"We discovered HOTT MESS while I (my sidekick Law just kept saying yum or not for me as I did due diligence for our wknd in Tampa). We were going for the Worlds Largest Food Truck Festival. I knew with 208 trucks and so many choices I wanted to try all the trucks that truly offered something that had a UNIQUE TWIST. So I looked for every truck on FB or the Web/Yelp/UP, many nights of food porn let me tell you.I had my GREEN LIGHT list and my LOOK AT list. Finding HOTT MESS on FB gave me chance to see some of their food as well as a sample of their menu.They were MY first truck to visit.They had many wonderful choices that day, but I ordered the Tots Ziki...HOT, CRISP tots topped with all the WONDERFUL makings of a GYRO. Not only was it a good looking dish, it was one of the best uses of tator tots that we have ever had.But its not just the food that will draw you in, its the GREAT ENERGY that the crew has;Friendly and Creative. "We stopped in after we got back home post hurricane Milton. We were happy to see that Salty Soul was up and running no worse for ware. We sat outside like we always do al a two-top. We were in the mood for fish tacos so I ordered one blackened fish and one shrimp. My wife ordered one grilled fish. Both came with a generous portion of chips and salsa. We also ordered the nacho cheese sauce to dip the chips. The food was great, the beer was cold and the service was friendly and attentive. We love this place."

It's a Michelin bib gourmand restaurant and it's a sister company to Rocca, a Michelin one star so you know the quality is there!We opted to sit at the 'bar' which actually was the kitchen counter...but I preferred this! It was fun to watch behind the scenes. Our server was great, I saw her multi-tasking too. All the staff seemed to be on top of it. Coco margarita- delicious. Tastes like a pina colada non-frozen! So good I got it twice. They have an alcohol free guava horchata that sounds yummy I wanna try next time. Guacamole- standard but atleast no one ingredient was too much or too little. The chips were the star though- huge tostadas which are homemade and delicious.Alitas- wings but 6/10, the sauce was too sweet.Carne asada taco- 9/10. This was both our fav taco, everything was perfect. Carnitas taco- 9/10. The soft pork and the crunch of the chicharron was a great combo..and the melted cheese yum. Brisket taco- 5/10. The nuts made it a little sweeter and not what I was expecting.Flan- 8/10. My husband LOVED this flan like it's the best he had. It's your normal flan with an orange zest flavor. "My wife and I brought our sons to Juan's on a Saturday right after they opened, and my first impressions were, "Wow, it's immaculate in here." We were the day's first customers and were quickly greeted by the folks behind the counter. The menu is simple, so it didn't take long to figure out what we wanted. I ordered a chicken burrito, and my wife ordered a burrito bowl with steak and a drink and chips for each of us.The drink area was also spotless and well-organized. We got our drinks, and by the time we returned to the counter, our food was ready. It's easy to compare Juan's with Moes and Chipotle because those are the two "big guys" that compete with Juan's. However, I won't do that because there's no comparison. The food was better, fresher, and had more significant portions than the other guys. Additionally, it was cheaper, the service was better, and the store was spotless. Even the bathrooms were well taken care of.I don't really have any complaints about Juans, but I wish they gave you more chips or allowed you to return and get more. I would also like to see a few more salsa options, but all that is mostly a personal preference.So anyway, I'm sorry Moes, but you're dead to me. At least the Moes in Oldsmar. While delicious, the store is always dirty, but that's another review."

"Tacos El Chapo is located inside of a Shell gas station. But don't let that fool you, the food is incredible. It's like they took a food truck concept, and parked it inside of the convenience store! Orders are made fresh, and the flavors were robust. The kitchen area is small, but kept extremely clean. The staff was very pleasant, and the cooks diligently created each item with care. I ordered a pork burrito, which I would definitely order again. It was a very large burrito, big enough to split with a friend. The pork was tender and flavorful. The burrito was stuffed with the best rice I have had in a long time. So much flavor! There was a good balance of pork, rice, beans, lettuce, and sour cream in the burrito. The flour tortilla was perfect, slight crunch, while still soft inside. I even had a churro for desert (crisp outside, soft inside, all delicious)"

"This is about 3.5 stars for restaurant but 4 stars for the meat market. The Mexican restaurant and grocery concept has been use in south Tampa. But for this area is the first. The reason they are 3.5 stars is their taco is not the cheapest. Food truck may be cheaper than them. In the same time, their overhead is higher too. I got the tripe soup, carnitas, pastor, lengua, and barbacoa tacos. The taco come with meat and tortilla. One positive thing is they bring the onion and cilantro for you to add your own. They also supply the lime to squeeze in. The green and red sauce is provided. I like their tripe soup because they are cook to soft. The meat choices is marinated and good for you to buy home and cook yourself. This is something new. They have the churrasco season with the spice. The price is great per pound since they did the work for you and ready to cook."

