Constant Grind - Seminole Hard Rock Tampa

For all outward appearances this place looks like a typical gelato/ coffee shop.. that was until we tried the Affagato. If you haven't tried an affagato it's espresso and gelato in a glass. So delicious! Theirs also has crumbles and whipped cream. We opt out of the whipped cream but the crumbles add a nice sweet crunch. The coffee used for the espresso is a Lavazza Top Class which is a perfect choice! The staff is friendly. We usually sit and people watch while sipping on this delicious treat.

When I'm staying in Hard Rock Casino in Tampa or Hollywood, there is one thing I seem to enjoy. Take a break from gaming in Constant Grind. No more food court and go straight to Constant Grind. Grab a latte with light sandwich or croissant or Cannoli Cheese Cake, Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch. If you like chocolate, Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch is a good choice! With several layers of chocolate cake with expresso cream, covered with chocolate ganache and hazelnuts, top with coffee cream kisses. They are out of this world! The gelato is getting better and better. When you are in Constant Grind, no one is counting calories! The staff is attentive and friendly. Sorry, no picture in this visit!

This is a casual sit down or grab-n-go spot and the pastries are absolutely delicious!! I visit the Hard Rock Casino very often and there is never a time where I don't stop at Constant Grind to grab some pasties to go. The selection stays the same for the most part but is also updated with new pasties often. They open early enough and stay open late enough if you're looking for a little something sweet to brighten your night! The staff is always helpful and friendly.

I honestly don't even remember what this was. I think some sort of pumpkin cheesecake but I remember it being DELICIOUS. The frosting had gold flakes in it too. This little bakery is so cute and they have tons of options. Glad I got to try and will be returning when I go back to the casino.

The Affogato is the best I've ever had! I lived in Italy for three years and while this doesn't make me an expert, all I can say is my taste buds don't lie. The machine is an $18k Rancilio. I've never seen this machine prior to this but this is the best tasting espresso I'm familiar with. I don't even know what the coffee bean was. I've lived in Germany, traveled to France, and tasted Nicaraguan and Patriot brand (Brazilian), and tried making my own Lavazza and Illy in a Gaggia and Delonghi machine at my house, but you know when you know. Top notch and super clean! There is nothing that you can fix here.

I enjoyed the staff that were working at this cafe. While the line was pretty long, they were still smiling and seemed to be enjoying their day. As for food, my chicken salad sandwich was fine. I'm not grabbing it again, but it wasn't awful for a quick bite in the middle of the day. But, the dessert was perfect - too big for one meal, but definitely great to have throughout the day. When I go back, I'll be skipping the food and going directly to the sweets (for the record, I'm also skipping the coffee).

Whenever I'm in Tampa and staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, there's one thing that is an absolute MUST....besides throwing my hard earned money into the slot machines, that is. I have to pay a visit to Constant Grind, and get one of my all-time favorite desserts. It is luscious, it is decadent, and it is called the Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch. Light, airy espresso cream between several thin layers of fudgy chocolate cake and covered in chocolate ganache and crunchy hazelnuts. It's fashioned as a torte, and I'm not sure if one would call it a cake or a torte, but to me, it's simply one of the best desserts I've ever had...to the point that I recommend it to other patrons standing in line who are first-timers and undecided. If you've never had it, definitely get it, trust me.Honorable mention goes to the Cannoli Cheesecake, which is also scrumptious, topped with 2 mini cannolis dipped in chocolate and pistachios. Constant Grind caters to sweet lovers of all types, serving up varieties of fudge, baked goods, gelatos, beautiful chocolates, and even macarons. On the savory side, they also offer various selections of tempting sandwiches and coffee beverages. I always take my dessert to go and devour in the comfort of my hotel room while binge-watching some random crime show. Constant Grind is easily one of the best parts of The Hard Rock Tampa, and it's great that they're open until 11pm to satisfy those late-night sweet cravings. I was tempted by the Gelato so I had to make a quick pit stop here to try it.I opted for the 3 scoop serving with the flavors of green apple, lemon sorbet and seasonal. When I inquired about the flavor of seasonal, I was told that it was a pineapple flavor. It was a good dessert. Also, the service was quick and friendly.

Their menu board wasn't functioning properly. It was flashing or stuck on a screen about pumpkin spice. I asked if they had a menu. I was the only person there. There was no line. The server offered no help and seemed so bothered. She said it's just coffee, what do you want like she was talking to a child. While deciding if it was worth asking questions about sizes, specialty drinks, latte flavors, etc another woman who appeared to be a manager asked her if I had decided and when the server snidely said "nope not yet" the other woman said "oh the suspense continues" and they both laughed. Of course I left.

Ate here around 2pm, ALL of our food was stale. Cheesecake, cannoli, s'mores taco, all stale. Service was subpar aswell. Will not be returning to this place of business!
