"Based on the favorable reviews, my friend and I decided to have lunch here after working out. I ate here a few years ago, but never made it back. When we walked in, we were the only two in the place, but clearly they do a lot of to-go orders, because the two workers we saw were busy. I ordered the Lebanese plate which consisted of salad, two falafels, a dolma, hummus, baba ghanoush, and your choice of pita bread or pita chips. I love getting combo plates and trying a variety of the food a restaurant has to offer. We wanted fountain drinks, but their machine was out of order, so we went with canned sodas. The food took a while to come out. Not just ours, but pretty much anybody who came in after us waited quite some time for their food too. My platter when it came looked delicious. I liked the salad and hummus, but honestly, the falafel was terrible. They were so dense and hard I could barely choke them down. I don't know if they make them in advance and then just reheat them, but I would never have them here again. I also wish I had chosen the pita bread, not pita chips, because they turned out to be these tiny crunchy pieces that were too little to put any spreads on.The restaurant was relatively clean, but very warm. If I return, I think I'll try an empanada or arepas, because maybe that's where they shine."
"Absolutely loved finding this gem!We were nearby getting some senior photos done for my son, when we checked and found this place nearby on yelp. At first we weren't sure if it was located upstairs or downstairs since the name was on both areas...It was empty but thankfully still open. The AC was blasting, very clean and the ladies were very friendly as we walked in.We had no idea what to order since none of us had Venezuelan food before, we decided to try their Colombian empanadas to start as an appetizer, very good (we got chicken and beef) both equally delicious. For our meals we just picked what sounded good and we were all VERY happy with our choices. Not to mention they were all HUGE portions, we decided to take leftovers home. I went with the patacones with chicken.. it's basically a giant salad with plantains and lots of delicious sauces. I'm so happy with the choice I made and would definitely recommend it! It did not taste like your typical salad, it was very tasty. My son went with the pepito perdigon beef, which is basically a big sandwich with some chips on top, he really enjoyed it as well and had leftovers to take home, he also had the batido de mango with milk which is a mango smoothie with milk instead of water, so good! My boyfriend got the arepa llanera, I was SO jelly, it looked so delicious, it had both chicken and steak, avocado and cheese, he loved it as well and also had leftovers. I think next time I will try that.. we definitely will be back very soon. Mauri was our server and she was great in explaining everything and providing suggestions for us. The price is perfect for their menu options.. highly recommend this restaurant!"
"I'm really glad Arepazo Grill Venezuelan Food Truck Serving Lakeland & Tampa visited our offices in Tampa. We were in the mood for something different to spice up our day! It's only my second time having Venezuelan food aside Nico's Arepas so I'm not an expert but I liked my meal. One of my coworkers who's well versed in Venezuelan food said the food was authentic and gave it his seal of approval as well! Arepazo Grill Venezuelan Food truck is mostly red with a red brick background, the colors of the Venezuelan flag (yellow, blue, and red), and has several pictures of various dishes they serve on the truck including: Tequenos, Cachitos, Empanadas, Cachapas, and Arepas. The Shredded Pork Empanada with Cheese and Black Beans was well Marinated and filling although I'd recommend getting 2 if you're hungry. 8/10The Cachapas Corn Pancakes filled with Cheese had a sweet taste and was pretty good. 8/10 Pabellon Corn Pocket Empanada stuffed with shredded beef, black beans, sweet Plantains, and white cheese was also well Marinated and flavorful. I really liked the house made 3 hot sauces they provided which provided extra flavor. 9/10The food took less than 10 minutes to come out and the lady taking the orders was pretty friendly. They didn't offer hot sauce, so make sure you ask for it! It's definitely worth getting for some extra flavor and an extra kick!"
"This spot, hands down, makes *the* best arepas and chapapas I've ever had. And I only say those items because that's all I've tried here so far. Every single bite of the meal had us making "mmmm" sounds. It's the type of food spot that you crave again the next day, and the next.We found this spot while running errands in the area, and visiting another food truck nearby. It is very easy to drive past, so you need to slow down early and really look out when it's your first time trying to locate it. The truck is on a busy highway, but on your right there's a small parking lot, then building with shops, and directly following that is the entrance to the lot for Arepas donde Flor. Roughly 3-4 cars can fit.Her food is made to order, from scratch, so be patient with the wait -- or order ahead online. Although I will say, everything I've gotten here has been absolutely worth the wait. I mean, after running errands in the area I tried to come back for seconds but they were closed.P.S. Guava juice...........and don't forget that garlic sauce! (*mouth salivating*)"
"Great little food truck! Excellent Venezuelan food!!Owner is there cooking up a storm! Very friendly service too.Price is very very good!"
"Pros:Small but clean cafe. The two ladies were helpful in me deciding what to get.The cafe con leche was very smooth and tasty served in a cute cup with their logo. 4/5The arepa had a lot of meat and had ketchup and some other sauces. It was very flavorful. 4/5Misc: The arepa part is a lot more crispy than I'm used to.Cons:Even though they're open on Sunday, they close at 3 pm.Also, the arepa "patties" are small relative to the meat/lettuce filling. I kind of wished they were bigger. There was more meat than arepa lol.Overall: a great , mom and pop place to get Venezuelan street food!"
"AMAZING!!! My favorite part of my florida trip for sure. incredible food, service, and desserts. Very cozy and a great authentic place."
"I certainly hate to say this but Leno's was very underwhelming to me.First off, I have eaten at a few of the food trucks in this area. It would put some off that the surrounding area is full of weeds, debris and trash. Not exactly the idea cleanliness. With that being said, the area immediately surrounding the food trucks is mowed and clean. There was no one there on a Wednesday afternoon when I stopped by for lunch. I had a pipata which consisted of essentially a chicken sandwich with cheese and sauce and fries. It needed to be eaten with a fork which was promising however the flavor did not deliver. My most favorite component of the meal was the lime, natural sugar cane drink. Not overly sweet not overly tart very refreshing and I would stop by to get this again.Overall I expected more from his food truck sad to say it did not deliver."
"Fast service I ordered the 1 cheese and one beef empanadas. They were excellent. I plan to go back and try the Venezuelan ones made with corn tortillas too. The empanadas are served with both a green and red sauce. Red is a little spicier. Both are great pairings. Really cute decor inside too. Comfortable seating with spanish music."

