Cholon used to be my go-to place when it was one of the only markets in St Pete. You will often see the same owners here as Halong Bay in the same plaza. Now, we have a much larger market with more of a selection down on 49th.I don't find the same assortment of pre-made food here anymore or produce, so I go elsewhere. The life has been drained from most of the businesses in this plaza. I hope that they find inspiration to improve.

I had been looking for new Asian Market when my friend told me about this location. The store is large and even has a jewelry store and a home goods store located inside of it! So when I say they have an incredible selection, I'm not kidding. Since my husband is a fan of Ramen, I was able to over indulge him for the Holidays and get him a ton of flavors I wasn't aware of. He was happy! I will certainly come back here in the future!

One of the few oriental grocery that open during pandemic. Mainly Vietnamese customers are visiting this store. Most food are also gear for Vietnamese food. The store is kind of strange. It link to jewelry store next door. The items are not as complete compare to larger grocery store. But is it convenient for the local to pick up item they need. Aisle is a bit narrow to save space for more good to display. The munchies aisle is limited. I could not find the items I like. Selection of item is good enough for you to cook a meal.

I had a horrible experience with Tom in the jewelry store today. My SIL asked for alcohol to disinfect earrings to try on. He grabbed a metal can that looked like paint thinner so I asked him if it was alcohol. His response was to ask if I was able to read. I told him I wouldn't be able to read the bottle if the label is facing him. He proceeds to turn the bottle around to show me. How would you feel about buying jewelry with someone who has a problem with you asking about alcohol to disinfect?. I genuinely didn't feel like I asked the question in a offensive tone or manner. The paint thinner like can is what really warranted me to ask him to clarify.I later asked him to see a pair of earrings. He tells me that he would only show me if I asked him nicely. I told him I did ask him nicely. He continues to tell me that I'm being "rude and stuck up." Can you believe this guy. Customer service is zero stars. This is my first and last encounter with this person. I have shopped there many times, have purchased jewelry there on several occasions and have never had this kind of service with the other sales people in there. Previous gentleman was nice, kind, patient and friendly. Tom was clearly the rude and stuck up one today. Disappointing and def would not support this business again moving forward.Zero Stars.

When we need to stock up on ramen, select from a wide variety of big bags of jasmine rice, and get some kick-ass chili sauce, this place does the trick for us. Throw in some Chinese sausage and fresh garlic to kick the ramen up a notch and life is definitely good... Trust me. Sauté and brown the Chinese sausage, throw in garlic, some fresh randomized veggies, add to your ramen with a raw egg, and ramen will never be the same. As for this location, it's always reasonably clean, semi-friendly, and air conditioned.

This market is ok and has most of the essentials to stock your pantry. Selection of dry goods and produce is not as big as other markets in the area though. Not much variety. Aisles are crammed pack full of stuff and very tight navigating when trying to pass people. Can't imagine how people use shopping carts here.I have yet to venture into the other shops connected- looks like they also sell housewares and clothing. There is also a jewelry shop off to the right side going towards the doorway next door. Strange. Not sure about meat selection, I must go on off days as there is never anyone behind the meat counter. Prices seem a bit higher than neighboring stores. Honestly, I only come because it's so close to my house when I just need to grab a few things.
