Cappy's Pizza

Cappys for family dinner night and they did not disappoint. Ordered over the phone had a bit of a wait time but when I got there my order was ready to go. I asked politely for a side of basil and the gentleman at the front got me not one but two which I appreciate very much!The pizza was delicious everyone loved it and the cheese bread is always a hit.

We order pizza here a lot and I am always hopeful.The sauce and crust are good and the salads are fresh, however the pizza leaves me feeling ripped off. It's $50 to $80 dollars everytime we eat here. Today it was $55 for 1 large peperoni , 1 small peperoni, sausage, mushroom and onion and a salad. I did not know the second pizza had mushrooms until the second slice. I would really like $20 dollars worth of pizza for my money. The toppings are so sparce I have to add to the pizza everytime.

This was my first time trying this restaurant.Cappy's is located in a nice area with plenty of parking spaces. I went with a group o friends. Once we arrived, we notice that the decorations inside were really cool.I ordered the Chicago style dip dish Cappy. It was very cheese, huge amount of sauce and very tasty. Unfortunately, it took a long time to get the order (almost 50 minutes). It was understandable since they have a lot of people, but that was too much.I'll go again, but probably I'll call and pick it up.

I have been wanting to come here for a long time but always seemed to be in the area during their closed hours. On a Sunday at 4:30, we found a pleasant table outside for the 4 of us.Our server was super friendly and quickly brought drinks and took Lori orders.My husband and I settled on a small Chicago style made Cappy's way and a large NY style with pepperoni and onion (we like leftovers).Pizzas arrived and I forgot to take pictures so the pictures I have are what we took home. I started with the deep dish and enjoyed the crunchy crust and the sauce. I didn't really taste all the ingredients but the sauce had a nice kick to it. Next was the NY style, which I wouldn't call NY style as it was very thin at all. It wasn't all that much thinner than our deep dish. I think the sauce is more overpowering and again, couldn't really taste the pepperoni and just maybe a slight taste of onion. I only ate 3 pieces as it was very filling.I walked away thinking of 4 stars as it wasn't my favorite pizza, but service was good and I liked the crust and sauce. It moved down to 3 stars when I was up all night with a bad stomach.

Excellent NY pizza! Very fresh. Was totally surprised to walk in and find this gem. We left Acropolis as the wait time wasn't conducive to our plans.

Cappy's is located in the Winthrop Town Center in Riverview. We discovered this delicious restaurant after many years. Not sure why it took so long but it has now become a favorite spot! The first time visiting we had a regular traditional thin crust round pizza. It was delicious but the star in this restaurant is the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza! After trying the deep dish it's the only pizza we order here. The sauce and the crust are delicious and we are fans! Along with our pizza we always order a Greek salad. They offer a few kinds of salads but we always order the Greek salad. It's so good and the salad is topped with feta cheese. If you're not a fan of all that cheese, do as I and ask for it on the side. The dressing on the salad is amazing. I recently learned they actually sell the dressing! This pizzeria is not huge and it's always crowded for good reason! They have a few tables outside as well. The restaurant is only open for dinner and I believe the hours are:Mon-Thurs 5-9pm Fri & Sat 3:30-10Pm Sun 3:30-9PmThe staff and all the young servers are all excellent and extremely sweet.

The exterior of the building was a clean, modern brick facade with decking on the upper levels giving it a bit of a European / New Orleans feel. The interior was full of classic agricultural and automotive signs from yesteryear and was well-lit.To start our meal, we ordered a large Greek Salad (see picture) to share and we were not disappointed - it was delicious! We ordered 3 pizzas to share (see pictures) - 2 NY Customs and a NY Cappy. We enjoy thinner crusts and found all of these options to be very good - wood-fired edges with plenty of sauce and toppings.A rock-solid pizza shop that I would recommend and look forward to a return.If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow.

Dined in on a Tuesday afternoon and got a large Chicago deep dish with meatballs and caramelized onions. A little disappointed that they didn't have ricotta because I think that would have elevated the pizza 10-fold. It was a very solid pizza and the crust was buttery and flaky! The crust is what made it delicious and unique. The sauce was flavorful and it was very cheesy! Even reheated the next day, it tasted pretty good. Not the best deep dish I've ever had but you'll leave satisfied. 3.8/5

Our new go to pizza spot! Hands down the best in Riverview! The fact that I ordered ahead, let them know that I was an hour away and as I pulled up my order was just coming out the oven made my shed a tear! The pizza was piping hot still even 20mins later as I got it home. Cheesy breadsticks, don't miss those either! I love how this place is also tucked in the back of a shopping plaza. Feels like if you know about it, you go. But if you don't, you walk right by. People, stop in!! The service is always great, clean and the food is great!!!

High quality menu and service. Good atmosphere, nice location and friendly staff.Simple food menu executed very well. Kudos to this franchise
