Country Chicken n Fish

Lunch time and there wasn't hardly anyone there. A regular walked in & was surprised the place wasn't full. It was clean & friendly employees just ordered to take out. Wanted shrimp but they were prebread so went with gizzards, potato salad & turnip greens. The gizzards were flavorful & almost had a liver texture but gizzard flavor. Potato Salad was delicious & greens were very flavorful. I'll return but not sure about the gizzard.. they were good it's the flavor & texture that was different for me.. ordered 1/2 lb & that's a lot of food.

I truly hate doing this. We tried to eat here again after our last bad experience. As usual, the wait in the drive thru line was horrific but we didn't care because we just knew we would get some of the best food in Haines City! WRONG!!! The gentleman who's been there for a long time came and took our order. My husband told him, "this is going to be a huge order" before ordering. This guy tells my husband to "go ahead". My husband starts telling him the order. He interrupts my husband by asking "is that it". After getting 5 items in, he just walks off and comes back with a napkin to write the order down. My husband had to repeat everything over again. He lacked (always has) customer service skills. He seems like he's frustrated 24/7 and always inpatient.Our drinks came wrong. He gave us two mixed drinks when we ordered a sweet tea and pink lemonade. The gizzards, as hard as it is to believe we're the worst I've ever had in my life! They weren't tender AT ALL! They were so tough! My chicken wings were so small, they fried them so long, the little bit of meat on them were fried crispy to the bone. Completely inedible. I got double fries and got a total of about 10 fries in my plate. $60+ spent on complete garbage! I know I said this last time but I'm for real this time... I won't be spending anymore money on this establishment.

I have visited this joint twice now and the food has been consistent. Both times I ordered the fish and chicken dinner. The coleslaw is good,the Mac and cheese is okay.The fried okra really grabbed my attention! They are super good! So do yourself a favor and stop in, get yourself a chicken dinner or a fish dinner and give that okra a try.

AMAZING!!Just finished a 3 piece catfish dinner with 2 sides. Collard Greens and Potato salad. Both sides were amazing as well. I will continue to go here and try everything on their menu. Their fried chicken is AMAZING!!!

This may not be the fastest place for chicken, but it is very good and fresh! I crave this chicken and am willing to drive almost an hour just to get it. The workers are very kind. I recommend highly. You can call your order in before hand to have it ready just to pick up. Tried the catfish and it was good.

The chicken is perfec i would eat there again. And the waiting time is not that long to get you food

The health department really need to hit this restaurant hard. The workers were not the cleanest, their appearance can be improved. Now to the food, the oil the food was fried in was old and the chicken was hard as if the double fried it to warm it up instead of cooking it. As for the gizzard the were awful and again fried in old oil. Highly disappointed. The waiting area really stinks it smells like a restroom..

The chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked. Their sides we also very good - we ordered Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and collard greens. They were pretty busy so it took a bit to get our order but definitely worth the wait! There aren't any tables available- they are takeout only.

When my family and I first moved into town, went looking for food. I came across this place and decided to go in, I saw they had fried chicken gizzards; being from up North we know good food when when we come across it and let me tell you this place does not disappoint. The way I see it, this place could be on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. This place is legit. You do have to have some patience, the wait can take some but it's well worth it.
