Cappy's Pizzeria

We returned to Cappy's after a long hiatus. My son was interested in trying Chicago deep dish pizza, and Cappy's is the only place that offers it in south Tampa.I called ahead and ordered the pizza for a Tuesday night at 8PM. We arrived on time, and the parking lot was nearly empty. My food was packaged to go and piping hot. The thin crust pizza had been cut but the Chicago style pizza was not, which was preferable.I thought the thin crust pizza was fine, but the Chicago style pizza was quite good. I thought the crust was a little sweeter than I preferred, but I did love how buttery it was, and the sauce was so nice and tangy.Cappy's now takes credit card! There's a convenience fee, but that's becoming increasingly common, and I was just so delighted to not have to have cash on hand.

The ONLY reason I gave this place four stars (nothing to do with the food) is the parking and cash only. What a pain!!! The pizza is good! For deep dish, this is our go to place! It's cute inside. Can't comment on service, since we only get it to go!

Decent but not a Chicago deep dish. More of a thick crust. Burnt the edge though. Sauce is right. Taste is good. So not bad.

Despite mixed reviews, I decided to give Cappy's a chance, and I'm glad I did! The pizza was delicious, perfectly balanced with cheese, veggies, and meat. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

YESSSS! BEST PIZZA EVER!!! divine perfection... my favorite pizza ever!!! 10/10. get the chicago style pizza and the cheese breadTHEY FINALLY TAKE CREDIT CARDS!!! (according to facebook...). they only took cash for the longest time ever which was inconvenient but now they have made a great change it's so cute and awesome inside. i usually order for pickup by calling which is very easy and quick! they have a parking lot which is relatively small but i've never had a problem with parking.

I have heard so many people RAVE about this place and was so excited to try but was left so disappointed. I ordered a large cheese with caramelized onion, a small deep dish with pepperoni and 2 sides of ranch. They are cash only which they informed us over the phone but did not inform us of the price. The large cheese with caramelized onions was given to us with raw onions, would not of ordered raw onions on a pizza and was really disappointed at the taste. I'm not a fan of raw onions as is. The deep dish with pepperoni came with approximately 4 thin slices of pepperoni. To be paying almost $3 for a topping and get so few pepperoni slices that it wasn't till the 2nd slice that I got any at all is absurd. Two ranches were not included. No receipt was offered so I can't even see if we were charged. Total was $36.

I'm the only one in my family that likes deep dish pizza. This is the only deep dish I'll eat in Tampa. I grabbed this as carry out last weekend. This is the small deep dish Cappy's (their deluxe). It never disappoints. Tip- if you go on a Friday night, go slightly before they open. I was there at 4:40. It was ready in 25 mins just like they said. Note- if you've never been, it's a small place with not a lot of parking. And they only take cash.

Can't call to order pizza! Phone line is dead, doesn't answer, tried calling over 10 times.

We got take out and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! We got the Caesar salad and the Cappys deep dish pizza! It was all so so good! I would definitely recommend :)
