"The Bait House in Clearwater is fantastic! The food is super fresh and delicious. The drunken shrimp is to die for, and the ahi tuna was incredibly fresh. The place has a great vibe and friendly staff. There's limited seating, so you might have to wait, but it's totally worth it. A must-visit spot for amazing seafood!"
"We moved from Nashville to Tampa early during COVID and became hooked on fresh caught grouper. Big Ray's has some of the best grouper the Bay Area has to offer.Wither at their Interbay or Downtown location this place never fails.Fast, friendly service every time. You have to try the lobster corn dog if feeling adventurous!"

"Let me say.. ALL the food was delicious. I can't come to Clearwater Beach and not have seafood. We started with the Crab Cake, it was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Add a littleLemon and their sweet and spicy sauce. Then we had the fresh caught Grouper Sandwich with all the fixings and the Grouper Tacos. You could tell that Grouper was caught just hours before.. so fresh. We had options of seating but, we chose the rooftop deck overlooking the beach. Best decision, the view of the water and sunset view. Our server Sarah was attentive and gave really good suggestions for food. Our service was quick and courteous. I say.. when at Clearwater Beach, stop on by Crabbys and have a YELPING GOOD TIME !"
"I finally tried this place out after seeing it while walking around safety harbor. I stopped by during happy hour and ordered drinks and tuna nachos. The tuna nachos were really good, the chips were crunchy, and the tuna and sauces were super flavorful. It was a bit pricey, but the large portion and flavor made up for it. They also have live music in the evenings, which made the experience even better. I will definitely come back again!"
"Stoped for lunch. Very very authentic. We ordered the drunken shrimp and the special of the day. haddock, fries and coleslaw. At 2:20 the tables were 1/2 full. The bar with locals was 90% The shrimp was so good and the sauce I could drink. It was wonderful. But the fish (haddock) and fries were even better. The was a wonderful lunch for two hungry travelers.Susan was wonderful. I would let her order form me the next time I come. She was really great"
"I enjoyed having Liz as our server. Very pleasant and professional. The food hit the spot as always. Must come hungry!"
"Consistently serve good food and with great service. I've never been disappointed over past 3 years."
"Let me start by thanking the staff at Salty's Island Bar and Grille. Felix, Steve, Kyle, Alex and the rest of the crew for making my experience a delightful one. This place is a must if you want great food and Drinks, with great live music playing. TV's at the bar to watch a game. Two floors with great views. When in Clearwater due drop by this wonderful establishment as I did, you will be glad you did as well. Special thanks to Jay!"
"Checking in was a little iffy with the hostess lack of customer service and smile...but the vibe quickly got turned around when we found open seating for us and the dogs! We were instantly treated like family and the dogs were immediately provided cold water and treats. The food was down right AMAZING! A little pricy but I promise you it's worth it. This is my new Sunday brunch spot for sure. Would love to work myself through their menu eventually hehe"
"I have been to Parkshore several times now, and I have to say it has not once disappointed. It's in a fantastic location right in downtown St. Pete very close to the pier. Great area to walk around and then come for an equally great meal.Inside the restaurant is pretty upscale and much nicer than you'd expect from the outside. Honestly, between the name and the look from outside this is never a place that would catch my eye, but I'm glad that I decided to try it one fateful day.Everything I've tried has been so high quality. In my most recent visit I got salmon pasta, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, it was marvelous. The service is good and everyone is friendly, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. You can make reservations, which is probably recommended for when they get busy. And inside their bar area is pretty cool too. Again, so unexpected from just a glance at the outside, but don't be fooled by this book cover, because the inside is certainly more than meets the eye!"
"Good food, large portions and reasonably priced. Lots of options and service was great. We were happy to have leftovers for later!"