One of our favorite places to eat latin food lately. The arepas, tequeños and empanadas are amazing! The service is not the fastest but it's ok! And the place is super small which I like! I'll come back for sure!

We experienced this as a food truck at Brew Hub and it paired really well with trying some craft beers. Had no idea how to order but the guys in the truck were pretty helpful. We all got a variety. The empanadas were good, just don't care for the plantains in them. The cachitos with ham and cheese were OK but needed something on it for flavor. The cachapa was quite good with chicken. It is all quite sweet so you have to like that. My husband got the pabellon plate and loved it. He also doctored it all up with the different sauces. Really good overall and again, a perfect base for some tasty drinking too.

Having lived and worked in Caracas, Venezuela, I fell in love with arepas filled with beans and cheese (called 'domino' in Spanish). When I moved to Florida, I searched for a place which made them. We found Arepas Donde Flor several years ago, when the owner was located at the side of the road in Riverview. We've followed her to her new location, and we always go when my son is home from college. Everything is prepared fresh, reasonably priced, and so delicious. Try it!

Cute Venezuelan food truck on Sheldon Rd. We went to the service station and on the same site we saw this cute food truck with lovely seating right next to it. We thought of giving it a try. The lady was very friendly and we even had a little chat. I ordered the chicken and beef empanadas which also came with delicious sauces. I keep going back for more.

