I love the General Tso's chicken and they make some of the best fried rice you will ever have. The owner and staff are great and appreciate customers. After just a couple visits they know exactly what you want and any special requests. I also must add that their egg rolls are top notch. It is a small place with just a couple tables, so maybe plan for takeout and enjoy this yummiliciousness at home."

We tried the Carne Asada and Quesadilla. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned and authentically Mexican, served with grilled cactus, pepper, onion, beans, and rice. Quesadilla was equally delicious served with salad, beans, and rice. Great portion sizes. The ambiance is clean, lively, and very nicely decorated with all the furniture and walls covered in artwork and murals. The service was quick and attentive. I will absolutely be back!"

(Hint Mike). They have specials every night of the week it seems. You can eat here for cheap. The wings on Saturday can't be beat in either flavor or price (39¢ wings is unheard of). The wait staff is fantastic. I've been waited on by every one (I think) and have never had an issue. Highly recommended eating here."

It literally felt like an orgasm in my mouth.I learned about this spot thanks to an friend of mine so I made it my mission to give them a try. It's in the same plaza as DD's discount off of Hillsborough. What I truly loved about them is that the wings are naked, not breaded. So for my keto or low carb folks this is a guilt free meal for sure. I ordered hot , although, there's a million flavors to choose from. While you can find pricing online, they have daily specials upon arrival. So that's a perk for sure! Also after you order you can hang out inside until your food is ready as it's kind of a mini convenience store. Think one stop shop and that's exactly what they are at tasty's!I promise you that you will not want to return to your previous wing spot. I promise you that you will crave think of these wings daily. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Now I cannot speak for the other food items but those naked wings are the truth!"

Fried seafood is one of their favorite food. Parking is kind of limited. The seat down table also limited if you want to eat there. Many people ordered to go. We got the fried conch as appetizer. This is my first time to have fried conch. The coating is good. We also got the oyster and fish combo box. The oyster is in good pieces. We like the fried shrimp. It was delicious. The fish can have a choice like Basa, tilapia, salmon or mullet. For fried food I like to eat it there. There is a wait after ordering. I don't mind with fresh fried seafood. It is good to eat there instead of take home."

My choice of sides were Fries and Corn on the cob. As always I'm completely honest, so I will say the fish fillets I received were about half the size of what I ever remember getting. But, it's been years since I was able to visit any Captain D's AND things have changed drastically since then! The fish was delicious, no change in crispness or taste. The hush puppies excellent. Fries and corn just right. I've gotta mention Lisa again! She is a whirlwind of activity! Her multi-tasking really impressed me. She was taking orders at the register AND from the drive-through! Talking to customers face to face and in their cars. She came out to clean and tidy up the dining area. She double-checked diners desires. She was the epitome of polite! Steven B. "My home is in Highlands County and the biggest restaurateur in the county owns three wildly diverse restaurants and this is one of them. I've eaten here many times, but this time my meal was exceptional!Arriving- This place is out in the boondocks of Avon Park! Trust your GPS to get you started. Once you are closing in there is excellent signage. Of course, you're parking at the clubhouse and there is a decent lot. Watch out for golf carts!Atmosphere- This is a golf club restaurant that is open to the public. It's a big, bright, airy place with two large rooms and a beautiful bar. As many of the customers are just off the golf course, it's very casual. It has quite a few TVs for catching a game but it's definitely not a sports bar. Customer Service- Our server was a bit of a mix. She was very new, very nice, but lacking in knowledge. With a little time, I think she'll be great.Food- A combo of unique and classic American fare. You've got your burgers, chicken parm and alfredo dishes. There is a selection of flatbreads that are awesome, and a giant pretzel served with warm beer cheese that is incredible to share!I was on a mission. I had seen an 8 oz. skirt steak with chimichurri on the menu. It's not often I see chimichurri and I was drooling. I paired it with some fries and looked forward to an amazing lunch. It was out in good time. For a lunch plate, it was a very nice presentation. The nicely seared steak was coated with chimichurri with some additional served on the sided. The pickled onions were a nice touch. The fries were beautifully cooked. The steak was fantastic and a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri was bursting with flavor and the fries were exceptional! The meal was an easy five stars, but the service was a bit off. I'm going with four stars and a strong recommendation to get the skirt steak!"