"I go to dinner with friends once a week, and since Hurricane Milton (last month) we've been going to restaurants on the beach that were impacted but now reopened. What a find "Rick's Reef" was. Everything they serve is fresh, and they make their own sauces. I had the grouper and it was delicious. One friend had the she-crab soup and fish spread, the other friend a kabobs and a side of french fries with lobster sauce (I tasted one ...WOW).I loved the restaurant. Exactly what you expect a beach restaurant to be..rustic with open bar and both outdoor and indoor seating. Waitress was friendly (without being over-the-top annoying friendly) and attentive. This place is definitely going on our rotation of regular spots to go to."

SUPER GOOD!! we were a bit hesitant to go because its outdoors and it was windy, but still went because reviews were good. our server, sheri was so kind and was talking to others about her life and it sounded incredible. the chicken sandwich (recommend grilled) doesn't even taste like chicken it tastes 10x better. the BREAD was SUPER GOOD. the burger was also very good! i think this restaurant deserves more than a 5, judging the hospitality and FRESH INGREDIENTS!!!! **aftermath (a couple hours later): we were very dehydrated because we realized the food is VERY SALTY!!

tl;dr don't miss out on the blackened grouper or fried key lime pie at this popular, hole-in-the-wall seafood shackThe waters of Tampa are widely known for their abundant grouper, and the nearby Madeira Beach is the self-described "grouper capital of the world." Unsurprisingly, grouper (especially the grouper sandwich) is ubiquitous across Tampa restaurants, and few do it better than Big Ray's Fish Camp. Tampa native Nick Cruz came armed with family recipes when he opened the decidedly casual seafood joint back in 2015. He quickly received local acclaim, and the restaurant has more recently been featured on the Food Network. The original Ballast Point location is a standalone, cinder block shack, painted with a grouper-themed mural along the side. The small, square room is decorated with marine and nautical motifs, from a mounted grouper head to shabby wooden signs. Polaroids are clipped to the well-worn shiplap wall to the left, and the menu is displayed on a chalkboard across the back. Stainless steel chairs are pressed up against the mismatched wooden tables and counters. Reggae tunes blend with the sizzle from the kitchen. My family arrived for early dinner on a drizzly weekday evening, and we were the only ones there. We ordered the Blackened Grouper Sandwich, Caesar Salad with Blackened Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy, and Fried Key Lime Pie. My hand-sized grouper filet was expertly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The homemade tartar sauce was pleasantly heavy on the pickles -- it's a shame that the flavors were somewhat drowned out by the massive sesame seed bun. The butterflied chicken breast was just as well-seasoned as the grouper, but the salad was "Caesar" only in name: it consisted of the same tomato and lettuce rings that otherwise would be used on the sandwiches, served beside a prepackaged Caesar dressing. Meanwhile, my sister loved her po' boy, which packed 8 large, lightly battered, flash-fried shrimp. The French roll was soft and chewy, in contrast to the crisp veggies and shrimp. Between our sides, the lightly battered, piping hot, pepper-forward onion rings were the clear winner. The fries, meanwhile, were mostly standard steakhouse variety, apart from the addition of parmesan. Lastly, the pie (which was frozen, battered, and fried) was enjoyably warm and crispy on the outside, but creamy and cold on the inside. The sweetened condensed milk on the side proved to be the perfectly sugary complement.Service was laid-back and friendly, but the restaurant seemed understaffed during an unexpected dinner rush right after we ordered. Additionally, each item was made-to-order, but our first entree arrived 20 minutes before the last, with nothing more than a shrug. Although seemingly geared toward takeout, at nearly $70 for everything, Big Ray's certainly isn't everyday dinner. Nonetheless, the blackened grouper and fried key lime pie are must-try dishes worthy of the hype.

Great location as it is walking distance from the Clearwater beach access. We came in for lunch and started with an order of the coconut shrimp bites, they were so good I could not even get a photo because they were eaten so fast. They are paired with a piña colada dipping sauce which was phenomenal. The mahi tacos were delicious and the fish did not have a fish taste which was great. Shrimp tacos were my personal favorite as they had a fresh crunch to the breading and the boom boom sauce was out of this world. The fries were crunchy and I recommend trying them. The braised beef tacos were alright I wouldn't recommend them, and would suggest ordering something else off their menu. Our server was great, as we sat on the outside patio and the wait times were normal and quick. A must try spot in the area.

