What a pleasant surprise . Running errands and decided to stop for lunch. From the outside it almost looks closed but once inside it's a wonderful experience. Lunch menu is very diverse. Hubby had a French dip and I had a Cobb salad that was full of fresh crisp greens with bacon , grilled chicken, hard boiled egg and tomato. It was so big that I ate 1/2 and took the rest home for a second lunch. Hubby's sandwich was a beautiful sandwich that didn't skip on juicy tender beef and some of the best fries ever said hubby . I can't omit a compliment to Jamie , our server , who was friendly and polite . Definitely a must try and for us a must return !!

Great food and service. The steak was delicious but I also enjoyed the salad. Small and nicely appointed dining. Nice folks. Fair prices. Will return again soon.

IF YOU COME HERE WEAR A COLLARED SHIRT!Andi and I ended up stopping in at the Chop Block Grill for dinner on our getaway weekend trip. I saw this Yelp review, and the food looks great, but I definitely came underdressed, and I do apologize to Jami and the staff. We stuck out like hillbillies. Jami is a local of Brooksville and took care of us Saturday night and was an absolute sweetheart. I ended up ordering off their seafood menu on the right side and got one of their specials in the red snapper, and had seasoned up the way Jami preferred.all of the food is cooked when ordered, so it did take a little longer than usual, but it was worth the wait and absolutely delicious. My food:Fish: 9.4Broccoli: 9.0Asparagus: 7.8 (that's my fault I should have asked for them well done) Andi:She said her food was 5/5 stars. After car shopping nearby, a quick yelp search lead us to try this restaurant for dinner. We called ahead and were able to get a reservation within a half hour.We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance and friendly, welcoming hostess when we walked in. My husband immediately noted the smell of a smoked old fashioned as we were being seated, which he ordered and really enjoyed. We skipped appetizers but were given breadsticks that my husband and son liked so much that they asked for a second round. I had a little trouble finding gluten free options on the menu, but our waitress was helpful in asking the kitchen for me. Ultimately I decided on the 8oz filet Mignon in their house seasoning and a baked potato. I had zero complaints...My steak was cooked perfectly and the food was excellent. My husband ordered the cajun grouper with the pina colada rice. He cleaned his entire plate and was very pleased. Lastly our son ordered the clam chowder (and stole some bites of my steak). My son is very picky and he loved his soup and the steak. Overall, a fantastic dinner experience. We'll very likely visit again!

7:30 pm We didn't have a reservation but, they were able to seat us. The place was packed. From the greeting to leaving, everybody was so accommodating. Our server was Heath. We opted for meals other than steak. We started with the mussels, so good. Clint had the Monterey Jack Chicken and I had Shrimp Scampi, The wine menu has some very nice wines and they also had a great selection of adult beverages. They are best known for their steaks, all cut from the loin. Everybody I heard comment on the steaks were " Excellent!" We were looking for a place to eat, as we were driving up to the Chop Block Grill, the smell of their food outside made up our mind, we had to go in. A hidden gem in Brooksville. Over all a great experience in fine dining. Don't be in a hurry, it's worth the wait.

Went for Valentines Day and the food was wonderful! We had an early reservation due to my husbands work schedule and there were not a lot of people when we went in but the were full when we left. We were given a booth in the back which was romantic. Service was great as was the atmosphere. Would not have expected such a place in a strip mall but would go again!!

Great prices, great food. What a surprise to find this great restaurant. High end meals and don't have to drive an hour away. Ribeye is tender and very tasty. We will definitely be back!

Do you remember Ponderosa Steakhouse? Well, IMO, it's been resurrected in Chop Block Grill...except the prices are WAY higher. I've seen so many good reviews for Chop Block, I was anxious to try them. There were issues (petty, really), and some are described below. Bottom line was that my ribeye was less than 1/2 inch thick and full of fat. And I would argue that it wasn't even close the 12 oz that was advertised on the menu. The taste was okay (brought back memories of Pondersosa!), but for $39, I expected a little more. Well, a lot more actually. My husband's strip steak, at $40, was decent tasting, but, again, I would bet not the 10 oz that we paid for. Our dinner, at close to $150 with tip, was lackluster at best. Broccoli was good, rosemary fries were a little under cooked, bread sticks were okay. Wine list was underwhelming. We won't be back.If you're still reading, and care, below are my nitpick comments...I tried calling when they opened for a reservation (per their website), but wasn't able to get through; got a busy signal for over an hour and a half. We went anyways, figuring we'd go somewhere else if we couldn't get in. The manager (I assume) said they were having phone issues, and seated us in the hallway right away. There wasn't a drink menu on the table, and none was offered, so my husband went and got one. His wine was served in a water glass because they "ran out of wine glasses". How does that even happen? It was a nice water glass, but still. Our table was wobbly. Not the kind of wobbly that can be fixed by stuffing a few napkins under a leg. I think the table top needed to be screwed onto the base kind of wobbly...see video. I realize that the restaurant business is very competitive, and costs have gone up substantially. But because it is so competitive, I would think that little things that make a difference in a dining experience that don't impact your daily costs (like service, decor, etc) would be a top priority in obtaining and keeping customers. And better meat cuts. Yep, definitely better meat cuts.

What a find, Brooksville I don't write a review unless it's special, and this place is Special!!! We started off with the French Onion soup and I will tell you that it's the best I've had in a long time. The soup was served hot and perfectly seasoned, the broth was flavorful but not over loaded with sodium. Next week ordered the Steak salad and it did not disappoint the Steak was cook to perfect temperature and the greens were fresh as well as the strawberries and balsamic dressing was fresh and flavorful. So next we had to try deset and the Limoncello is a must have a long with the berry marscapone crumb cake. If you like local Mom and Pop places this will be your go to for sure. Already planning on coming back tomorrow night.