"I'm not going to lie I was shocked at how good the tacos were from El Senor De Los. Based off pictures from previous reviews I assumed it wasn't authentic, but the salsa they give you on the side says otherwise. The first time I ordered from here I tried the steak tacos but the shrimp are just as fire. The grilled onions and peppers they give you on the side are kind of sweet and give the tacos a nice balance of sweet and spicy.The churros were also really good and I loved the fact that they topped them with fresh strawberries."

These have to be some of the best corn tortillas I've had, but seriously I had a difficult time tasting anything else. The hot sauce is really spicy but it's good. Each taco is $2 and they only take cash."

I also got an order of three empanadas to go for my son. This place is very small, not at all fancy, you order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table shortly after. "I have had this place on my radar for over a year. Last night , my friend decided to host his birthday celebration here so I finally made it to Tacos El Primo. It is inside the Rainbow Mart on Westshore Blvd. therefore, there is no ambiance . They have 2-3 tables. Most of the business is take-out. They put up enough tables to accommodate our group last night of about 30. They were cranking out the food. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salsa, guacamole, chips, queso, homemade fruit juices , etc. It was fantastic! This place is legit. Run don't walk! Insider tip, they get slammed at lunch. Hit them up before or after the rush. Also, I hear they opened up a second location on Henderson."

"Garcia's Taco truck is open late and sells mainly tacos, with various meats, beef, chicken, pork, with cilantro, onions, and hot sauce. All tacos are all $1.50 each. Even though its a food truck they are a permanent pit stop for tacos. They have a large picnic area for those that want to eat there, but most seem to be to go orders.The food is cooked fresh to order, and comes with a large portion, and inside a warm soft tortilla. I wish they had more options, as I do not like onions, and would like tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce. The green hot sauce has kick to it and is hot, so use sparingly. The meat was cooked as it should be, tasted very good, and was a large portion. But was sort of plain tasting just being meat and sauce in the soft shell. The price is excellent, and the food tastes good. Give them a try and see what you think. For a small food truck, there were 3 people working the truck when I was there, and it was slow, as we were the only customers at that time."

If you pass a red/green/gray Gas station, you've driven too far.You order , wait about 10 minutes, and when your beeper beeps, you get your food. There is a small cart that has napkins and plastic cutlery.I ordered 1 Carne Asada burrito ($12). It came with a small serving of tortilla chips. The burrito was warm after 15 minutes. I appreciate that the burrito was intact and even during eating. Many fall apart like wet tissue paper and are messy, but Chapo was solidly packed.And there was no rice unlike the big chains!The steak was well seasoned and there was a good amount of veggies/pico.4/5Cons:Closed Sunday fullyIt is fully exposed, so you have to brave the elements or get takeout.Overall: Pretty good. The owners are super friendly and so attentive, if you are eating there. Husband and wife truck and the service they provide is nice. It's on the corner of McKay and hillsborough ave. So it's pretty loud just because you are next to the main road. There is limited seating for eating there. One table to be exact. However, eating in your car is the better option to avoid the flies lol. At $3.50 a taco, they are a good size and punch so much flavor! Torta's, Burritos, and quesadillas are also offered at around $11-$12. Great aguas, juices, are provided as well.I've been here once before and honestly, forgot how delicious these tacos were. On this trip I ordered 3 tacos; one pastor (pork), carnitas (pulled pork), and one campechano (steak and chorizo).Perfectly cooked, great flavors and all at a great price!"

"Finally!!! A delicious taco spot in the heights area. On this visit, I ordered 2 tacos at $3.25 each. One al pastor (marinated pork and pineapple) and one carnitas (pulled pork). Given that they are a small food truck, the food they do make out of the space, is really good. They were pretty fast in getting the food out. "Found a new spot in a strip center in Dunedin. Fusion street eatery. It's close to downtown Dunedin. Parking is easy. But enough of location location location. We love anything birria and this spot popped up on FB because they spy on you. I'm glad they were spying on us this day because it lead us here. We had a few servers stop by the table to ensure we didn't need anything, so the service was absolutely unmatched. Food arrived quickly and was well portioned for the Lunch menu, but not lacking at all. "5 star! This place doesn't look like much. Its nestled between a bunch of odd shops in a strip mall; the dining area is small with just 3 or 4 booths but the food is amazing and absolutely Authentic Mexican. Just like their sign says "no fake food".We visited Tacos California and ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and green salsa, the elote cup and a horchata. The hostess at the counter was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. She brought out our food when it was ready, nice and warm. The aroma was delicious just like every bite that followed. We also tried the elote. First time eating it prepared this way (not on a cob) so the texture was different cause you're missing the step of biting into a cob but the flavor was good and included all the toppings of mayonnaise, cheese and chile. The horchata was perfectly prepared with a nice amount of cinnamon. We definitely plan on coming back to try more of the options they have on the menu. They also have fresh fruit smoothies and fruit cups."