The food was good! I got the lobster grilled cheese and lobster bisque - it was delicious! I also really enjoyed the hush puppies as someone originally from North Carolina. My friend ordered the crab legs and was expecting more of a seafood boil/cajun style. This was not the case, but she said they were okay for steamed crab legs. There was live music, which I did really love, if we weren't sitting directly in front of the performer. It made it difficult to talk easily, but good performance otherwise. It was pretty busy on a Thursday night with a short 20 minute wait before we were seated.

We've been hearing about Da Sesto's for awhile and decided to give a try to celebrate a friend who was turning 87. After going, I was debating what kind of review to give, so I'll just give facts. We had a reservation for 6:45 and arrived about 5 minutes prior. We were told we had to wait a bit even though there were 4, four tops open. While we stood there, other folks came in and were seated right away and we had to wait 20 minutes till we were seated. If it was just me, I would have left but it was our friends birthday and she was excited to be there. Finally seated and it seemed like everything took a very long time. A long time to get our drinks, a long time to order, a long time to get bread and salads. Long time for just about everything. When the entrees finally came, after being there an hour and a half, they looked great. I had ordered the Pappardelle Mamma and it was salty to the point of really spoiling a great dish. One of the two older ladies we were with, ordered a carbonara, which came out very dry, very salty. Not like a carbonara at all. Our friend, whose birthday it was got the shrimp in lemon sauce and was enjoying it, so I kept quiet not to spoil the evening. By the time we got our check, we had been there 2 and 1/2 hours. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I think it might have been just an off night for the place, considering all the other great reviews but I've been to many incredible reviewed restaurants in the states and in many other countries but not had this experience. I could tell my dish would have been fantastic if not for the salt issue but the extended waits for everything can't be ignored. It seemed like it could have been avoided or resolved pretty easy but that didn't happen. That said...I'm not sure I want to go back...

Food and service was exceptional! Drinks were very good and the presentation sets the bar.The vanilla rum butter sauce that comes with the fried grouper deserves praise on its own, takes the dish to another level and gives it that extra dimension it would of been lacking without it. I have never had better cooked fries, crisp and well seasoned, perfect consistency. You cannot go wrong here, we will stop here every time without hesitation

"Once again Mystic Fish did not disappoint. We were seated on time for our 6PM reservation. Our friend Bruce was celebrating his birthday, and so was I! Tonya was a fabulous waitress. She took our drink orders & quickly returned with what we ordered. She gave us time to catch up with each other, and look over the menu, before she returned to take our dinner selections. Everything was cooked properly and tasted divine. Husband had the short ribs and mashed potatoes, and I had the Mahi with asparagus & mashed potatoes. Our friends had Hogfish and another fish and neither left anything on their plates! Tonya brought Bruce & me two small dessert selections with a candle in just one of the two. No embarrassing song or fuss. Bruce got the crème brûlée and brownie. I had a key lime pie and cobbler. We each enjoyed what we got. So sinfully delicious. We will be back, and hope to try a different entree when we return!"
"The stuffed grouper was insanely good. Got it with rice instead of grits. Had no complaints about the meal. Very happy with the service as well."
"Surprised it got such low ratings! I thought the food, service, and atmosphere were 10/10 overall. Came here on a Sunday and we were able to sit by the water and they had live music! I was able to bring my dog too. I will definitely be back here. What I ordered: - Local Smoked Fish Dip- Spicy Tuna Nachos: Tuna poke, pickled jalapeño and habanero tobiko over wonton chips with wasabi aioli and kabayaki. - Mussels: Black mussels sautéed in wine, garlic, onion, tomato, herbs and lemon butter sauce. Served with cheese bread. - Crunch Grouper NuggetsFresh grouper dipped in beer and rolled in crunched corn flakes, served with key lime tartar. - The Wedge: Crisp iceberg with crumbled applewood bacon, plum tomato slices and Duke's double cheese dressing. - Shrimp Tempura: Crisp shrimp, volcano sauce, avocado and smelt roe."
