Clarks has been here a long time and used to be excellent for produce but a few years ago it changed owners and they have gone downhill ever since. I certainly would not call this a Farmers Market by any stretch of the imagination. The one thing I keep going back for is their meat and deli counter. They carry good quality butcher meats and Boars Head deli meats and their prices are a touch lower than the grocery stores. They used to carry the best rye bread in town but have sadly discontinued it.It's a good place to stop if you're passing by but I wouldn't go out of my way.

I must agree with Marianne,Me & My Wife shopped at clarks for 18 years,When David & His wife owned the place.David was the HARDEST working man i have ever known,His Produce Market was the only market around back in the days and his produce was the freshest you could find,Gosh i can remember going every saturday morning and you were lucky if you could find a parking spot, thats how busy it was.there were 4 fulltime cashiers working at one time amd they still had lines of customers.but since the Clarks have sold the market it has gone way,way way, downhill from back in the day.The place is almost empty,The quality of the produce is sadly very poor and rotten.and not much of a variety like when the Clarks owned the place. With the right people owning the market,it could get back to the days when the Clarks owned it.Because that market has LOTS of potential and is a great location.jusssst sayyyying.....

CURRENTLY SUFFERING FROM FOOD POISONING!!! They need to DISPOSE of their expired meats instead of making sausage with it. They don't stop there either, they will freeze their sausage and simply change the dates. The owner must use his nose to test for spoilage, either does not care about hurting people or his sense of smell has gone out with his thyroid... Don't believe me? Go see for yourself. Furthermore, I hope you notice this place's dumpster is always EMPTY. Any food place has a smelly dumpster, this place NEVER throws anything out. Most of the vegetables are rotten as well. Think about the temperature in there during the warmer season, there's no AC and the doors are wide open without screens. KEEP YOUR FAMILY AWAY, THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT-DOWN!

We shopped here for citrus fruit to eat and to ship. ALso for their meat counter.Suddenly their cutrus fruit in the store was no longer very good, and this yearthe fruit shippments to friends for Christmas were not shipped as ordered. Now I read that they have changed hands several years ago...I will be calling them and insisting that the recipients receive the correct quantities at no additional cost to me, and when this is straightened out I will not shop there for anything ever again.I truly think that they are just acting as a sub contractor for citrus shippnents somight as well deal elsewhere. As for the store, they seem to get their fresh producefrom the same place that everyone else does......SO....Aldies is far chaper and oftenbetter.

Best independent market I've found in the Spring Hill area since the new owners have put things right. Prices are very reasonable. Selection is limited due to size but there are some unusual European choices that make it worth a stop. Clean and well run with a small butcher counter that stocks lamb. My new favorite food shop.

Always fresh meats and deli items. Wonderful selection of cheeses. Friendly ownership, clean with unusual items. Love the liverwurst! They get the freshest ginger. Good folks and a favorite place to shop! Hope everyone stops in for a great shopping experience.
