City Side Lounge

Was visiting from out of town and had lunch with a friend and decided to check out the local happy hour scene. Location can be tricky as you blink an eye and you miss the turn (situated towards the back).As for the bar itself, it is nice and airy, plenty of tables. Drinks were around average for top shelf vodka (Tito's @9.00/drink). Bartender was friendly at first but then turned semi friendly after and really didn't engage in conversation with us as he did with the rest of the patrons. Overall, not a bad place at all, low key (at least when we went) & the drinks were good.

I'll start by saying I'm biased because of such an exceptional experience. I'm from Nashville in town for a few weeks biked from downtown! Didn't plan on hanging but stayed for the drag bingo and bartenders (they're not only hot but genuinely friendly!). I rarely leave reviews of such places because i plan on opening a bar so I can be critical in ways that wouldn't benefit the public. I love this place. If you're alone.. you'll find a friend here. (Platonically) at the least.

Visiting Tampa and stumbled upon this little gem of a lounge for some afternoon weekday cocktails! Not only were the drinks delicious, strong, and affordable, but the bartender was kind and entertaining. The locals were also very welcoming and made you feel right at home! Plus the patio was very relaxing and serene - not many places have such relaxing patio! I cannot wait to come back when I visit Tampa!

We always have a great time at City Side! There are always great drinks specials and good people watching. Pre-COVID there were events every night: drag shows, bingo, trivia, etc. They also have recently added food. The food isn't too bad! I enjoyed a pepperoni pizza during a BOGO Happy Hour. BONUS: Because they serve food, the bar is now NON-SMOKING! Raven is such a doll and a pleasure to talk to. City Side is a great bar to begin your night out, day drinking, or a way to end your evening!

Friendly bartenders. Always a good time. Drink specials are always a plus and they now serve a very light bar menu. Cute outdoor area as well. We always stop by for a few cold ones when we visit Tampa

City Side is a great lounge and the best gay bar in S Tampa! There are a wide variety of bartenders who are all friendly, fun and caring. The new(er) owners are amazing! D and Mike have brought new life to this welcoming establishment for the gay community!Karaokes with Scott on Weds and Sats is fantastic! Jae Mya (sp?) who is the show director is amazing! Her humor is sarcastic, catty but yet she is positive and she lives sings and has a voice that is television worthy! (Oh wait, she's been on television multiple issue times!) Free pool on Mondays is great and If you're looking for a nice patio, this place has the best gay bar patio in the area!

Great bar and atmosphere along with good bartenders, especially Michael the daytime bartender. Free parking and no cover.

Love the karaoke nights. Had a couple times where drinks were a bit strong...but that's why so many go! To drink. I like it best because it's the only LBGTQ bar nearest to me, and the crowd is fun. Some usual clicks are there; and favorites who engage with the staff...which is generally attentive.
