I am surprised with the bad reviews. My husband and I really liked the food. Chips, salsa and queso were delicious, empanadas were really good and so were the tacos. Will be back for sure.

1st ordered a pitcher of margaritas frozen. she then says to me, so you want a Margarita and your wife wants a Margarita? I said we want a pitcher. so she reaches and grabs my phone out of my hand. (now that was funny) so I explain what we want and off on her way. then a pitcher of purple sangri over ice show up. I said, "this doesn't look like frozen margaritas" she said it was... then after us trying it then her going back to the bar to ask, she brings out the correct thing. my 1st sip was my last sip. all I could taste was pineapple juice. It was awful. 3 other people tried and agreed. Didn't send back, should have. they charged $50 for it. then order cheese dip, it tasted like it had flour added to thicken it up. 5 others tried it and no one liked it, sent it back. replacement ate just because at this point I was feeling like a Karen. salsa came was so liquid that you had to put the chip in your mouth then take a spoon full of salsa. Street corn tasted like they forgot to season it. had very little flavor. didn't eat it. their food truck on New York Ave is amazing and have loved eating there, so I don't know why this was so bad. Out of 13 of us, 11 said they would no go back.

Went this past Saturday afternoon to check it out prior to going for dinner with my wife. Sat at the bar, had a margarita which was very good and then a Modelo along with guac and chips. The chips were fresh, crisp and perfectly salted. I thought the Guacamole was okay but could have used less onion and acid ( lemon/lime juice ) which took away from the flavor of the avocado. Service at the bar was good and it appeared the servers in the restaurant were attentive. Two managers/owners were continuously walking the floor and helping where needed. . There's outdoor dining, The beer list is limited with only about 5 bottled brands, no draft. Reviewing the menu it does seem to be a little more expensive, but if everything is fresh made to order than it would be worth it. The atmosphere is good but I can see it getting loud when the restaurant is full. I'm sure being open just 3 weeks they are still working out kinks but overall it was a good experience and will return

Love this location, but we got a healthy puff of diesel smoke from the fishing boats at the dock. Wondered why they didn't close the doors and it's because they've never been fixed from the flood. One of the doors still has a foot of water from the flood between the panes of glass. Two employees were needed to try and close one door and they couldn't get it closed. Could overlook all of that for good food and drinks. Had a round of house margaritas that must have had the tequila bottle waved over the top because it was straight mixer. Could be because they were "happy hour 2 for $11, but splash some tequila in them. Food came out and it looked pretty good! But, I ordered a chicken chimichanga that comes with rice and beans on the side. Dug into it and the chimichanga was rice, beans and cheese. The chicken has since been put on a milk carton, because it's still missing. My wife had the fajitas that were a little better but not great. Funny thing was no Margarita menu or tequila choices in fact the only tequila I saw was a bottle of Patron and 1800 Blanco. Friendly staff, great location but there's work to be done here if they're gonna make it.

Went there with friends on Saturday. My husband and I lived in New Mexico for awhile and ate in Mexico quite often. We were so looking forward to some authentic (not Tex-Mex) Mexican food. 3 out of 4 of us hated our meals. I ordered the Burrito 5 De Mayo with chicken. I had to dig through it to find a piece of meat. It was FULL of beans and rice. Plus it came with beans and rice as sides. My friend's chimichanga had very little meat as well. Another friend's tamales were dry and flavorless and her street tacos were dripping with grease.

they are still learning a lot... But I will go back for sure. We met the owner personally due to a few issues, but he could not have been any more supportive and concerned that things weren't perfect. I ordered the Tostitos and they were delicious. I would say definitely give it a try. They try to get everything out at one so you need to be patient. And yes it might take a little bit longer than the average place. but try it with a positive attitude and enjoy the view, and understand that new restaurant do you have some kinks to work out in the beginning. But. again, the owner is such a nice person that I would really love to see them succeed, and therefore I would recommend to support them. if you're in a hurry, wait until a time that you can sit and relax by the water and joy, free chips, and salsa have some drinks. and when your meal comes, I hope it was as good as mine.!! best of luck for this owner. His heart is definitely into succeeding.

From the moment we ordered drinks, it was clear this place had some serious communication issues. I asked for a bucket of Michelob Ultras, yet the bartender returned with a single bottle of beer and a Bud Light. Thinking it was just a simple mistake, I repeated my order--only to be met with complete confusion. I understand language barriers, but this was a bit much. When it came time to order food, I made sure to clearly state what I wanted and even pointed to the large picture of it on the menu. Somehow, my meal was still completely wrong--and to make matters worse, it was a soggy mess. The salsa, priced at $5.99, was basically water with a few floating tomatoes. If you wanted any flavor, you'd need a straw to sip it. Meanwhile, my husband's tacos were barely filled, and the little bit of meat that was there was tough and inedible. As if the food wasn't bad enough, the atmosphere was pure chaos. A jukebox was blasting, competing with a giant TV that was also blaring music--two totally different sounds clashing at full volume. It was impossible to enjoy the meal (not that the food gave us much reason to).Good luck if you decide to give this place a shot.

We decided to give this place a try since it was on the water and was a nice day out. First we were greeted at the door and asked if he was would like a seat inside, we asked if there was any room outside and the hostess walked away and began talking to presumably the manager and they both looked very stressed out because there wasn't a seat out there, we would have gladly waited but it was weird that they didn't offer that. Since it seemed to be causing an issue we said it's not a big deal (because it's not) and we sat at the bar. I looked over their drink menu and asked the bartender what was in the Cancun margarita, which is their most expensive margarita at $15. I couldn't really hear him but I believe he said something like it's like a normal margarita but with mango so I said sounds good and ordered it. He then brought a margarita with a coronarita in it. I really wasn't gonna make a big deal out of it but it was truly not a good drink lol. So we sent it back and again the bartenders seemed very stressed out about it so I started feeling bad and had my boyfriend drink it and they made me a Cancun margarita. I could not tell you why that drink was $15. It was like a margarita in a bigger class that they put blue curaçao in. It was not good. The only other margarita they offered is a house margarita so instead for my next drink I asked for a modelo. The same bartender brought me a corona and at that point we just didn't care any more, finished our meal and left. I will say the tacos were very good as well as the hot sauce that comes with it. The chips and salsa were mid and they only brought us a small basket. We will most likely not be back unfortunately which sucks because the view is nice. Over all the service was mid, drinks were not good, chips and salsa mid, tacos were good and the vibe of the restaurant inside was uncomfortable. But it looked like the people outside were having a good time.
