"As distance runners, Mirage is definitely one of our go to places to eat after long runs! We love to load up on the different proteins, rice, and salads. And of course, plenty of baklava! The servers are friendly and the restaurant is pretty spacious and clean. Come hungry! You won't regret checking this place out!"
"The food is always very tasty and the service is great. I first came with a friend a couple of years ago and it was enough for me to go back. My partner and I get the plate that has meat variety, kibbeh, pita, salad, and hummus when we order from here. It's very good, have recommended this to others. Thanks for the great food and service."

"This is a small sandwich shop located in the basement of an office building in Clearwater on Laura StreetThere were no signs to find it so we walked around the office park for a few times, and then called the restaurant. The restaurant inside is pretty shabby, but the food was very good flavorful. We had the falafel, which is fresh and homemade. We also had the Shawarma little dry and crunchy. But the portions were generous, and the service was friendly."
"Freshest Mediterranean food around! Absolutely delicious. Order the beef shawarma for sure. Cooked and seasoned in heaven. The hummus is amazingly fresh and the best I've eaten including making my own at home. It has a very tahini forward flavor profile. Hubby loved his lamb rice bowl. We left full but not weighed down. I have leftovers for lunch! We will 100% be back!"
"5 stars for some stellar food and great prices! Walking up to the restaurant you don't expect to see a nice patio out in the back and it's hard to find at first as it's tucked away on the side.We chose to sit outside, it was a large space playing music and videos. I love that they give free pita and dip to start. The sauce was a sesame spice, it definitely holds a kick if you get the right amount. The chicken shawarma platter is what we tried, $17. It comes with two sides, we got the basmati rice and tabbouleah (which is an upcharge of $3). I absolutely loved this dish and that garlic sauce is fire! Also tried the kufta Kebab sandwich, $9. It comes with hummus, tomatoes and red onion. It was a little small but the meat inside made up for the portion.Service was quick but they did take awhile to get the bill to us. Otherwise, a great first visit. I would definitely recommend this place!!"
"Very fresh and great flavors. Everything cooked to order. There is a wide variety of meals to choose from. They also have large family meals. The pita bread was very favorable. Great location!"
"Wow !! Flavors x10!! The food here is amazing! We ordered a falafel pita and vegetarian platter (falafel) and it was amazing!! You get so much food and it's all made fresh to order. The restaurant is small so we toook it to go but it's authentic and with a homey feel. The service was good and quick. The service was quick And friendly!"
"We decided to give Petra a try after having a poor experience at 2 other Tampa Mediterranean restaurants. Ambiance: The place is casual, clean and comfortable. There weren't many people inside so it was nice and quiet. Nothing fancy, but that was expected. Service: Our server was friendly, and attentive. No complaints at all, very pleased.Food: Kind of a mixed bag, but this might be more personal preference over good vs. bad. Some things like the babaganoush were delicious and other items were just okay. Nothing was bad though, just nothing to write home about. For the most part we enjoyed our dinners but not sure I'd run back."

I can't believe I never wrote a review for Mirage before now. This has been my go to restaurant for 20 years. I bring all my foodie friends here. Everything I have ever ordered has been excellent but my favorite time to go is for the lunch buffet. There are a lot of choices and everything is incredible and fresh from the in house made pita to the best feta you've ever eaten. I love the eggplant stew, the rice options, the freshness of all the food. You can't go wrong here. Enjoy!

Delicious! My Auntie even asks me to get her treats they've made when our errands put us close. I have enjoyed everything we've tried.

We had lunch at one of our favorites today. It had been way too long since we visited. The Best Falafel I've ever very had and definitely get the Platter as it comes with almost all of their wonderful sides: hummus, grilled eggplant (nice char), hummus, tahini sauce, eggplant dip and Israeli Salad (cucumber, tomatoes, lemon juice and Olive Oil).We also tried the Chicken Schnitzel this visit. It was great quality chicken, crispy with a great breading to meat ratio. Great customer service as well as being family owned business. Everything is so fresh and delicious. It's a bit tucked away in the bottom of an office building but make sure you do find them and thank me later

My husband and I have drove by this spot a few times since it's right by our gym and have been saying we're going to try it, so we finally did! Great healthy meal after the gym!!What we ordered: chicken shawarma wrap with falafel, side of shicken shawarma, lentil soup & pita. The chicken shawarma was flavorful, stuffed, and juicy. The falafel wasnt dry like it can be a lot of the time. It also comes with a yogurt sauce which was perfect with it. The lentil soup I wasn't a fan of. I was looking forward to it and hoping it was made like my mom makes it. She blends it after its cooked and only uses lentils, onions, and broth. This was still chunky soup and had more potatoes than lentils. Still good flavor but I probably wouldn't get it again. We really enjoyed everything else. Heads up, takeout still takes 30 minutes to prepare as they prepare everything to order, so if you're looking for a 30 minute lunch, this probably isn't the place for you. Or order in advance, which I wish we did because I was HUNGRY and it smelled GOOD in there. Lol. We will be back to try more for sure.

We love Petra. It's great for take-out or dining in. Their pita is the best in Tampa and my son is obsessed with it. I could be content with their Pita and Hummus for quite some time. They have a large private patio in the back which manages to feel worlds away from busy and functional Kennedy Blvd out front. When dining in, you can order a pot of delicious hot tea which I though paired so well with their chicken dishes.

