This is what "Old Florida" looked like before Mickey Mouse descended and transformed the state! A decades old building and a dirt parking lot. If you were a tourist you wouldn't give it a second glance. You'd probably be heading to the racetrack that hosts the famous 24 Hours of Sebring every year. A little bird told me it had changed hands, so I swooped in for a quick breakfast. That bitch hurricane Irma had caused the previous owner to go belly up. Atmosphere- Two young waitresses gave me bright smiles and a genuine "Hello" as I walked in. A few booths and a few tables, half filled with locals and I noted that everything was spotless.Customer Service- Absolutely excellent! These young ladies really had their act together and moved like a well-oiled machine. Upon inquiring I was told that the new owner also ran Oscar's on Route 27. Food- So I sipped on excellent coffee in a wonderful thick mug and pursued the standard American menu. I went with my usual test at a new breakfast joint and ordered an omelet and hash browns. It was out quickly, and the plate looked well, boring!I tried a couple of bites and everything was cooked properly but under seasoned and I'll say it again, boring. If you like somewhat bland food, you'll be fine with this and I'm sure children would enjoy it, but it was too timid for me.Price Point- I walked up to the counter to cash out and the tab was just under $10. That's too high for what I received. Five minutes away on Route 27 there are at least 6-8 joints where I could get much more food for less $$ and some seasoning! After some thought I'm going to go with three stars because of the cleanliness, great service and the understanding that some folks don't like a little spice in their life!

I have a soft spot for family run local diners with character, as long as the food is good, and preferably homemade. This is a legit no frills spot.I had the Redneck Eggs Benedict: biscuits topped with eggs, bacon, and country white gravy. Home fried potatoes. All homemade.Good coffee, cheery local waitresses.Authentic.

This place is the proverbial hole-in-the-wall. You could drive right past it - but don't!! Everything we've tried so far has been great! Don't miss their sloppy-joes on Wednesday - they sell out!! Definitely a place to try!
