Being living in Miami over 11 years, you can tell what is good Cuban food. This restaurant gives me the taste with memories in South Florida. We were here because of my friend Dave review. Our visit to confirm the true Cuban cuisine is definitely delicious. I got the vaca frita - fried flank steak. The separate the steak and pan fried to crispy. It go very well with rice and plantains. The rice cook good with oil and plantains were not burn. My wife got the bread pork steak. The coating is crispy and flavorful. She have yuca and tostone as the sides. The yuca was perfect soft and garlicky. Overall the price is affordable and food is magnificent.

It's an unpleasant experience for me, and i can say for everyone who visited the restaurant yesterday for lunch. The frustration was on everyone's face. They had a decent amount of people who are eating in and doing take out. There's only one person front of house. The wait for anything is insanely long. Waiting to order took 15min, getting the check is another 15min. It's a little cafe with 4 tables so it should be faster than that, especially for lunch. Food is less than decent, thought because they are running around and would make the food hot but the sandwich was luke warm at best. Also, i ordered a $8.5 sandwich (roast pork) and also the yucca fries as appetizer. But it seemed like my friend's $6 cuban came with a larger quantity of regular fries than my appetizer Yucca frieds which cost an additonal $6.99. My sandwich had no fries, and the yucca fries came as a side next to the sandwich just like the regular side of fries. When asked, the server was too busy to explain. We sat down with no water, asked the food to be to-go because we had to head back to work after the long wait, but she had no time to give us the box so we ended up eating there and was late to go back to work. Got no water, no service, horrible food, and $20+ for lunch (see pic). Maybe we just really came in in an off day. Fyi-yucca fries there really sucks, $6.99 for 5 small sticks, no dipping mayo or anything offered.

Wow great! Amazing Cuban but the yuccas were divine!!! Very fun spot for food!! It's super good :) this is a place you get to really enjoy your food. Highly recommend. There aren't a lot of tables but the waiters are so friendly and the food is so yummy! A+ I wasn't expecting such a huge Cuban, it was huge! Definitely a winner!

This review is for delivery. I ordered via Door Dash, and the food was delivered within the predicted window. The food was well-packaged. I ordered the vaca frita with white rice and black beans. It did not come with bread, although that was fine with me. The vaca frita was a large portion, but the amount of rice compared to the size of the package was disappointing. The rice was also very oily, with a visible pool of oil under the rice. The black beans were a good portion, although I thought the beans were too bell pepper forward. The vaca frita was excellent -- crispy and meaty, really good with a spritz of lime.I was happy with my limited experience with delivery and would be curious to try the restaurant in-person.

DELICIOUS! One of the few REAL Cuban food restaurants. Home style flavor. Fair prices. Available on Uber eats too which made them one of my favorite lunch spots. Everything is good but their media niche is one of my favorites. You will LOVE their food

Pedro has been our server twice now and he's the sweetest and most helpful. Last time three of us ordered the pork roast dinner and it was amazing and such a great price for the serving. This time we had the same and some ordered Cubans sandwich, garbanzo stew and smoked pork chops. Everything was phenomenal. Highly recommend! Their espresso is delicious too.

This new spot in Tampa just north of 275 on Howard Ave is spotlessly clean, friendly and ready to serve! We parked right out front with no problem. The neighborhood is the next up and coming spot in Tampa, in my opinion. New houses and apartments are being built and old historic buildings arebeing torn down or restored, one by one. Thanks Nick for the hint to come here!Barbara, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Thanks Barbara! We called ahead and got there only 15 minutes before closing time but it was all good! Coladas for the win plus a huge assortment of Cuban food for very reasonable prices. We paid $47 for two fully dressed Cubans which apparently came with fries, two yuca frita, tostones, picadillo, black beans and a huge portion of yellow rice, two wonderful coladas and something else I can't remember now. It's quite a bargain!I'm enjoying 1/4 of the Cuban sandwich the next day and the pork is very flavorful and the sandwich is delicious! These meals will last me for days!Life is good with fresh Cuban coffee and tasty Cuban food!

We ordered the churrasco plate and lechón plate. Not having had Cuban food in a while, we were really craving good typical basic style. That's exactly what we got with sides of white rice and beans and maduros. No complaints. The food was good. Not the best I've had, but it certainly hit the spot. The gentleman that took our order was very polite and friendly. He answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. The restaurant itself was small, quaint, and a bit run down, which was fine. I always enjoy these family style places. We sat outside on the patio. The weather was perfect for it.

Found this gem coming home from Tampa on N.Howard. Lunch specials $7.95 and plenty to eat. Food was amazing, but very busy at 1pm and took about 20 minutes to get to order. Food took about 10-15 minutes, but well worth the wait! We will be back!

I always search for places like Cafe Habana- a small eatery with a decent amount of options on the menu- as they tend to be more authentic. This place did not disappoint. I had the Lechon asada with yellow rice and plantain. Lechon might be basic but it's easy to mess up. I've had it dry and lacking flavor. This place made it just right. The skin was crisp as it should be and each bite was flavorful. The sandwich with ham was also enjoyable. My BF liked that a lot. Also tried their mango smoothie. I'm in constant search of genuine mango flavor and theirs is decent. Still missing the tropical ripe mango flavor (IYKYK) but acceptable. All in all, good portions for the price. I'd frequent this place if I was local.
