Located at the Krate. Greeted upon entering by the most friendly lady. We were handed menus and everything looked so good that it was such a hard decision. Hubs and I both got the sampler so that we could try a bit of everything. It's a lot of food!! They have some seating inside as well as tables outside. The food is made fresh. Food was good. The chicken was the only thing I think needed some extra flavor. My favorite was the arepa and empanada (beef).

This salchipapa was very mid. Especially for the price. The food was okay and the service is eh. Only thing going good for it is the ambiance since it is located at the Krates.

What a wonderful place! We stopped at KRATE for lunch on a Friday and decided to try this gem! All of the food looked good, and the owner suggested we do the sampler platter. It was a ton of food, so we were happy we split it. But we couldn't decide what we liked best because it was all outstanding! The owner was also super nice, and their inside space was cool and nicely decorated. We'll be back soon for dessert.

Out of all the eateries at the Krates this is by far my favorite. The staff is always friendly and these are some of the best arepas I have ever had. Get the sampler platter to try a bit of everything.

Just visited Chamo Bites today. They specialize with Venezuelan street food including arepas, cachapas, tostones, empanadas, patacones, & tequenos. I do love this food so it is a nice welcome to the Krates at the Grove. Ordering can be a challenge due to language barrier. One male was there who couldn't speak any English except to go or for here. Soon after a female who spoke English was there who was very nice and helpful. This is not fair if the person doesn't understand our order. I think it be helpful if someone working the front was bilingual. That would really make the customer service much better. Saying hello is a pretty simple cordial detail too. I ordered a patacones which is basically a plantain sandwich with ropa vieja (shredded beef), ham, Cole slaw, cheese, & and tons of sauce. This was good, but the sauce on here was overkill. It was way too much. It basically tasted like a messy Mayo amongst other flavors. I think if I ordered it next time I'd say sauces on the side.Food here takes a very long time. Luckily they have good a/c, but it does get smoky like the ventilation should be better.I have had Venezuelan food a lot of other places. I'm happy for another variety especially in the Krates where there is different types of food.

Having lived in Venezuela as a kid and having Venezuelan parents, I've been looking for a place that makes good, true Venezuelan food nearby and guys- that place is finally here. I took my family here on a Sunday Funday adventure to the Krates in Wesley Chapel and couldn't have been happier with our experience. We ordered a Chamo Bites Platter to share and my dad wanted a ham and cheese empanada, and they were delicious and extremely fresh. We also got some Frescolita, chicha and jugo de parchita (Passionfruit juice) and I instantly got transported back to my years living in Venezuela. Top things I would recommend getting if you're trying out Venezuelan good for the first time or just wanting to try something new: Chicha- literally the best thing we had and everyone needs to try it. It was delicious! Tequeños- cooked to perfection! Mini arepas/arepas in general- we got two mini arepas in our Chamo Bites Platter. One was reina pepiada and the other was pabellón, which are traditional Venezuelan arepas. I also got one (not pictured) with cheese, ham and plantains and it was also great.

I've been here a couple of times. It is a Small space, you could eat in and there is sitting on the sidewalk as well. Spanish music was playing in the background. they do not accept cash. Regardless of what time of the day or how busy are they, food seems to take about 10 minute or more. Food taste authentic and fresh, except for fries which were super oily and deep fried.

I don't know about authenticity of the food but I loooove chamo bites. Lol. The cachapa and empanadas are soooo good. The cachapa is Made from corn flour and have pieces of corn in it. The plain cheese is my fave. I could eat these every week. They have some seating inside and out. But like all krates it's limited. Unlike other reviews, I had no trouble communicating with the cashier. Not sure if this got better since those reviews. The orders do take some time to come out but their ALWAYS PIPING hot and delicious.

Great food but kind of pricey. We got the sampler and shared it to try and keep the cost down. The cachapas were to die for. Corn and cheese combos in any form is great. The arepas were good but a little messy and hard to eat. Overall was very pleased and have gone back specifically for cachapas but this is not a place for a budget meal.
