Coco's Food Truck

We had the truck out to our neighborhood for an event and hands down we enjoyed the best yuca fries we have ever had. We had the Cuban sandwich with yuca fries and our son had the kids chicken tenders with fries. Ordering was so simple. We were able to pre-order a day before they arrived and select the time we wanted to pick up the food. It was ready 15 minutes early and we got a notification in the BFT app when it was. We are born and raised in the tampa Bay Area and have had our fair share of Cuban sandwiches. It may surprise you on how many people mess it up, we are thrilled to say this is not one of them. The Cuban was perfection and classic (with the Genoa salami) the portion was wonderful too and did not leave us wanting for more. The yuca fries came with a garlic Mayo sauce and I could put that on almost anything and it would be delicious too. I will order from here again and if I am somewhere that has this truck. I will not skip over it.

I love food trucks! I have the BFT food truck app on my phone so I can find trucks nearby. We have had several food trucks come into our community recently, and so far this has been my favorite.They have different tacos, tostones, Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, stuffed potatoes and more. I have had the pork tacos, which are delicious. Filled with fresh ingredients, they are super tasty. My husband said they even had too much pork....WHAT? Who says that? I have tried both the chicken and beef empanadas. I like the beef, although they are filled with a lot of air. I didn't care for the chicken at all. The first time we got that stuffed potatoes, they were super yummy. The second time they were way bigger and not quite as good. I look forward to their return so I can try something new.

Ordered food here on the recommendation of a friend who I regard as having a good taste in food. He recommended the steak sandwich but I was feeling tacos the day I ordered. Ordered the steak tacos and WOW. Just incredible flavor, really. The portions are great, the value is on point. The Mexican street corn is also SO good, just so flavorful and a perfect addition to the tacos. I hate to be so plain in my wording but this place is just amazing. I can't recommend this food truck enough really.

We just got a cabin and empanadas figured they would be good. Was not expecting to be blown away at how good they were. The prices were good the quality was amazing.

I was so impressed with this food truck, I had to sign them up for YELP!!!!! One of the worst things about where my job is located are the restaurants around me. McDonalds, Subway and Wendys have been my "Go-To" for the last 6 years and to be honest, I can't eat anymore junk food!!! This food truck came at the perfect time. No more driving all the way into Lakeland or Plant City for REAL food. It's an amazing 3 minute drive!!!So I ordered the cuban and I'm always so skeptical because anyone from Florida knows that you do NOT put lettuce and tomato!!! THEY DON'T!!!! They make it the FLORIDA way... and it was INCREDIBLE!!! I still hadn't finished the other half before starting this review, it was THAT good! Now let's get down to these scrumptious Yuca fries... The flavor is out of this world and that sauce, all I can say is... I'M IN LOVE!!!! Carlos and his big beautiful truck have finally made me happy to leave the confines of my office and venture out for some REAL food!!! I can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Give them a try, I promise that you'll fall in love too.

I tried them when I was at Leaven Brewery. I tried the el gordo. The pork was tender and juicy. I wish the sandwich had a little more onion on it. It came on Cuban bread with cheese and aioli. The yuca fries came with a side of aioli. My friends tried other sandwiches and we're all impressed. The food was made to order. It took awhile but the food was hot and fresh so it was worth the wait. They give you a buzzer like at Panera and it will start vibrating when your food is ready.

Ordered the steak sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. My woman got the crab and stuffed potato and it too was amazing. Make a point to visit this truck when you see it. You will not be disappointed!

It's closed you can't go there, so why bother spending your money? If they want good reviews, then they need to be open.

I was recently able to try Coco's when they came to our neighborhood First Friday food truck rally.I am beyond glad I chose Coco's over some of the other options! My partner and I ordered beef and chicken empanadas, bang bang shrimp tacos, bang bang chicken tacos, and yucca fries. Now when I say I'm a yucca fry b*tch, I mean it. And these babies did NOT disappoint. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I could have cried when they were gone. The empanadas were everything I wanted, especially after I had a bland empanada from another place the week before. Coco's empanadas filled the void and my heart.The tacos....the TACOS. I am still thinking about how delicious they were. I got the bang bang chicken and my partner got the shrimp. We could have ordered 100 tacos and finished them in a week. The chicken itself was fresh and juicy, and the bang bang sauce was creamy and flavorful. All of the toppings were fresh as well. Can't wait until Coco's is back in our area so we can try out more of the menu!
