Club Main Street

This place is not only gross but dangerous! We went for a show and my boyfriend pointed out that they had couches placed in front of emergency exits! And apparently they've been shut down before by the fire department three other times!!!

First time, last time. We went to the club last night, after a show by Leslie Jordan at the Polk theater, celebrating "Polk Pride Week" This place is a dive. If the owners put a great deal of money into converting it from a once very nice , Italian restaurant, to what it is now, they cut too many corners. The place is dirty, with broken fixtures, broken walls, and cracked mirrors in many spots. The entrance has an overhang that had water pouring off (it wasn't even raining), that you had to avoid getting soaked. The rest room was filthy, with inoperative fixtures. In the main dance bar, the music was deafening and not good even if it had been turned down to a tolerable level. This area only has one findable entrance/exit, so if there was an emergency, there might be a stampede to get out. I would not go back for any reason. The old place up the street, even though much smaller, is far more enjoyable.