"Excelente hamburguesa pollo y los shawarma alucinantes podría repetir varias veces en la semana. Servicio rápido y eficiente sobre todo si le pides cebolla. Ambiente no me molesta agradable a pesar del reggueton a todo volumen."
"Great little place that serves up sone pretty awesome latin street food and classic American faves. I was super curious to check this place out and get me an order pf chamo bites, their namesake, as well as their milkshake, which I don't normally do, but they had me at Nutella. Since I live in Town n Country, there's a lot of Latin restaurants around me, and I may not be well versed with it, but I'm slowly learning. So I guess chamo is small little corn cakes that are deep fried and covered with all kinds of delicious toppings. When I bit into it, it was crisp on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, reminding me of funnel cake. If you get the chamo bites, please note the order is quite large as shown in my picture, so either plan on sharing it or let it stretch for a few days. I ate all but three and froze them for later. It cones with a side of delicious cream cheese for dipping. They make great milkshakes too. I would recommend the nutella one. Its nice creamy and very generous with nutella. They ate open late so its perfect for a late night noshing."
"Being from Miami, we had these type of Venezuelan spots everywhere. This brought us back to a time where we'd be leaving a club, and needed the most delicious, greasy, cheesy, flavorful meal, to combat a potential nasty hangover. The culinary geniuses at Mr. Pepito have not only cooked us a delicious meal, but, they found a way to take us down memory lane.Get yourself a cachapa a Malta, and enjoy the ride."
"Sleeper hit! I don't even usually care for arepas but my food was phenomenal. I ordered the Chicken Mechado ($13.39) via Uber eats. Was ready very quickly, amazingly packed, everything cooked to perfection. Lady who handled my order was really friendly. I'd suggest the food truck improve their signage game though, so it's easier to find on foot."
"Fantastic! Ordered a beef arepa and the sweet corn pancake (capatcha). Both were amazing and HUGE! I ordered it as I was getting on the highway so I didn't take a pic, but the menu pic below is spot on. Definitely authentic Venezuelan food. Very clean and spacious. I will definitely stop in again!"
"I don't know about authenticity of the food but I loooove chamo bites. Lol. The cachapa and empanadas are soooo good. The cachapa is Made from corn flour and have pieces of corn in it. The plain cheese is my fave. I could eat these every week. They have some seating inside and out. But like all krates it's limited. Unlike other reviews, I had no trouble communicating with the cashier. Not sure if this got better since those reviews. The orders do take some time to come out but their ALWAYS PIPING hot and delicious."
"This place only has one year running and do it well Food is very good ! waitress works so friendly. They have live music week end the price is average"
"One of my buddies was staying in the Kissimmee area so I went down to hang out. When it was time for lunch, he said he missed Venezuelan food. I don't know any restaurants in Kissimmee, and absolutely no Venezuelan ones. So, Yelp to the rescue and after a brief search, we found Amai. Two things about this place, 1) the strength of this place is in selling bulk or catering, and 2) the food is delicious. Entering this shop shows a well decorated space, clean, minimalist, and with lots of whites. A fridge had some frozen foods, and lots of breads and take out items. There are desserts and small pastries on the displays, and a large menu on the wall. I kept looking at the menu because everything was a catering combo, so I was confused. The person helping us explained to us that everything is made to order, and if we wanted to order from the display we wouldn't have to wait. But my friend wanted tequeños, the little cheese sticks wrapped in dough, so we ordered tequeños to be made (5 regular and 5 guava/cheese), and we got chicken pasteles that were ready, and ham/cheese empanadas to be fried. We also picked up some desserts and drinks.Bottomline: everything was delicious. These are some really good tequeños, really good pasteles, and the empanadas are good (not a fan of corn empanadas). The sauces to dip the pastries are also phenomenal. The pavlova was amazing, and the key lime pie was good. Even the drinks were amazing. We got a lot of food for about $40, and what was made to order came out fast, like any other fast food joint. I have been lucky enough to have found really good Venezuelan desserts, when I lived in South Florida where the Venezuelan community is huge, but I haven't ventured into their cuisine much. All I can say is that this stuff was really good. I will surely stop by next time I am in that area, I have a friend in mind whom I can recruit for my next foodie adventure."
"WOW! This place was so amazing. The service was spectacular. The food couldn't be better...the temperature was so hot I knew it was fresh, the taste was out of this world and the service was impeccable. The serving sizes are more than enough. It's a cute little food joint with an authentic vibe. It's hard to find places like this that are so genuine. You must try this place if you're reading this."
"Everything on this menu looked and sounded amazing! I ordered the 3 mini arepas. I ordered one with pork and Gouda, one with shrimp and white cheese, and one with reina pepiada and white cheese. These were amazing!Service was excellent! Would definitely come back and try more of the menu items!"
"I came by late at night when I found them on the way home from work I was taking that day. While they were about to close, they were still super accommodating and the food was fresh and delicious. Already dreaming about my next visit!"
"This is one of our favorite places for Latin food. The pachangas and patacon are always hot and filled to the brim with cheesy meaty goodness! The arepas are toasty and fresh. All of meats are always fresh and well seasoned. We really have never had anything that wasn't good or fresh here. Don't know what to have for dinner? Want something different? Craving good Latin flavors?Pachenga Arepa it is!We will return over and over again to this location for the quality yummy food. Go eat here!"
"Estos tequeños son lo mejor de lo mejor. El 31 de diciembre había olvidado hacer un pedido y ellos a última hora aunque estaban cerrados y solo haciendo entregas me permitieron comprar los que estaban congelados una solución a un tremendo problema y se los agradezco"
"The food here was okay. It was not what I expected for being Venezuelan street food especially compared to food I have tried from other Venezuelan spots in the area. The hamburger I ordered tasted like just a plain hamburger I could have made at home."