My platter was extremely well proportioned and the onion rings were as good as any I have had in much more expensive places. Great area to walk around and then come for an equally great meal.Inside the restaurant is pretty upscale and much nicer than you'd expect from the outside. Honestly, between the name and the look from outside this is never a place that would catch my eye, but I'm glad that I decided to try it one fateful day.Everything I've tried has been so high quality. In my most recent visit I got salmon pasta, and the salmon was cooked to perfection, it was marvelous. The service is good and everyone is friendly, and they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. You can make reservations, which is probably recommended for when they get busy. And inside their bar area is pretty cool too. Jack H. "Ozona Blue is almost in the realm of "too good to be true." The first time my parents ever took me here at a young age, I specifically remember them trying to trigger excitement within me telling me "This place is different." Upon hearing so, I looked up Ozona Blue on google and deciphered that it had a pool and hot tub. When I discovered this, I ignorantly assumed either the food would be garbage, or the prices outrageous. However, it is almost comical how untrue this is- almost to the point of assuming they are losing money. It almost feels like a scam to go to this luxurious restaurant and pay very mediocre prices. However, this blessing is one which must be taken advantage of. The appetizers here are some of the bests in the world. The calamari, shrimp and wings are the big three in my eyes, but you cannot go wrong regardless. Additionally, no matter what meal you order, it is cooked to a supreme quality, and it magnifies the vacation-type environment that you can literally get in the water while you wait for your food. When I am in Florida, there is no place I look forward to attending more than Ozona Blue- because it provides a true vacation experience beyond simply food."

La Terrazza Ristorante Italiano

La Terrazza Ristorante Italiano

Ron R. "The end of one year. The beginning of a new one (2025). So, what better place to be than in a small restaurant that was private and different. It seemed we were stepping into a relatives kitchen, to sit at the table to talk, drink and eat. And all in no rush. This is typical Italian. And this seemed to be typical for La Terrazza. We planned to be here as the year ended, and it was a good choice as all of us said. Greeted at the door we were invited in to sit down at the table and see what there was to have. The team is excellent. The gentleman who was to help us went through the menu and started with what we might like to drink while we thought of it all. This was not too tough as it being Italian you might as well have a glass, or bottle, of wine. Red or white. It is your choice. And the wine was from Italy so it was a special choice to have depending on the main course. The wine was brought to us and we were ready to start with the appetizer first. In traditional fashion we ordered that first, later we would decide on the main entree. With wine in hand we made the toast and talked. The white wine we good. The red wine was also good. It was your choice. When the appetizers came we did make a variety of selections. I had the Proscuitto e Formaggio. This is thin slices of Parma proscuitto with shaved parma cheese, olives, tomatoes and salad. And excellent choice that is topped with a light vinaigrette. Excellent. We also had a plate of Insalata di Asparagi. A true dish of salad and asparagus, tomatoes, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and artichokes. This was also topped with virgin olive oil and lemon. A light refreshing taste that would also make an excellent dinner in the summer. We also tried other appetizers that we shared and enjoyed.Next the main entree arrived. We each chose some different entrees. All a good choice. To start several of us had the Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare....A true dish of seafood over pasta. This was hand made pasta as well. You can tell by the al dente style. This was combined with clams, mussels, sea scallops, and shrimp specially cooked and added. This was in a light white wine, olive oil, garlic sauce that is mixed with chopped tomatoes. Perfection. The seafood was truly fresh of the day. The pasta ideal. The sauce just needed a piece of bread to soak it up. We also had the Agnolotti di Aragosta e Garnachio. This is once more homemade ravioli that is stuffed with a mixture of lobster and crab meat. It is in a light Alfredo sauce that also had shrimp and asparagus. It is a different combination that once again was made fresh in the kitchen. It was what to expect if you were at home doing this.Natural, one of the items to try was the Veal Scaloppine Piccata. It was a thinly sliced piece of veal that was put in a white wine butter sauce with capers and parsely. This was served with chef's potatoes and fresh vegetables. And those vegetables could have been their own meal. It was an ideal mix on all levels. A good selection, especially with white wine to drink. Naturally we all shared the dishes we had.Once we completed our meals, and shared what we did, it was time for desert. For this we went traditional. A Cannoli or a Tiramisu. It goes without saying it is what you expect and the way it is made. We also tried a slice of cheese cake which was not as you might get in New York. The cake was thick and fresh. It was topped with a mix of berries, a sauce and a scoop of whipped cream. It was a multiple of flavors and textures combined on top of the cake.It did help to have an espresso to end the meal. And the evening.Overall La Terrazza is an excellent choice in Ybor City. The Italian difference to what you see outside. The team is excellent and helpful. The food is perfect thanks to the chef and team. The price is good for the meal you have the the portions you do receive. This is a great place to keep in mind next time we go back to be there. It is worth the trip without even going to Italy!Grazie!!!!"