"Great place to grab a bite in Clearwater.I heard from a friend that this place is always packed before performances so make a review. However, for a random Saturday at around 2 p.m. there were tons of tables open (I know, not prime lunch time so that could have been part of it). They have a lot of seating outside since the road in front of it is blocked off. Still outside seating had a lot of sun so even though it was a nice day I opted for inside. I started with their French Onion soup. I got the bigger size and it is still a good starter soup. I shared it with my husband which is why I got the bigger size, but I think it is reasonable for one person to order it alone. Then for my entree I got the Lobster Caesar Salad. There was a large amount of lobster on it, which I really enjoyed. Overall it was a great salad and I like the extra oomph the lobster gave it. This is a casual environment so you can definitely wear jeans. Overall I really enjoyed this place and I will definitely come back."
"The Casa Carnevale menu is amazing! Had the Linguine Granchio and finished off with the Biscoff Gelato. All parts equally amazing. Have a LOT of fun and sit at the pasta table in the heart of the restaurant!"
"Amazing little find loved all the options on the menu. Recommend sitting outside great for big groups"
"I visit this place every time I'm in Clearwater Beach, and it never disappoints. The ambiance is fantastic--spacious open seating with great views, and the live music really adds to the experience. The food is excellent--generous portions and full of flavor. I had the grouper sandwich, a Clearwater staple, and it was both fresh and delicious. The chocolate cheesecake was incredible as well!As for the service, the staff is friendly, attentive, and very accommodating.Would go back again, for sure."
"Food service view is amazing You can get almost anything and the seafood is spectacular"
"Yummy, we started with ceviche and chips which went quickly. Our meals quickly followed and were fantastic. I had salmon with sweet potato mash and asparagus. I can't recall what my co-worker had but cleaned his plate quickly. The staff was very friendly and greatly informative to aid us in our selections. We sat on the patio with fans which made it a very enjoyable meal."
"Ozona Blue is almost in the realm of "too good to be true." The first time my parents ever took me here at a young age, I specifically remember them trying to trigger excitement within me telling me "This place is different." Upon hearing so, I looked up Ozona Blue on google and deciphered that it had a pool and hot tub. When I discovered this, I ignorantly assumed either the food would be garbage, or the prices outrageous. However, it is almost comical how untrue this is- almost to the point of assuming they are losing money. It almost feels like a scam to go to this luxurious restaurant and pay very mediocre prices. However, this blessing is one which must be taken advantage of. The appetizers here are some of the bests in the world. The calamari, shrimp and wings are the big three in my eyes, but you cannot go wrong regardless. Additionally, no matter what meal you order, it is cooked to a supreme quality, and it magnifies the vacation-type environment that you can literally get in the water while you wait for your food. When I am in Florida, there is no place I look forward to attending more than Ozona Blue- because it provides a true vacation experience beyond simply food."
"When we initially walked into the dining room I was immediately turned off by the overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes from the casino. The food and service however were excellent!!! Every single thing we ate was delicious and well prepared. Our server and his assistant were very tentative. For those reasons I would return. I would think that such a high end restaurant could somehow figure out how to keep the place smelling good and not like smoke. Also, it's extremely hard to get a reservation and yet the restaurant was about half full the entire time we were there."
