weekends. They do a buffet F-S and I could definitely see the appeal. Service was great too!Food: It was a pleasant surprise to get a complimentary snack when I first sat down. I believe it was papadum (a sort of Indian cumin cracker) served with 3 different types of sauces. For the lunch special I ordered the chicken masala and this came with basmati rice, sal tadka lentils, butter naan and a kachumber salad. The naan was perfectly crisp!! Everything was exceptionally flavored and perfectly aromatic. The chicken was not overcooked and the salad was a refreshing addition to the meal. I was shocked at the value of the lunch special, and definitely took leftovers home!Recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone!

While in Plant City, we decided to try the lunch buffet at Curry Leaves. The restaurant was just a 10-minute drive from where we were, and upon arrival, we added our name to the waiting list. After a brief 10-minute wait, we were seated at our table. The ambiance was inviting, and the restaurant featured a full bar for those looking to enjoy a drink with their meal. The lunch buffet offered a variety of dishes, including salads, raita, and a selection of vegetarian appetizers like Pao Bhaji and Pakoras. For non-vegetarian appetizers, there was Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Kebab. The main course options were equally impressive, with vegetarian choices like Baingan Bharta and Aloo Korma. Non-vegetarian selections included Chicken Korma, Egg Biryani, Fish Curry, and Goat Curry. For dessert, we enjoyed Gajar Halwa and Rasmalai--both were delightful. The food overall was delicious and flavorful, with a great balance of spices. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and pleased with our fulfilling meal.

I hope this place makes it. It's in a hotel that looks abandoned from the outside (also it's in Lakeland) but we went over there from Tampa because we used to love the Curry Leaves buffet down on Westshore. The buffet was very good, they were making fresh uttapam and bringing them to the table, which were great! The naan was a little bit lacking, but everything else was good.

I was searching for a good indian restaurant by Legoland that has good reviews and decided to drive 40 minutes to gove Curry Leaves a try. We were blown away with delicious Kerala specialty food and service. Our server Godwin was very nice, friendly and gave recommendations on food to try. We had chilli idli, appam matta egg something, and paneer tikka. Everything tasted delicious, fresh and flavorful. Masala chai and mango lassi were good as well.Highly recommended if you are in mood for some good south indian food!
