"We took my Mother in Law out for her 85th Birthday on Saturday, we arrived around 6:15pm with a table waiting, while we had 1 person in our party that arrived a little late due to work, however MiKayla (sp?) was amazing. She ensured she continued to check on us throughout the wait on the 5th person, ensured we had drinks and paid extra attention to my mother in law. After dinner, MILW ordered cheesecake to go, MiKayla and another server came over with a candle in tow and sang happy birthday, she was thrilled. I would totally recommend / Food was great too, service was A+, Thank you Island View and MiKayla making my MILIW feel extra special at her birthday celebration /when we go back we'll certainly see if MiKayla is available and I'm so sorry if I misspelled her name!"

Lori B. "My girlfriends & I have been here a few times over the last year, mostly when it was Uncle Fats. This location is perfect for us because we are coming from Land O'Lakes and Town & Country. Now, it's Tom's Tavern, and they've made some changes. But this is still a fun spot for our casual girls nights!A few caveats: Tom's Tavern has a much smaller menu and no sangria. But we found lots of options on the new menu, and everything we ordered was delicious. I was happy to see they still have tater tots, and my girlfriends enjoyed their wings. Plus our server created a decadent cocktail for one of us with peanut butter whiskey, Bailey's & banana liqueur (a variation of an Elvis shot). We enjoyed tasting the first one so much that all of us ordered it next round! For my meal, I decided on the chicken tenders, which came with either potato salad or cole slaw, and choice of fries or tots. Unfortunately, the potato salad was served in a plastic container smaller than the dipping sauce cups. It was thick & tasty but I'm not sure why the portion size was so tiny! That aside, my tenders & tots were perfectly deep-fried, and I loved the house-made honey mustard & ranch sauces. This bar food is on point! Note, Tom's Tavern is suffering from a slim staff, as so many restaurants are. Luckily we were not in a hurry so we didn't mind. The two servers were definitely hustling all night, working all the tables.Tom's Tavern still hosts outstanding local live music. On our recent Friday night visit, JT Curtis & the Florida Scoundrels took the stage at 9pm for several long sets of mostly country music. This intimate venue is such a fun place to see talented musicians!Of course we'll return to Tom's Tavern. The location is convenient, plus they have tons of parking available in the plaza. The vibe is like a dive bar, but much cleaner & with better music.Edited to add the 5th star... Since posting this review, we have visited again. Service is still not speedy, but our food was delicious and our waitress remembered us & our custom cocktail!"

We find ourselves frequenting the bar on Friday after work to wind down with a beer and some chicken wings. The vibe is typically locals that are all hanging out and having good conversations OR you may find a few guys tossing a bag to a friendly competition of cornhole. If you are looking for fantastic perfectly cooked chicken wings, look no further - their sweet thai chili sauce is the best. They have live music on both Friday and Saturday night. Love this place!"

It was very light tasting and the breading was just right. I had the fish sandwich. Hamma was the fish. The fish was okay but it wasn't my favorite. I had never had hamma before and I don't think I'd order it again. Just not my preference. The fish was blackened nicely, though. To drink I had a strawberry daiquiri and it was delicious. Allison C. "We had a pretty great experience here on St. Patrick's Day! My boyfriend has come here a few times for lunch and says service is always good and food is good. We went there about 6pm and found the ambiance lively but not overwhelming for dinner and drinks. Live music was playing, but wasn't deafening even when we sat nearby at the bar. It took a minute to get food and drink orders in, but the pricing was a nice change from being gouged and the bartenders were friendly- just kinda had to yell at the bartender for her to take my order at one point. He got the corned beef and cabbage, which tasted heavily of nutmeg or cinnamon perhaps to me but he enjoyed it. Very tender, I just couldn't get past that spice. Maybe clove? I'm not sure. I had hot chicken fries and French fries and was pretty pleased at the homemade quality impression it made with me. Very spicy, nice breading, and had the texture of actual chicken. The biggest downside is you can't take a drink outside to smoke, and the mosquitoes are REAL heavy outside this establishment. I acquired about 15 bites from 20 minutes outside. If you're a smoker, it's worth covering up to come here. We did however meet a group of regulars that were phenomenally friendly and made the experience even better. I think we'll be back, it's a nice small business feel to the place and is worth checking out!"

We said we would stay if they had craft beer and they have one - Jai Alai, so we kept our promise and stayed. The bartender was very apologetic that they didn't have more craft beers. If they did, we would go back often since we live right down the street and the service was good. We had fun. But as dedicated craft beer drinkers, we have to have more of a selection. If "the Ho" gets more taps of good craft beer we'll stop by more often and bring friends. Glenn G. "Where it all began.... For a long time, my wife and I have visited 7venth Sun on our numerous trips to the Tampa Bay area... and while we have always stayed in the St. Pete or Tampa downtown areas, we have always felt the drive up to Dunedin was well worth the drive (even if it was about about 45 minutes out of the way). And we loved the beer.... there was something special that other breweries just didn't have. Maybe it was the atmosphere... maybe the always welcoming staff... maybe the small but intimate venue... or perhaps the patrons (always friendly). And then something changed... they opened their Seminole Heights location. For a window of time, it was closer and easier to visit the newer location. I liked this location but it wasn't the same as the Dunedin location. Less social since it was so spread out; I missed being at tables that we shared and bumping shoulders to the point that we sparked conversations with strangers (part of the beer experience; like a first date on every visit). Now that Seminole Heights in closed (which I am sorry to hear), I am excited that we finally we forced to drive back to this original location... didn't mind the drive and absolutely loved the beer, the vibe, the people; all of it."

La Chica and I made the trek out here this past Thursday to fill in some empty spots on a billiards league team, and we had a blast. To me, it was like a miniature version of Dagwood's in Tampa, but without the full liquor bar. Two 7' pool tables, food and beer only. I think I saw 8 taps, and the rest was in bottles. Felt kinda old school up in there, but that's not a bad thing. La Chica ordered some wangs, but I went for the Cuban. Why would I do that? Because the bartender said the owner's wife is Cuban and makes the pork for them, and they get their bread fresh daily from Casino Bakery. What I found what this this was a surprisingly good Cuban! Granted, the pork looked to be from a loin and it was sliced on a deli slicer, as opposed to be shredded from a pernil, but the seasoning was spot on. I don't get out to Thonotosassa very often, but I don't imagine many places out there can whip up a better Cuban sammich, so hats off to Koozie's.Would I return?