"Come here for the food. People must recognize that this is one of the top places to get dinner at Clearwater Beach. At 6:30 p.m. on a Friday there was a 20 minute wait (which was pretty accurate). They do take your phone number so you can walk around while you wait, you just need to hightail it back there in five minutes, so don't go far. In contrast, we stopped by The Spotted Donkey next and there was no wait, so this place is popular. I understand why, the food all looked amazing. We were restaurant hopping so we only got two Grand Margaritas (which is their version of a skinny margarita) and a half order of E Z Peel Shrimp, which we got sauteed in olive oil and garlic. The shrimp was fantastic. A half order is pretty small, it's definitely an appetizer portion. The drinks were so/so. The drink menu is not your craft cocktail place. The drinks actually reminded me of college, pretty basic and you can get buckets of drinks if you want. I'd come here for the food and go elsewhere for drinks. They had live music when we were there and the singer was really good. That was a nice touch. This place is casual where you stop for good food and a good time. I appreciated the laid back atmosphere and our server was very nice. I'll definitely come back here again."
"It's definitely a must-go! We thought we wanted to carry it out, but we figured out quickly why they don't allow their food to be put in a box! There is tremendous love and heart in every delicious morsel! The atmosphere was as fantastic as the food!"
"The food and service were fantastic. We ordered a pizza and the lasagna and the both were spot on. It reminded me of food from back home (NY). Mars gave us exceptional service. We will be back"
"With a desire to sit outside the reserved table took a little longer than expected, but that was okay. It was good to start at the bar and be called over when it was ready. Sitting outside on a Saturday night in April had the bonus of listening to the wedding party still going on full tilt below. The CAESAR - chopped baby romaine, shaved parmesan, tomato confit, brioche croutons, reggiano tuile, housemade dressing, to start was amazing. I have never had tomato confit like that before. Wow!For my main I had the Gulf Grouper - roasted corn & poblano risotto, foraged mushrooms, artichokes, heirloom tomato, aged goat gouda, lobster béarnaise which was perfect. Plus, I had a small taste of the CHILEAN SEA BASS - pan-seared, spaghetti squash, scampi butter also at the table. Though I still preferred mine you couldn't go wrong with either choice.Overall, from start to finish it was a great experience and service outside was excellent."
"Our waitress Karina was terrific. She had a lot of the food knowledge. Exceptional key lime pie made on location. I'm kind of a key lime pie connoisseur. This is arguably the best key lime pie I've had. Great live music and atmosphere."
"Love our local restaurants, and this one is a gem!! We sat in the patio area and had some tasty oysters, some yummy alligator bites, and a nice salad to complement our meal. Topped off with a delish pumpkin ale and it was pretty solid Sunday. We've been here before, and we'll be here again. Take it from the locals, this spot won't disappoint"
"Love the food and the calming atmosphere of water view. Very experienced servings and a manageable person frequently checking on guests. Super great Happy Hour menu with 1/2 price apps and drink specials,"
"Driving from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa, we were looking forward to a lunch stop for catfish and hush puppies. We usually go to Catfish Country, but decided to try Crazy Fish as it was a bit closer. The dining environment is not great. There is a smell that reminded me of camping; but it's not really bad. You kinda get nose blind to it by the time food arrives. The service was excellent and very friendly. The catfish is lightly breaded, not greasy, flavor was good; but could use some more seasoning. It's hard to get flavorful fish when frying. The French fries were the best part. Both regular and sweet potato fries were excellent.I was disappointed that they no longer have clam strips or clam chowder on the regular menu. The oysters I saw looked good and they brand their own hot sauce that you can buy if you like it.Overall, I'd say we had a good lunch; but not good enough to return."
"Do not judge a book by its cover. This place looks dated on the outside and is small on the inside thus creating long wait times BUT the food is absolutely fantastic! Best Steak I've had anywhere in Tampa including Bern's!"
"After a quick trip to Costco this was an easy spot to grab a bite. We all had something different and the food was fresh and mostly tasty. I had three tacos, fish, shrimp and Carnitas. The Carnitas was kind of dry but the shrimp was super yummy. I also enjoyed a piña colada even though it was not top shelf. We all would visit again."
"YES!! Kalbi plate was delicious, mac salad was delicious, spam musubi was delicious! Go eat here. I only wish they had poi.Service was awesome. Food is cooked to order so it comes out piping hot and it's not instant."
"Good food, view and service!! Solid breakfast spot on the water. We also had a large group of 11! Will be back again"
