Chef T's Garden Grill

This is one of my favorite places for a celebratory dinner. The food is delicious, well prepared and the service is impeccable. But best of all, you can hear the people at your table. With so many rooms people are secluded and when you eat, you're not shouting at each other over noise and Muzak. It's a delight to have dinner here.

My wife and I visited Chef T's for dinner last weekend and had a nice experience. We started the meal with the French Onion Soup. The soup was rich and flavorful, filled with savory soaked bread and topped with melted Swiss and Provolone cheeses. We also shared the Escargot appetizer. The escargots were tender and juicy and soaked in a rich white wine and sherry sauce and topped with tender earthy mushrooms. For my entrée, I had the Veal Marsala. The veal was tender with a light savory breading and topped with a rich earthy marsala sauce. To end the meal we couldn't resist the Limoncello Cake which was moist, had a nice lemony flavor and was topped with an airy whipped topping. Overall, Chef T's is worth a visit in Lakeland. The restaurant is very small so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

The quaint house setting is fantastic. The down part is if you have loud customers, then there isn't enough to absorb the noise.The parking can be tricky if busy, but it is adequate for most visits.Now, to the service, Jenne was five 's. She was attentive, pleasant, and not pushy. She had a great attitude and was friendly. This was the highlight for sure, and why we will try again!They have a wonderful wine-by-the-glass or bottle selection. The French onion soup was good, but a tad to salty for me everyone has their taste. The stuffed cod was tender and tasty but was missing something. The escargot was delicious and the perfect amount . The veal and peas were different, not bad, just not to our liking; again, to each their own. The bread was tasty, and the place settings were well done. Now the limoncello cake give me that first; it was outstanding!!This would be an excellent place for a date or with friends. Make a reservation as they are open 5-8 pm, and last seating is 745pm!! Went for a birthday party of 11 people. Ordered 2 calamari, and escargot for apps they were perfectly cooked and fresh. I had the veal with shrimp and scallops. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Everyone's dishes looked great and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Service was excellent. Never an empty glass , meals were served promptly. Enjoyed the quaint and cozy atmosphere of a rustic home. Would make a great date night. Chef Terry did a superb dinner service.