"We will be coming back here! Delicious Mediterranean food. We sampled some rolled pistachio baklava at an open air market in Largo; and knew we had to go there for lunch. Thin sliced marinated chicken and or beef gyros were what we chose. The meat was perfect rolled into a super soft thin pita with lettuce and house made taziki sauce. So many things on the menu looked great! We are going to be back very soon!Located in a strip mall, has free parking, a store front with bakery items, a wine bar and a beautiful and comfortable dining area! Prices were super especially for the quality. Friendly staff are happy to tell you about the food and wine. Looks like a great date night place also!"
"This is an amazing jewel hidden in Brandon, of all places. I adore Turkish foods and was happily surprised to find Salgam, which is a tasty (if acquired taste) and harder to find pickled Carrot Juice. They have a prepared foods section of Mediterranean food including baklava and Shawarma sandwiches, which are healthier and still very affordable for foods to go! None of the food made here is FAST. It's all just high quality ingredients that take time to make! Owners are super friendly and more than happy to make recommendation based on your level of "experimentation" around learning about the products they sell."
"We finally stopped in and were not disappointed! They give you complimentary hot Turkinsh tea and bread with dipping sauce. All were fantastic! We ordered the cold 3 app sampler. We got hummus, their version of taziki, and Dolmades. The Dolmades are the best I've ever had!We got the Mixed Grill which serves 2-3 people. Needless to say we had plenty of leftovers. I recommend getting double rice for your 2 sides. The rice was moist and had a hint of cinnamon to it. We shopped the adjoining store when we were done and picked up a pack of their scented wet hand towels they give you with your bill. It's the little touches they do that made our experience special in addition to the amazing cuisine. We will be back!"
"Located on the first floor of one of the high rise apartments near Curtis Hixton, Nana Middle Eastern is serving up some "build your own bowls".There is a multitude of options to choose from and no limits of the finishings (toppings and sauces) so you can basically put everything on your bowl. My base was the Nana's rice with the Kefta meatballs. You can also do half and half on your base. I loaded my bowl with almost everything and everything was delicious! They ran out of the tabouleh while I was ordering. I asked if they made more and I was still dining, if I can still try it. The wonderful gentleman brought a bowl of the Tabouleh outside for my table to share. Amazing service, amazing food, healthy food option and cool vibe! I'll definitely be returning when I'm in the area."
"they automatically add 15% "service charge" to the bill and then turn the iPad to you for a "tip" (with the recalculated choices of 15%,18%, and 20%). I chose 20% and when I went home and checked the receipt, I realized I tipped over 35% unknowingly. that's sneaky."
"Ladies and gentlemen I may have found the best restaurant in temple terrace. I knew I was going to enjoy the food the moment I walked in. The beautiful aromas of various spices lingered in the air and I felt a sense of excitement building up. The complimentary bread with olive oil, olives, and zaatar absolutely amazing and a perfect start off for our meal. Very fresh Mansaf - it's roti style bread, aromatic yellow rice with lamb and toasted almonds, it comes with a yogurt dipping sauce. The lamb itself is very fragrant with less salt than I expected , this is probably due to the fact that we should mix all the ingredients together for a balanced bite. It was excellent and the portions are awesome Olive tree platter - all your favorite appetizers in one platter , the falafel was top tier and the kibbeh just as much. The dips were perfect and highlighted how versatile chef yousef is. This is one of my new favorite restaurants and I can't wait to be back"
"Very delicious shawarma!! Very clean inside and you can see everything they are doing. Very friendly. Wish they were open later though."
"Rare Ethnic Food #46 Syrian Cuisine.I am going with the bad first. The the consistency of great food at everyday need to bring it to customer. With that said. Our experience with the restaurants for one day is fantastic. We were there Friday buffet. That is the only best day or what we call Prime Day. The buffet set off day only Friday and Saturday from 1 pm to 6 pm. Friday we have visited is the best day compare to my friend went on the following day. The food at Saturday is not nearly good as to Friday buffet. The Friday buffet has Mansaf - a authentic Arab lamb dish. It was delicious. It also has bake and bbq chicken, beef, fried fish. Other than the main dish. They also have about 12 other choices including the eggplant. Food is great on Friday buffet. It worth the price and experience to try their food. Since it is buffet, get all you can eat. We were stuff with food."
"Delicious shawarma, beef and chicken! The best in town! Very fresh and tasty. and the real deal! Definitely I will be back. Their kibbeh stuffed with shawarma, it is worth trying!, you won't be disappointed. أطيب شاورما بتامبا"
"The food was wonderful. Get some Yemeni bread. I wish they had the chicken dishes but I guess they were out. may take some time to receive main course. They offered Yemeni soup free when you walk in."
"We found this restaurant on Uber eats when we were looking for a new Mediterranean style restaurant. It was so good the first night that I ordered again the second night. Mind you, I don't eat meat so I don't have a lot of expertise on how a variety of their menu items taste but I can you tell 100% there falafels, rice, & hummus are the bomb!! Everything was prepared correctly and hot. Once again we ordered through Uber eats so I can't speak on their customer service"
