There's one in most every neighborhood and they stay open later than most food serving establishments. You'll know this if your new in town by their location, typically afixed to a sleep of same sized stores, next to a cellular phone business and butting up to a liquor store. A family affair with Uncle on the wok with a half burnt Kent III Light 100, half ash arched and dangerously holding connected. Kids at a table closest to the counter, dad pulling up on his plastic bagged seated 1979 Schwinn ten speed that's now a single speed with bad brakes, mom at the counter. With pencil in hand, occasionally stabbing at the rice in the holder, I scanned the topographical menu avoiding what I deemed "unhealthy". Throwing that idea to the wind I circled Pork Dumplings, I used to make them at home, taught to me by my Chinese neighbor and I'd buy them by the sack on Broadway. Extremely ridged like an old man's skin that fell asleep in the kiddy pool, but meaty (porky) and flavored nicely.Three shrimp that I could bounce off the floor like a basketball were surrounded by a replica picture of the Birds Eye brand vegetable commercials of the 80's, but that's everywhere, it's commonplace - whose using farm fresh produce anymore and isn't it a shame.

My husband ordered the combination plate with sesame chicken. It was OK. Very sweet. The egg rolls are terrible. The rice was OK but a bit on the salty side. I ordered the shrimp with cashews. It was the combination dinner also. I agree with him on the, eggrolls and rice. The shrimp and cashews came with five smaller shrimp and six cashews. All the rest was diced raw carrots, and a little bit of celery. I had to throw it in the trash. It was awful. The people there were very friendly.

Maybe the other reviews set the bar too high, but we weren't impressed with the China Wok in Apollo Beach. Just ran in for some takeout. Ordered online and drove up. Typical hole-in-the-wall cheap Chinese place--small, tired location with fading menus and old awards highlighting better days. Well worn kitchen with stacks of sundries lining the walls--not necessarily a bad sign. Service was quick and the young cashier very nice. Our orange chicken was mushy and pretty much soaked in red corn syrup. The fried rice (extra charge) appeared more yellow than fried, and the wontons were heavy and not crisp. Top it off with an over fried egg roll for a mediocre meal. Sorry to say we won't be back.

New to the area and trying to find good restaurants! Well, this is one of the best Chinese food restaurants we have found. Not greasy! Very Flavorful! Super nice service! We are so happy we found them! We ordered 4 combo specials and every one was delicious! The chicken wasn't over breaded or over sauced. There was a ton of beef with the beef and broccoli. The noodles in the lo mein weren't swimming in oil. We were totally impressed. It will be a frequent place we will order from!

Excellent NY Style Chinese food! The hot and sour soup is one of the best I've had. Big chunks of fresh mushroom and the perfect amount of spices. Everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is always so kind and makes sure that you have everything you need when you take out. You can also order online which is a huge plus because I hate calling people on the phone. The best around!

Steamed dumplings= very goodGarlic chicken = best in area, a little spicyCashew Chicken = averageFried rice and egg rolls = below average, ridiculous amounts of hard diced carrots, very little cashew or chickenWill try something again and will get regular rice. Plentiful portions. Home made Chinese hot mustard was extremely intense. 1 goes a long way.

The most tasteless Chinese food I have ever had. How in gods name does this place get a 3 star ratings. After waiting a half hour for my order and 7 minutes getting home the food was only a slight warm. Everything was dry, like no sauce on anything, shrimp with black bean sauce should be moist with sauce and it was dry, a poor excuse for this dish.Need to find a local Chinese carry out that is good. Won't be back to this place!!!!!
