If you want or need scotch bonnet peppers, this is the place! We learned how to make rice and red beans (aka "peas") with coconut milk and scotch bonnet peppers at a Jamaican cooking class in Miami. This is the spot where we buy our ingredients! It's incredibly delicious! If you want the recipe, reach out! Life is good with incredible food!

Due to COVID-19, the staff were wearing gloves and masks. They directed each customer to wash their hands upon entering the store ( kudos). I called in advance for Sea Moss ( which I would never find in my neighborhood. NEVER!!) and I was told they had some in stock. Was very pleased to see they had what I needed and soooo much more.

This is a locally popular Jamaican grocery store for folks that live in this neighborhood. Parking is light and located in a modest shopping plaza off of Fowler Avenue and US 41. I'm in here every now and then randomly. They have many Jamaican and other Caribbean products including produce, bulk items, and seafood. There were so many different spices and sauces here! On one of the days I went here, they sold scotch bonnet peppers (Unfortunately, rare in the Tampa Bay Area and the epitome of Jamaican flavor in Jamaican food)! I was told they (scotch bonnet peppers) are not usually sold there. According to what I was told, these are in a backyard and sells when there is enough. They are so good (spicy though)! I was excited to see that they had Jamaican dutchie pots! They are very hard for me to find. I ended up gifting one for Christmas. The recipient was so happy! They cook well (Not for induction stoves). I bought my fill of teas here while I was at it. The owners are super friendly and willing to give advice if you ask for it. It was a nice local stop while I was in the neighborhood.

Lots of the Jamaican store settings, including the lack of tidiness. Apart from that, getting familiar Jamaican food is always a plus.

What more can I say but to name it your local caribbean store. It's not your typical supermarket, here you'll find only things from the caribbean islands. Which is good and bad, the good you'll get to buy things you can't find in your local supermarket like spices that you know growing up in the caribbean. The bad is just like any typical caribbean store I've ever know, no pride in up keeping the store. I mean it looks deserted and who knows how long before they restock it. I'm yet to find one where you can look forward on being back. Just because it's in a low income location doesn't mean you have to look that way. There aren't many shops like this one in Tampa so when I find one I'm hoping for the best and rooting for a positive outcome. We need shops as this one, but looking the way they do you feel you want to pay just cash to be on the safe side.

The new female employee is just rude and nasty. I've been coming to this store for over 10 years and I refuse to go back until this employee is terminated. You need me not the other way around. Just plain rude staff

This is my favorite go to shop for Caribbean goods. It's family owned and has been a mainstay in the community for over a decade. They keep the shelves well stocked and have everything you could think of to make Caribbean, African, and Latin dishes. The staff is welcoming and warm, and the vibe really feels like you're stepping into the islands every time you go. I've been to other Caribbean grocery stores in the area and in Orlando and I haven't found prices as good as this location. I think the owner has done a really good job trying to keep prices, reasonable, even during the pandemic. They also have delicious beef and veggie patties!

Amazing family-owned and operated Caribbean shop. Claude, the owner, personally selects the best food and produce weekly to ensure the best options are available. I would highly recommend shopping here!