David J. "Wow! The Mad Fish really made for an incredible experience. This spot is a hidden gem right out in the open! No reservation was needed tonight but with the quality of food, atmosphere, staff, and value... I can see this place being packed. I could see a nay sayer having an issue that there isn't a view of the water, but do not for one moment let that stop you. The fancy place two doors down on the rooftop might have the view, but hands down the food and staff make the Mad Fish incomparable.Ok, let's start with the staff and atmosphere. There is a sign street side but that is it. Free parking with plenty of spaces. An intriguing exterior giving the vibe of a diner from days of yore, you enter from a delightful porch with great lighting. Upon entering the building, you are instantly transported to a classy speakeasy look and your nose is overjoyed with the flavorful aroma of what was being prepared in the kitchen. The smell alone took the form an amuse-bouche, instantly making your mouth water without control. The host was the proprietor and happily greeted us promptly. We were seated in Josh's section and he was the absolute and most perfect match for us. He was incredibly knowledgeable, communicative, always had an eye on what we needed, yet was never intrusive. His personal recommendations were superb and he went above and beyond to answer any questions we had. If he wasn't t sure about something, he offered to bring someone with the expertise. He even shared a few local must do activities! Everyone was so helpful and the teamwork really shows!Ok, let's talk food!We started with the fresh oysters. They were outstanding without any of the fishy smell or taste. They were brought in from Louisiana, which was my first time ever having Louisiana oysters. I am generally a fan of Prince Edward Island Oysters, but these were excellent! They served them with sides of various sauces that were delectable and complimented the dish.Drunken Island Shrimp: This was absolutely outstanding, the broth that these delightful shrimp were bathing in could be enjoyed as a meal itself. Be sure to use your dinner rolls to sop up that broth, it leaves you with a cozy comfortable feeling with a large smile.Baked Goat Cheese: I think this is a must! The fig balsamic that the goat cheese was baked in was sooo good! There were sliced grape tomatoes, baby arugula, and what I believe was an apricot jelly. Oh wow! I think having some crostini would be nice, but it really was great as is.American Red Snapper: this fish was absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned to bring out the flavor of the red snapper. The risotto was enhanced by the butternut squash. I think that many places are overdoing risotto, however this complimented the red snapper and held its own flavor. Positively melted in your mouth!!!!!Swordfish Special for the night: I'm a lover of swordfish and this hit the spot. The Mad Fish cooks food the way it is supposed to be done, so this swordfish was outstanding. The slices of lemon, capers, and cream sauce paired so well! They also had broccolini and sliced baked tomatoes that were flavorful and not mushy at all. And then they had a couple of baked mushrooms stuffed with lump crab!We finished with a slice of key lime pie and their chocolate mousse cake. Both were outstanding! Some people might balk at the cost, but I felt that the portions were perfect for the price point, in fact, I think there was more than I expected for the price point. This is a must try and if I lived here, it would be a regular spot for me to enjoy. It really is that good!!!Enjoy!"
