Staple of Tampa.Always do a great job for us.We would not use anyone else.Their people deliver fantastic service and their food is a hit with everyone.Would recommend to anyone.

Very surprised with some of the reviews, but I only have greatness to say about Catering by the Family Inc.Last night I attended an Influencers Event hosted by Tracy G. and Ian B. with great food and drinks were catered by the Family. Accompanying me were some of my best gal pals and we were all in unison -- the food was fantastic.The display was very festive and well laid-out. There were little sign holders that described each tray. It's the first weekend of November in Florida, so I really appreciated their fall touch with pumkins and autumn leaves across the tablescape. Each item served was hot and fresh and they somehow even managed to keep a COLOSSAL pot of Paella piping hot and delicious for hours as the event went on.Items I enjoyed thoroughly were:- Red/White Wine and other Beverages- Paella Ole: an Ybor tradition made with yellow rice, delicious chorizo sausage, shrimp, chicken, pork, mussels, peas and red peppers.- Mini Pressed Cubans: hot off the presses with layers of sliced roast pork, glazed ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles. Perfect finger food for us Tampa folks ;)- Mini Beef Empanas: woah mama, these were scrumptious! Crispy meat pies with their housemade picadillo fillings. Yes.

CBTF catered our wedding reception, and reaction from guests was unanimous that the food is outstanding! Empanadas were especially a hit. Lobster rolls were my personal favorite. We paid to have it delivered on a Friday afternoon in post-COVID rush hour and they were on time. Food is delivered in catering-size foil trays, so you'll need your own chafing dishes or other serving pieces. We will be using Catering by the Family again!

I guess all they care about is howmuch you spend and not a thing about making a nice event! Don't waste your time.

Have used Catering by the Family for large events as well as more intimate gatherings. Always a five star experience. Steve and his entire staff are always most courteous, efficient and professional. Erika in sales is the best!!! Communication is a huge plus ensuring expectations are surpassed. The food has always received high reviews from my guests. Not your typical caterer. Prices are very reasonable for such quality all the way around. Delighted to have Catering By the Family as my go to for my events!

My experience with this company has been amazing! Growing up in Tampa I have seen food from Catering by the Family at every kind of event you could imagine, Weddings, Fundraisers, Baby Showers, Graduation Parties and everything in between. It's always amazed me how they could perfect catering a small 30 person event as well as mastering a huge 500 person event. The staff is always polite and attentive and the food is always to die for, I wish I could give this place 10 stars. A true, South Tampa Staple.

We hired CBTF to cater 9 events (one a week) for our non-profit and BOY did they deliver. Not only where they incredibly understanding of our unique situation but they delivered everything, on time, every single week with polite delivery people. Sandra was incredibly sweet even when there was a mix-up (our fault) and really walked me through the ordering process. Our kids got to experience multiple cuisines, authentically made and to top it all of the food was AMAZING. Thank you so much CBTF for being a truly reliable and PEOPLE centered business in our city. HIGHLY recommend!

They just did an event for my work and they were excellent. I got nothing but high praise for the food and it's quality. Sandy was wonderful in getting me a prompt quote and even adjusting it for me when I left an item off (oops!). A lot of effort goes into the quality and presentation of the food, it's clear. Amazing, professional, and highly-recommended for any business events you're thinking of hosting. I had a lot of happy and stuffed coworkers by the end of it. :) Some of my favorites were the Buffalo chicken dip and chicken fingers. I heard a lot of love for the hummus with pita chips, too, and the spanikopita was all but gone by the end!HIGHLY recommended. Thank you!

they provided the mini empanadas and cubans for my son's graduation. they were so good we ordered for another event we were hosting.

I recently had a wedding and catering by the family were chosen for both our bar and food. The day of my wedding they informed me that the beverage that I requested that was listed on my invoice and paid for was not an option. Instead they provided me with a lesser quality product that was disgusting. It just so ironically was the bartenders father who made the product. So not only did they not have what I requested but they were pushing the product of an employees family member. They also supplied another beverage option that I said I did not want specifically and another I did not approve. When I tried to reach out to Erika to inquire about the situation, I had to call multiple times and leave messages with no return in sight. After a week of trying I finally reached her and she looked it up and said she would get back to me after speaking with Steve. A week after that I sent an email and no response still to this day. I am very disappointed with the way I have been treated considering this was a recommended catering company by the venue. If I had any other option it would have been that. Maybe then I would have been given respect.
